You can upgrade the theme to latest to solve any issues you have. As a general guideline upgrading the theme before upgrading WordPress will prevent issues. Specially with WordPress 5.0 because a lot of things had been changed in it.

Upgrading WordPress to any major release is going to be a sensitive step, so keeping the theme at the latest version available is important before WP is upgraded.

4. When I create several galleries, each of them can have a separate background, which will NOT be a part of a gallery itself? (i.e. when viewing the photos in the lightbox, it will not be one of them).

And there will also be a possibility to create a page with list of all albums, such as this: http://kreativa.imaginem.co/portfolios/worktype-albums/?theme_style=dark where each thumbnail will be a featured photo from a specific gallery, BUT not the background photo? Can the galleries on such page be re-ordered freely?

What I am trying is to get the look more similar to Kinatrix, which would be visually my almost ideal theme, however I see that Kreativa has much more functional lightbox: with thumbnails, and more control buttons (full screen, zoom in…). Or maybe I am missing something in the Kinatrix demo?

4. Each page can have a separate page background. Page backgrounds can be set in page settings.
5. Albums are part of portfolio posts. An album is a category. You can set featured images to portfolio post categories. Many portfolio post categories this way can be displayed as an album. Album thumbnails link to another gallery which displays all the portfolio posts added to that category.
You can reorder album using this taxonomy order plugin. https://wordpress.org/plugins/taxonomy-terms-order/
6. The opacity setting on each page will affect the page color. That’s the one shaded red in your screenshot.
7. Menu colors can be changed via theme options. Colors are applied to the menu sitewide and is not specific to each page. Opacity control for the menu isn’t there. You can apply colors to the menu and menu items via theme options.
Best if you choose the theme based on the features it has in demo. You may not be able to replicate features in another theme if the features aren’t displayed in demo.

Hi, I will be re-building my photography site from scratch and have few pre-purchase questions as I am considering using Kreativa template. This may be some basic stuff, but I’d like to check it anyway:
1. I really love it that all pages can have a photo in the background, or even slideshows. Can each page (eg. a separate album/gallery) have its own photo? Can the opacity of all semi-transparent parts (like background of the gallery, or the menu) be changed?
2. In the demo, all the lightboxes are shown on a one-colour background (white or gray), which is not really what I would like to have. Can they have a semi-transparent background, so one can also see the page in the background?
3. Can (during viewing the gallery in lightbox) the captions and thumbnails get visible/hidden by visitor clicking somewhere, or is it only defined and fixed when creating specific gallery / uploading specific photo?

1. Each page can have it’s own background image or slideshow. Adding more than 1 image will turn it to a slideshow, and 1 sets it to static. Here’s screenshot of page settings where you can see the choice seen in each page. https://d.pr/i/ckN2jL
2. We can provide you code through theme support forum to set lightbox background as semi transparent.
3. The lightbox currently displays the thumbnails below the lightbox image. We can provide you code to remove those thumbnails through theme support if you require. This will however remove all thumbnail support in theme for lightbox.
You can remove the image title and description text in media library to have the title and description to not display per image. Or they can be disabled sitewide through theme options > Lightbox settings. Check screenshot https://d.pr/i/x9daEQ

Pre-sale question. the photos that appear in a proofing gallery have a visible code that comes (I imagine …) automatically generated. Now for the typical needs of a photographer it would be essential that the code be the actual name of the photo file so that the photographer can easily identify the photo approved by the client based on that code. Sorry, we don’t have enough information about the plugin for us to give our word on it. Best if you ask the plugin author to see if they work along side other lightbox plugins and only capture the default gallery without interfering with others then it should be ok.

For the slideshow on the homepage, can users advance the image when on mobile (smaller screen when arrows disappear)?. I noticed in some of your other templates (ie., Kinatrix), there is a progress bar discreetly shown on the bottom as as well as the ability to swipe to the next image (before the timer completes). Is the same ability in Kreativa?
