All of a sudden this WordPress theme is making my site extremely slow. Should I update PHP, WordPress itself, or the theme? What else could be causing the issue?

Sorry, but we haven’t updated this theme in over 5 years, and its builder (King Composer) was permanently abandoned and removed by the developers, so unfortunately I can’t assist you with this at the moment. In the near future, we plan to revive the theme and rebuild it from scratch using Elementor, but it will be a completely new product with no backward compatibility. If you have an active support period, please reach out to our support forum and we’ll do our best to assist you individually.
Hi, That’s honestly very disappointing, especially since I never got to officially launch my site and I truly loved this theme. It feels like I paid for something I never got to fully use, and now it’s being phased out entirely.
I read that you’re planning to rebuild the theme from scratch using Elementor, but since it won’t have any backward compatibility, that basically makes it a whole new product. In that case, it doesn’t make sense for me to invest $ in support just to get temporary help on something that’s being abandoned anyway and will require another purchase down the line.
I understand software evolves, but this feels like I’m being asked to pay twice for a product that’s no longer what I initially bought.

Hi JD, I’m trying to update the “Advanced Custom Fields PRO” plugin that you use in the Lester theme but I keep getting a download error. Below is the error. I’m not sure what I should do to resolve.

Hey. I have this problem too. If you have a PRO version and you cannot update it, it means that the plugin version has been updated, but the archive for installing this version is not yet available (the author of this plugin often does this). Sometimes he just upgrades the version of the plugin, but does not add it to the repository for installation, which causes problems. Try to update the plugin later, or contact https://support.advancedcustomfields.com/new-topic/
Hi JD, I contacted ACP directly and they said to 1) deactivate the license and 2) re-enter the license then check for updates. Since you included ACP plugin with the Lester theme, I’m not sure what license to use for that plugin. Is this something you can email me directly? Or is this something that’s in the zip file when I download your theme? Thanks for the quick reply… trying to get this fixed asap.
Ok so I deactivated my license via Custom Field > Update. Now I need to know what license key you used for the Lester theme so I can reactivate. Just let me know, thanks in advance.
If you want to update the PRO version of the plugin, you need your own ACF key. The theme includes a PRO version of the plugin, but only a static version. I cannot supply a key for ACF PRO to every client,because it costs more than a theme. Just write to me in support (not in the comments), and I will help fix this problem.

Hi! I’ve tried contacting support a couple times and haven’t gotten any help from KingComposer or here. I’m trying to create a portfolio page and want to remove the metadata as well as not have the feature image show up on the portfolio page but DO want it included so it shows on the portfolio slider on the home page. Finally, I’m looking to remove or edit the giant grey header with the page name and navigation that appears at the top of the portfolio pages. Any help you could provide would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hello! 1. Yes, you can change these settings for the menu, global settings are applied to them, which can be set in theme options -> typography. 2. I did not provide this option in the settings, but it is very simple to do this, I could send you a hotfix that would make the boxed navigation menu. If you want, you can email me at the support. Hi, I got this theme as a freebie, wanted to install it, but it says style.css file is missing. I got that from other freebie theme too. Is that common practice with free themes? I would get support anyway after deciding theme is OK, but I don’t understand why those free themes are not allowing users to install them? Including yours?
