Hi, i’m looking for help about a landing page template. I saw that shaunisme asked the same question 5 years ago :
“Hi. I’d like to make a request for a landing page for this theme in the next update. It’s a good theme, but a landing page would make it even better. Landing pages are a must have for today’s internet marketers and business so I hope you add this in. Thanks in advance.”
I tried to do what you explained but it seems it’s not as easy as it used to be 5 years ago with all the updates you made on Valenti Theme.
Could you provide a Landing page template with no header, no nav, no footer or explain to me how can i create this template myself?

There will 100% be an empty shell page template added in Valenti v6 update (under development right now!), and so until then I’m afraid there isn’t much I can do to help. If you need this type right now though, you could consider upgrading to our latest theme called Zeen: https://themeforest.net/item/zeen-next-generation-magazine-wordpress-theme/22709856 which has an empty page template (no header/nav/footer), but also has the ability to create landing pages with the Tipi Builder (Included with Zeen).
That theme also comes with a migration tool to convert Valenti data over to Zeen with one click (Including reviews/audio/video/gallery/etc data).

That has indeed already been patched up in the next update, but to explain it – that isn’t actually the theme, it’s a third party extension that isn’t PHP 7.2+ compatible yet so shows that warning. If you can change back to PHP 7.0 on your site for now, that will fix it

Thank you for your kind reply, i already know Zeen but for us this is not the best solution, because in our website we have webzine, community, shop, webradio and it’s not very easy to decide a template change. Actually Valenti fit very well and i hope the new version will be ready soon

Do you have an approximate release date for the new version ? Will it be faster than this one ? We really need to make our website faster, the v5 is a bit slow and only allows php 7.0.

It’s under heavy development right now and will indeed be faster than the latest Valenti version out right now. The development version is already fully compatible with PHP 7.3.2 too I can’t share an ETA publicly yet but it is the main Codetipi focus so will hopefully not be too much longer. I have immensely enjoyed using this theme. I have two questions. 1. Can the Review feature be added to Pages like they are on Posts? 2. Is there a way to set up the review to be active by default without having to activate it manually for each post?

1- I’m afraid not, however, there is a way to have reviews on pages by getting the Codetipi Let’s Review plugin – https://codecanyon.net/item/lets-review-wordpress-review-plugin-with-affiliate-options/15956777 Which works on pages too.
Valenti comes with the plugin’s API integrated, meaning if you install it, it will work similarly to Valenti’s built-in review system but with all the extra power of the plugin. It even comes with a migration tool to convert Valenti reviews -> Let’s Review with one click, making it really easy to make the switch.
2- I’m afraid not, as you’d need to set your desired details, so activating it everywhere and leaving it blank would look broken! In Let’s Review you can set default values (default design option/criteria names/affiliate button title/color/etc), so maybe that would help you.

Is there a way to disable “Breaking News” ticker on Mobile? With that enabled, it only shows that and not the logo. I’d rather have the logo

That removes breaking news but the logo isnt there :/ I have “Show Logo in Menu on Small Screen devices” in the theme options
Ah in that case – Did you also set a small logo in the theme option? It sounds like it might be missing.
Hi I have a major issue occur with my website which had a number of items added within the widgets section which is shown on the sidebar on the website in category pages. All the text box entries have disappeared leaving just the social media section. I haven’t made any changes or updates. I want to check if maybe an update from the theme has occured or compatible issue with wordpress 5 upwards?
I know my support has expired but my host don’t seem to be helpful and I’m concerned I’ve lost two years work. Can you help?

That doesn’t sound good, but the theme would definitely not just make things disappear randomly (it can’t, even if it wanted to do that)! did you perhaps rename your theme folder or do any similar things?
The theme is compatible with WordPress 5 for sure, just make sure you install the Classic Editor plugin so that you don’t have any issues with Gutenberg.
You should try disabling your plugins to see if one of them did something too!

What navigation with random/recent are you referring to exactly? And what modification are you looking to do?
Also, the next update is a big update that is currently under heavy development, it will be compatible with up to PHP 7.3 However, in the currently Valenti version you can definitely use PHP 7.0 with no problems.

Hi, I’m using this theme on my wife’s Hebrew (RTL) site, but lately have noticed that posts are not displaying on mobiles/tablets. Pages are fine, and both pages and posts display on desktops…it’s just the posts on mobiles which are an issue. I have updated the theme to the latest version, as well as the Hebrew Wordpress version, but still no joy. The website: https://bit.ly/2VMGBHM Any ideas? Thanks!

Tried disabling all, still having the same problem. I should mention that the post displays for a split second before going blank. Pages load OK on the phone…
That is so odd, it seems you have something detecting mobile phones and doing it, because if you resize your screen on desktop, it appears fine. What caching plugin do you have? Have you tried refreshing the cache and then disabling the cache plugin? Who is your hosting?
No caching plugin used, it’s a very small site. Hosting is by Nexcess, but they couldn’t help, they didn’t see anything in the logs.
Ah I see! Could you try setting it to LTR language in General settings and let me know if that has anything to do with it?
It displays when I set the language to English…but the punctuation and alignment is off…
Oh right that’s interesting, okay can you set it back and I’ll continue investigating the code to try to find the root cause of this.

I went on it again, but I see it’s still LTR, could you please set it to RTL again and I’ll continue investigating it there, as the solution seems to be a simple bit of CSS that is causing the issue.

Ah you’re right, I only looked at homepage again – but I think I may have identified the cause, try adding this custom css to your theme options > Custom code tab and see if it helps:
.cb-google { display: none; }
Still the same for me, it’s loading individual posts for a split second and then the blank page….
Ah it isn’t actually applying, try this instead:
.cb-google { display: none!important; }

Hi, I’ve purchased the theme… I have an issue with the opacity of the images on the mobile version – The opacity disappears when on mobile, and so titles are hard to read if the featured images is white color or light.
How do i increase the opacity of the tiles on the mobile version? Can you give me the .css code for this?

I’m interested in using the percentage score review feature. Do the categories have to be consistent with each review? If I set 4 categories and 1 doesn’t apply for a particular review, can I turn it off or set as N/A?

Reviews are set per-post, meaning that you can give any post in any category a review. If you don’t want a post to not have a review, you simply don’t enable it.

Sidekick – Install: Something went wrong with the plugin API. When trying to install Sidekick? Is there a way around this?

Thanks for choosing Valenti – turns out that Sidekick service was purchased by another company, and they have closed that prat of the Sidekick service down…. This will be removed in the next update, so don’t worry about it, simply don’t install it. It’s not really necessary anyway!

Thank you for your response. I have Envato Market v2.0.1 installed. I verified API token – all good. Still not showing update for this theme (running v5.4). My other Envato themes are updating fine – this is the only one which is not…
You’re welcome, but don’t worry about it, when Valenti v6 goes live it’ll appear and you can jump straight to that version.
