Hi There, I purchased this theme few days back. I have a staffing company & do not have a developer to help with few issues I am facing in the site. The idea of business currently is : We would not be giving much access to the employers, we would be creating the company profile from our end, shortlist candidates and add them to their profile to have a look. Kindly look into the following issues:
I wish to have job search and listing categories a different way i.e. first the Industry Vertical (2 of them) a candidate can choose which vertical he/she belongs to, then the departments (10 in first vertical, 3 in second vertical) a candidate can choose which department he/she belongs to and then the designations (almost 10-15 designations in all departments in all verticals) a candidate can choose which designation he/she want to apply for. In Advance search there is no way to minimize the vertical in dropdown, hence the candidate would have to scroll really down.
I wish to add those Audio Interview & Video Interview files from the admin dashboard to the candidates profile. Can and how can this be done from my end?

In Advance search there is no way to minimize the vertical in dropdown (There is a -ve and a + sign in many dropdowns where we can minimize or compress sub categories that we dont need), hence the candidate would have to scroll really down. https://prnt.sc/mohf4w. In case, this minimization is not possible; https://prnt.sc/mohkj5 This dropdown is the closest example that we could use. Can this be arranged?

2. On this image https://prnt.sc/mohf4w, the industry, department, position is the custom field or what? If this is the custom field, it can’t link the field A to field B to field C as you want.
All our custom field is independence, it can’t condition the category with department and positions field on the advanced search.
We need more time to R&D the custom field.

Hey Job monster, before I updated the theme, I could see all the Jobs under my user dashboard “Jobs” , liked Jobs, applications, viewed Resumes etc, but after I updated to the newest version, all the jobs were gone on my user dashboard.

I have a customer for whom I think this can help me solve their feature list, but I need to have business profiles with categories /and/ subcategories, both available to search and filter on. Is this possible with this code? Is it already done? If not, how hard would it be for me to do it, basing it off the job category/subcategory code as an example? This is a hard feature requirement, so I must know before investing—or if I can get a trial version to see if I can make it work?

Hello, so my client purchased your theme and I am installing it with defaults on a fresh wp site. I am not seeing a “company sidebar” in the options, nor in the setup any way of editing subcategories either for the jobs or companies. Is there an updated version with these features that I’m missing?

I can’t authorize that. It’s also missing advanced company search. Also, attempting to view the company listing page asks for a company id and secret key—not sure why nor where to find those. Also, there’s nothing in the docs about company categories, nor anything in the docs about subcategories for either of the two. The only reason I had my client purchase this theme was because of your quick response in updating your live demo to have company subcategory and job subcategory support—both of which seem to be missing in the version my client downloaded from your site. How can I check that the file they downloaded is the latest with these new features?
I found the job category settings, and was able to add subcategories there. They do show up in the search dropdown, but do not look like in the current live demo w/nice check boxes in front of each. “multiple Select” is the current setting for the job_category custom field, if that matters. There is no “Company Category” settings page analogous to the “Job Category” settings page under the “Jobs” main menu entry on the dashboard. Currently, on the “Add Company” page, the “Category” is simply the Job Category, flattened—not a separate category-type to itself.
Okay, in some places the Category search dropdown does look liike in the demo with the checkboxes. But there’s definitely no separate company category-it’s using the same category list as Job-we must have a separate set of categories for company-which I thought you had added, but is definitely not in the version we have installed.
In your widget.php there is a Noo_Job_Category_Widget class, but no Noo_Company_Category_Widget class, thus the version we have is missing the update.

1. To change the multi-select for job category on the search form, please go to JobMonster/ Custom field/ Job tab, you will see the job category field, change that field type to multi-select. It will show that field select box like our demo.
2. We use the same category for Job, Company and Resume.
3. With the company widget, you can use the 3rd plugin to add a new widget. We have the config at customizer to select the sidebar for company listing.

