yes, simply take what you need and delete the rest.

The template was built with SASS (scss) and the CSS is compiled from SASS that’s the reason it looks like that – if you see the scss files you will see that everything is more organized and split in partials.

So you can simply comment out what you don’t need and from the ‘includes’ in the main.scss and get very small CSS files only with your elements that you plan to use.

Check prepros.io (it has GUI and is more beginner friendly) if you plan to recompile the styles.

the best way to add YOUR changes is in a separate .css file that is loaded last in the head of each page that you what those changes to show.

For the Full Screen BG. yes, that is the way to change the image via CSS, just reference the path to the image that you want to show.

Hi there,

I am aware of this problem and this bug was fixed in the WordPress verison of Definity. In the HTML version is noted as a bug and should be fixed in the next update (there is no date of release yet).

It’s a simple CSS fix if you are willing to do it yourself – just use media queries for mobile screens and make the link show all the time and cover the whole portfolio image.

You need to use CSS to change the hero background, for example:

.web-app-hero {
    background: url(PATH/TO/YOUR/IMAGE.jpg);
    background-size: cover;
    background-position: center;
}

Add this (with the img path) at the end of main.css.

The template was build by using SCSS and that’s the best way to modify it, but you need to compile back the SCSS to CSS in order to see any changes. For that you will need something like Gulp.js or Prepros.io (has GUI) and of course you need to know SCSS/SASS.

Basically you need to compile SCSS files: main.scss & responsive.scss back to main.css & responsive.css. Or you can even create your own SCSS partial like _my-edits.scss and include that at the end of main.scss.

To edit SCSS files you need to compile back to CSS in order anything to have effect also, the template was build with SCSS so this is the best way but, requires knowledge of SCSS which is recommended but optional.

To make CSS changes, simply add them at the end of main.css file or in separate css file that will be loaded last.

If you are talking about the hero bg images, they are added via CSS, you need to put your CSS edits at the end of main.css file, or in the separate CSS file that is loaded last.

}

There is no PHP script for the landing page because this is an HTML template, the rest of the implementation is left to user preferences.

to edit the HTML version of the Definity you will need minimal HTML & CSS knowledge.

I would recommend the WordPress version of Definity link here because is made that you don’t need any programming skills to edit it and everything is visual.

you have the HTML template purchased – there is nothing to be installed. Just make your edits, add your own content and put the template on a server.

From your link, it looks like you are missing CSS files or you are loading them incorrectly.

The template has no errors and it is working fine in the demo, check your assets paths (css & js).

Ok, re-write the media query of the gallery/portfolio so the when the gallery/portfolio item is on mobile screen the whole image is a link, instead of the small button that sliding form the top right.
