Really like using this theme, great work! Question: I have posts with a specific category of “archives” and I’d like to have the category page show the full posts. I know I’d need to make a category-archives.php and add some code but that’s as far as I can get as I’m unsure what to add after <?php get_template_part(‘loop’, ‘post’); ?>. Thank you for your help.

Category page is already created in the theme with default settings. Example page : http://godgrace.premiumthemes.in/category/christianity/
If you don’t want to display excerpt but all content then you can do it with below custom changes
1. Open file theme-functions.php file and go to line #365
File path : ../wp-content/themes/god-grace/framework/theme-functions.php
From Admin : Dashboard > Appearance > Editor > ( “God Grace” should be selected on top right dropdown menu ) Click on right side “framework” folder > click on theme-functions.php
2. In line #365 ( Post Summary / Content – function ), you will find below code

Dear, please let me know if there is any problem in doing by myself a full child theme without resolving the error below: “Trying to get property ‘post_content’ of non-object in /home1/betania1/public_html/wp-content/plugins/npo-sites-shortcodes/functions/custom-functions.php on line 325”.
If necessary, let me have this file modified in respect of having a clean child theme. The necessity of the child is the proper translation of some strings, without the risk of having them rewrite if a theme update occurs.

When I try to update the plugin, I get the following error: “To receive automatic updates license activation is required. Please visit Settings to activate your WPBakery Page Builder. Got WPBakery Page Builder in theme?” When I click on “Got WPBakery Page Builder in theme?” it says “If you got WPB in a theme, that means that theme author has a license and only he/she can download latest versions of WPB and include it in the theme. You as a theme user may use WPBakery Page Builder free of charge while you use the theme that came with WPB (because you have a license for that theme).”
Which means that I have to wait for you to manage the license in order to get mine updated?

We just uploaded GodGrace theme which has latest version of WPBakery plugin and custom-functions.php line #325 issue fix.
1. Please replace current theme with just uploaded theme ( we didn’t change theme and plugin version ).
2. Now go to Admin > Plugins and delete “NPO site shortcodes” plugin. When you deactivate and delete this plugin, you will find install “NPO site shortcodes” plugin message on top of the page.
3 Install and activate from top white box.

I was wondering if the name “godgrace” which appears in the source code of the website can be replaced with a custom name? Or will this affect the function of the website if it is changed?

We don’t suggest to change theme folder name. Page builders and many other sections of plugins are using absolute URL ( like WPBakery section background image URL path etc. ) in content which will not work after changing name. You have to fix many pages this section with new theme folder name.
You can change this name to any other name but with each new update you have to edit it manually from ftp after uploading latest version. If you are using child theme then you have to edit folder name in style.css.

You can add header.php file in child theme and do custom chages for sticky menu. Add sticky logo image code after
<div class="godgrace_main_nav">code and add custom css in child theme style.css file.

My website is using the “Home2” home page and showing Upcoming Events4, if a date has passed, it still shows it as coming up and because the error stems from the countdown, there’s a javascript error that breaks the logo slider, mobile menu, and back to top feature. Any thoughts on this? Is there a setting I’m missing possibly?

We just uploaded theme in which this issue is fixed. Steps to fix the issue.
1. Replace current theme with just uploded theme.
2. Deactivate and Delete NPO site shortcodes plugin.
3. You will find whitebox notice to install NPO site plugin at top of the page. Install NPO site shortcode plugin and activate it.
4. Refresh event page to check.

Hello, our WPBakery stopped updating content, I already downloaded the new version of the template, however, to be honest I am not that techy and I am not quite sure how to install again the package without losing all changes i have done so far, do you have any type of detail instructions on how to re install the theme without loosing info?

You can update WPBakery plugin with theme update. Latest version details are showing on top of the page in white color notice box. Click on updating plugin link in white box bottom section. This is a premium plugin so we can’t update it like free plugin so this steps is required.
We regularly updating theme with latest version of Slider Revolution and WPBakery plugins so you can update these plugins with theme update.

Hello, I have a question, I am using the included QPBakery Page builder, however, after a few days using it, suddenly it stoped updating the content, if I go and change a letter or update a Button link, it just don’t do it anymore, I tried to update the plugin since it has a pending update, but the builder says that since I received it on a theme, it needs either to be updated by you or I should pay for the license, at this point, I am not really sure if the issue is due to an update, because this update was there before I began to update the theme, and it used to work fine, it is just now that it stoped working, any help?

Two plugin is included with theme purchase, one is WP Bakery and another is Slider Revolution. Documentation is included with theme’s main zip file with all details for basic theme setup like one click demo install, blog page, side bar, mega menu, use of different shortcodes with WP Bakery page builder etc.

Hi, got this awesome template and is now adding content to it. I’ve created categories (speakers names) for all the sermons. Realized when I clicked on the category (speaker names), the search result only searched the current page but not the other pages. Example: If i am browsing sermons on page 4, and decided to search via category (speaker names) instead, and i clicked on the category (speaker name) at the top and it only search within the sermons on page 4. Sermons from the same speaker in the other pages does not appear in the search result. How do i set it to search all the sermons from the same speaker instead of just within that particular page i am on? Looking forward to your reply. Thanks

Sermons category is only used for filter (sorting) purpose in sermons list page and speaker name link is used for showing speaker website. Please send your website admin login details so we can check how speaker names category is created which can help to fix the same page speaker name url issue.

When you install and activate the theme then you will find notice box on top of the page to install/activate required plugins.
