Two questions. 1. I already have and use your Castilo theme. If I bought this theme and installed it—would it keep all my Episodes that I already have entered intact but then also give me the ability to add video episodes?
2. Is there a way to move the menu up to the top on this theme, like it is on Castilo?

Hi Liviu, a couple of questions. We currently host our podcast via RSS.com and wonder about – 1. Is it possible to host mp3 files on AWS or any other cloud repository? Concerned about hosting limit of 3GB allowance. 2. When ready to make a switch to this template and self-host our podcast – I am aware that platforms will need to have an e-mail address to be available in the feed (that can be disabled thereafter to prevent spam) – that was the process with RSS.com at least. Is there such capability in this template? 3. Is there a view of what types of analytics available from back-end? Thank You.
Hi, thank you for your interest – I’ll do my best to help:
1. The theme doesn’t handle the file hosting, WordPress does – so sure, you can use a local upload or point the episode media to a remote URL or upload using a specialized cloud plugin). Basically, the theme doesn’t limit you to using local files;
2. Sure, the theme’s own RSS feed fields (like title, author, cover, owner email, etc) can be edited anytime via Podcast Settings;
3. Here’s a screenshot of the Podcast Statistics section you might find useful:

This is awesome explanation. Thank You. That makes sense and for now we can import existing podcast feed (from one of the platforms) to turn them into posts (until subscription with RSS.com expires and than launch our own RSS feed to syndicate) – per documentation – importing RSS feeds is supported on this template. One more question (if you don’t mind) – it mentions that import of RSS feeds is supported. Is it possible to set-up set-up a separate category (section) that will import Youtube (or Rumble) feed to exhibit on the website? So, we would have in menu two categories – Video (visualizations) and Audio (podcast). We currently have a podcast that is syndicated through all major platforms (from RSS.com) and in addition to that visualization (via a template) videos on youtube, but we plan to expand into Rumble, FB, Vimeo. To import one of these providers and feed into posts on the the website would be great.

I see the documentation, but I’m curious how to make episode jumping points? Will support for blubrry? Can we create jumping points for inside comment?
Hi, thank you for your interest – jumping points are created very easily using basic HTML anchor links. I can offer more technical details once you decide to make a purchase. You can use any external podcast provider when importing the RSS feed, but it is not recommended to use any other podcast plugin as it can cause compatibility issues. I hope this helps.

The URL structure for the episodes is generated by WordPress (custom post type name + post title slug) and this aspect should not be modified in normal cases as it can cause conflicts in the internal rewrite system. In short, I would suggest you avoid modifying any such aspect and also avoid adding the “Episode” string and episode number in the title (as there are special fields for this and the URL without them would look better). I hope this helps.

Hi, you can use embeds in your content as this is a standard WordPress feature, but for the podcasting RSS feed you’ll need to use direct links (not indirect iframes). I hope this helps.

Hi, by default WordPress doesn’t have such feature – but you could customize the theme to adapt to this requirement, with custom code of course (preferably in a child theme using the get_custom_logo filter). Would it be possible to add a paywall for some content or a membership function?
Hi, thank you for your interest. Indeed, such functionality would be available by using a specialized plugin that either blocks content or manages everything on a membership basis. It is not about which theme you use here, as it is plugin territory. If you do a quick search you’ll find plenty of such solutions as plugins; your project’s requirements decide which one is best for you. Hope this helps.
