Hello, guys! I bought your theme recently and found that it’s very hard to use your Twitter widget novadays. Like, you can’t go to the Twitter Devs website as mentioned in the Documentation and simply create an app and get all the Tokens and Keys to fill in the widget settings. You need to apply for a Twitter developing account, describe how you going to use Auth. Keys and so on, where and which data are you going to collect, etc, etc. I was rejected multiple times, so I can’t use this widget. It was allowed for everyone to create Twitter Apps several years ago, but now it’s harder, because you have to apply and prove that your goals are somewhere beyond simple “embedding”, otherwise you’ll be redirected to “use the standart WordPress widget without Api Keys”.

Hey AskeTBS,

Thanks for your purchase of Ember.

We just responded to your open support ticket regarding this issue.

Hi, beautiful clean design.

Is there a way to add pages, for example, privacy policy, terms of service, or contact etc?

Thanks in advance.

Hey ajbf150,

Thanks for your comments and interest in Ember.

Ember fully supports WordPress custom pages in addition to posts. You can link to these pages either via the header navigation or customize the copyright markup in the page footer via the included theme options.

If you need help with this open a ticket on our support site and we will be happy to help.

Hi, is it possible to get rid of responsive tables functionality?. While it is a great function on small tables, is a bad idea in bigger tables because working with many data the tables are too wide on desktop and too long on mobile.

Hey thejosetree,

We don’t include a theme option for this, however you can still disable this feature by overriding the CSS media queries via the customizer (or within a child theme). It’s worth noting that this feature is to prevent tables causing the page to scroll horizontally, or the table content being cut-off on small viewports such as mobile.

If you need assistance with this customization we will be happy to assist via our support site.

Hi,

I’ve 2 bugs:

- The avatar is not round on level 4 comment

- The reply button is too small. “Répondre” is truncated.

This can be seen here : https://www.camilleroux.com/2019/06/12/pourquoi-jai-supprime-disqus-de-mon-blog/#comment-27054

Hey camilleroux,

Thanks for letting us know of this. I have made note for this to be corrected in the next theme update. Please create a new ticket on our support site and we can provide a solution until this update is available.

Thanks! I can’t create a new ticket, I don’t have support access anymore :(

If your support has expired you can still create a ticket under the ‘Bug Report (Support Expired)’ category if your issue is bug related.

Hi, working with tables it’s a real pain in the ass. Everytime I try to assign the data-lable attribute to headers for a better presentation on mobile devices the table block on the Gutenberg editor stops working and says that there’s an issue. If I click on resolve, the data-lable is removed from the cells. Can you give me some guidance on how to do it in an easier, faster and error-free way?

Hey thejosetree,

Thanks for your purchase of Ember.

This functionality is provided by WordPress Gutenberg core, so we unfortunately have little control over how this block operates. With that said however, Ember will automatically append the ‘data-label’ attribute to table row headers, so there is no need to add this manually. It’s currently not possible to assign a header row via the default Table block options (although this is a feature the WordPress team is working on), so I would suggest using a rich text editor to generate the table, and copy/pasting this into the Gutenberg editor.

If you need assistance with this or have any further questions please get in contact via our support site and we will be happy to assist.

is this theme compatible with wpbakery?

Hey Alia_Stone,

Thanks for your interest in Ember.

Ember is designed to be used with the default WordPress post editor, but you shouldn’t encounter any issues using a page builder plugin if this is preferred.

Ember has been updated to version 3.1.0, below is the change-log for this update.

13/12/2018 - v3.1.0
+ WordPress 5.0 Support (Release)

+ Added Gutenberg Editor Styles
+ Updated Post Share Options
+ Updated ‘Ecko Blocks

Hi, there.

A few questions:

  • Does the cover page header only appear on the blog’s home page, or on the post pages too (provided you haven’t set a feature image for the post)?
  • Where do the blog name and tagline appear? Are the positions customisable?