I need a separate category type for company-independent of the job category. There is no “Company Sidebar” in the list of sidebars to select. There is also no “category” option in the “Company Advanced Search” items in any of the search positions.
Sorry, we use the same category for the Job, Company and the Resume. With the company sidebar, you can use 3rd plugins to create a new widget. Example the plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-sidebars/
To have the category option in the “Company Advanced Search”, you need to enable that option on the Custom Fields/ Company.

Is there a way to PREVENT multiple logins with the same credentials? I just realized that this is possible which puts the whole “subscription purchase” operation into jeopardy..
I thing this is a Wordpress “feature” but I still can’t believe they don’t offer an option to limit logins….
What if an employer shares his accounts with 10 friends? Can they all login using the same credentials and “enjoy” a free ride viewing resumes?
Any idea how to prevent this? Any plugin maybe?

Well thank for the heads up! I did my research too and after trying several “snipets” it turns out that it is much simpler than that (which creates a plugin essentially).....
Here is the snippet that blocks multiple logins and works great in my case with JobMonster…I added this at the bottom of my “functions.php” in Noo Child Theme.

Yes you can if this is what you need but then you need to do it per user which can get to be a LOT of work.
I also found a free plugin that allows to set a global login sessions limit :
https://wordpress.org/plugins/loggedin/If one requires per user sessions limits you have to go with the first solution or something similar is the way to go…I might work on it later on on a staging copy of the site to see how it works..

Well another question as we are almost ready to launch.
How can I set the “refresh” times for resumes in candidates member page…I tried using the field “Max Resume Refresh” in Noo Settings but it does not work…it defaults to 5 no matter what. Also is there an option to disable this function completely if we need to?

BTW..Please consider offering the option to limit the number of resumes each candidate can post to 1 meaning that the “Post A Resume” menu option should disappear after the initial resume posting.Some use cases require things to be really simple (such as ours that has no job listing or job posts) and this would be of great value.
With the resume limit, I think you should use the package to post a resume. You can set the resume limit for each package as you want. With the price, it will avoid the spam resume.

We don’t want to charge for resume posting but I guess I can use the free package for this…
However, your packages don’t offer “Recurring Payments” so we don’t use them…we sell subscriptions through WooCommerce product plugins that allow this and limit access to your custom post types through other means.
So having the option to limit the number of resumes posted would still be valuable while also having the ability to offer recurring payments…
At a certain point you need either do the above (would prefer it) or offer recurring payments through your own custom products for JobMonster to be complete because indeed it is a great Theme.
Another big challenge would the ability to limit the number of resumes a subscribed employer can see based on unlocking certain fields (e.g. contact details, photos, addresses)....
At one point in order to overcome the “recurring payments” limitation we even thought of selling a subscription through Woo or Yith subscription plugins that would unlock a page with a “Free Employer Package”....
Anyway, there are always workarounds if one is willing to look for them..

As you know, our theme loading the min.js file at the front-end. But if you want to edit the js file, you need to copy the content from .js ( datatable.js ) to .min.js ( datatables.min.js ). It will help you easy to change the .min.js file content.

Great theme but the support is very bad at this point. I’m stil busy making a platform with this theme and need some help here and there on bugs and issues within the theme. Sometimes i have to wait 7 days and not recieve a reply on the topic which means i can’t go through. Also my support is about to run out because the replies of the support take so long that I can’t make steps in the right direction.

I have yet another issue I need to deal with. My clients do NOT want job listings on the site right now and I am looking for a way to disable the “Post a Job” function for the Employers.
It appears on the mobile menu and I was wondering how to remove it permanently and securely. I tried using CSS + a redirect but the redirect is not working.

I’ve tried these and for:
1) It works but FYI only after unchecking all the “Show Fields” below the “On/Off” button. Previously I had some checked the “Off” was not working.
2) It wasn’t possible though the settings member menu but it is working. Now I also unchecked eveything job related int he customizer.

One of the issues I have with this theme using it for 3 years is Structured data issue, especially with the page /jobs for latest jobs. Google warns that “Structured data does not match page content” while the single job post warns missing data structured. It is really killing my SEO.