No problem Chris, glad I can assist.

The blog description is a custom theme option – the default WordPress tagline has a short character limit, while the blog description option does not. In this case, you can simply use the same text for both and there would be no difference in functionality.

For an idea of how a textual blog title would look, when a blog logo is not assigned, please see this screenshot.

The upper left logo is intended as a home button, a simple way to navigate back to the frontpage. Any instance of the blog logo will be replaced with the blog name if a logo is not assigned, including this one. As previously mentioned the blog description is displayed on the frontpage, and footer of all pages.

The cover height can easily be adjusted with some custom CSS. If you decide to purchase Ember, we would be happy to assist with this via our support site.

Thanks so much for that! I’ve sent a couple more questions to your support email address.

No problem – we just sent over a reply to your email.

Hi EckoThemes, I was about to purchase this theme, but it seems it does not support full width images inside posts. This has been asked for about a year ago in this comment section – are there any news on integrating this feature? I would’ve instantly bought this theme with full width picture support.

Hey lamigra,

Thanks for your comments and interest in Ember.

Functionality for full width post images is being added in the new Gutenberg editor for WordPress 5.0, as such we will be updating Ember to support this in our Gutenberg theme update, which we will have available before the official launch of WordPress 5.0.

Hi guys, i’m just wondering: what tools do you use to make tables? the table in the demo is very cool.

Hey vitorpinho,

Thanks for your comments and purchase of Ember.

Our theme tables use standard HTML and CSS – no extra plugins are necessary. We do suggest giving your table header elements the ‘data-label’ attribute, so they can be better presented on smaller viewports. If you need any assistance with this let us know via our support site.

Beautiful theme! Is it compatible with the Aesop Story Engine plugin?

Hey iansr,

Thanks for your comments and interest in Ember.

Ember is coded to WordPress standards, so you shouldn’t encounter any issues using plugins which don’t require specialist integration. We can’t however guarantee compatibility with third-party plugins as we have no control over how they may be implemented.

Ember Pre-purchase Questions

This theme looks like just about everything I’ve been looking for: minimalism, responsiveness and great support

I’m very interested in purchasing and installing this on my website, but I have three quick questions before pulling the trigger:

  • Is it possible to center the fixed menu and do away with “hamburger” completely? It would be far more clean for my site’s style.
  • Can the header and footer be made far shorter than they are (I’m thinking about 30% of their height on the demo) and include only basic information? Is the above the footer opt-in optional? By basic information I mean simply the site logo and menu in the header and copyright/ theme information in the footer.
  • Is it possible to remove post date, category, etc from the posts and home page and leave only the title (in other words, globally)?

As you can tell, I’m going for a very minimalist feel that focuses highly on the written word. This theme seems almost perfect, so I would be beyond enthused if the above could be adjusted.

I’ve looked over other themes in your portfolio, but I feel as if this one hit may hit the nails almost squarely on the head- so long as I can make some quick tweaks!

Hey ZFrank268,

Thanks for your comments and interest in Ember.

  • The menu icons can be hidden via some custom CSS that we can provide via our theme support.
  • We don’t include an option to centre the static menu, so this would require a customization to achieve.
  • You can choose to hide the various elements of the footer via the included theme options, and the email subscription section is optional and will only appear if you have enabled it.
  • The height of the footer is dynamic to its content, if you choose to remove elements it will reduce in height. The header is based on a viewport height value, if you wish to change this we can assist via support.
  • Post meta information such as author, category, etc, can be hidden via the included theme options.

I highly appreciate your extremely prompt and detailed response to my questions!

Based off of that and of what seems to be generally very positive feedback from your customer base, I have decided to purchase and install your theme on my site.

That all said, I have several fixes related to the above that I’ll ask through your dedicated support (and once that’s done I’ll have a few small customizations).

Thanks for your comments and purchase of Ember – feel free to direct any theme queries to our support site and we will be happy to assist.
