To answer your remark : You may not see the post content because the site is (happily) protected by a maintenance page.
This is what I’ve beeing doing 1- on a blank and new hosting + empty + clean database, I’ve installed your theme + needed plugin 2 – Few times after, your theme generate and publish 53 posts with catchy title like https://sakinaconseil.com/advantages-and-disadvantages-of-quick-unsecured-25/ with poisonous base64 code and unneeded cookie code and/or suspicious url reported by my antivirus
NOTHING is installed but your theme + plugin, and these viral content appear on the 4 times i’ve empty + completly clean my hosting.
I’m quite fed up. I can’t run with your theme which seem toxic. If you are not able to find a solution, I’m asking for a complete and quick refund.

We take security very seriously, and our developement team is using best practives, and latest coding standard suggested by both WordPress and Envato marekt, and we assure you that theme is secured. Unfortunately, security can always be breached by people who want to harm your website or content for whatever reasons. Best approach in order to protect content is to have strong passwords for hosing cpanel, mysql database, and admin access, although you can also use some handy security plugins like maybe Wordfence in order to track admin logins and to check if some IP is blocked too often it could be due to brute force attack which you can then block permanently. In case that you didn’t notice such activity please make sure that you are installing theme which you have downloaded from Theme Forest and not from some other source or storred copy from hard drive. Also change all passwords and use strong ones (for cpanel mysql and WP admin).
Beside these guidlines we can’t suggest much more, but you can always contact hosing company to check with them if there are some security issues, and to check latest logins. By explaining your problem to them they can also suggest few things like for example limiting cpanel access just for your IP address or your Contry.
This is not something according to which we can give you refund, since Marekt security is very high, files are secure, and users hosing breaching and content injection isn’t cover in Theme Forest refund policy, since this is something which is unfortunately happening to a lot of users around the globle and which isn’t really related to some specific platfrom, but off course if you are not satisfied with the product you can try submitting refund request trough your Theme Forest account, and it will be processed according refund policy.

You can activate Hudson theme on your existing site and there should be no problems. With a litle adjustment that can be done through theme options, you can set your logo, menu, footer and other elements to look nice on our theme. We can also see that your site mostly contains blog posts, so you should not have much work to adjust it to our theme.

It seems that our developers have missed just to raise the theme version, so you now use the latest version of the theme, but it isn’t written in the style.css file. It can be solved easily, just go to wp-content\themes\hudsonwp and edit style.css file. You only need to replace version 2.2 with 3.0. Bonjour, J’aime beaucoup votre theme et aimerai pouvoir l’utiliser. Il presente un problème de sécurité (faille qui donne accès aux virus) Je l’ai reinstallé plusieur fois, fait changé la base de donnée… Malheureusement, je ne peux plus l’utiliser depuis. Avez-vous mis à jour votre sécurité sur le theme et les plug in ou sinon pouvez-vous me conseiller une de vos créations similaire dans les effets? shrinkage, coverbox… J’aimerai beaucoup pouvoir continuer à utiliser votre theme et suis biensur disposée à renouveler mon support si besoin. Si le problème n’est pas soluble et que vous avez un produit récent avec des fonctionnalités similaires je suis aussi preneuse. Merci d’avance pour votre temps et vos réponses.

Please, note that our themes passed strong tests on Envato market before releasing and there cannot be any malicious file packed with the theme. It could be that your hosting provider is recognizing something as bad file. Hi there, I’m getting an SSL error on our website where we use Hudson. I’ve imported a demo content. The one unsecured item in your theme on our site links to “http://demo.edge-themes.com/hudson2/wp-content/themes/hudsonwp/img/preload_pattern.png”. We can not find it anywhere in the theme source code and it links to an image on your server. The website is https://ebovandenbor.nl. Especially in chrome it doesn’t get a padlock right now. Could you help me out?

This issue can commonly occur when user activates SSL certificate on a website after the files have already been uploaded. Usually it comes down to removing the old images (that were uploaded during http) and uploading new ones (so they get uploaded with https).

Hi, I’ve just updated the theme to the last version (trough FTP)... but since then the Menu doesn’t work anymore (if one click the menu nothing happens) and by “themes” still says Version 2.2 and not the new one… Why is the update not working? Thank you! Paula

Thank you for reaching us.
Please, note that it is really important to perform this major update on right way. You should update your theme by performing the following steps:
1. Deactivate and delete Edge CPT plugin (you can do this via FTP, just go to wp-content/plugins and remove edge-cpt plugin folder completely) 2. Download the latest theme zip file from ThemeForest 3. Extract it and locate hudsonwp.zip 4. Extract hudsonwp.zip and locate the ‘hudsonwp’ folder 5. Copy/Replace the contents of the ‘hudsonwp’ folder to the /wp-content/themes/hudsonwp folder of your web site. 6. Login to wp-admin panel, go to Appearance > Install Plugins and install and activate Edge CPT 1.2
Everything should be working well after.

Hi, thank you for your answer but unfortunately the new version of the theme is not working properly… I asked the server to run a backup to make my site working properly again and then I did the update exactly like you said… and all the plugins (included CPT) were updated but the theme still appear as version 2.2 and the menu bar were not working anymore (again)... to fix everything I deleted the theme and I installed again the old version (2.2 with CPT 1.0.1) and everything work ok again… so I’m still having the old version… I can’t update… I don’t know what is wrong…

Hi, and thank you for your answer… if the “version” issue its only a “display” problem is ok… I thought that maybe the installation didn’t work well… but the problem with the Menu is the big deal… since the site doesn’t work…is it so important the update? I spent 3 days dealing with this issue and I don’t want to break the site again… I’m happy to be online again…

We’ve checked your site and we could see that the menu is working properly with version 2.2. If your site is working fine and you haven’t notice any problems in version 2.2, then you don’t need to update it to the latest version, so you decide which version you want to use yourself.

I contacted you a few times and just got a response but you didn’t see my other inquiries, which talk about a bunch of other issues. On chrome the widgets and different areas overlap. I also try to delete menu items in the backend and they don’t delete even when I cleared my cache. This theme is very buggy. Please help. I sent you my log in a ticket. Regarding the WooCommerce status, it’s a rather usual information. It came out of the WooCommerce latest update and once you imported our demo content, the old WooCommerce demo product templates were pulled and that is causing the information to be displayed.
Fear-not, however. This won’t affect yours or the work of the plugin and the end user won’t experience any difficulties whatsoever. If this really bothers you and you want the message to dissapear forever, you may want to refer to this article https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/fix-outdated-templates-woocommerce/ for a detailed explanation on how to update old template files.

Im really struggling with my site at this point….. i got halfway through it and then began to look at it on several devices and its not responsive… It looks ok on my iphone and my mac desktop using firefox…. but it doesnt look good at all using an ipad and safari or using a mac desktop with chrome. Just a quick one I am trying to create a multi column drop down menu like the one in your theme, however I cannot find anywhere in your documentation how to do this. I have tried selecting the wide option but this doesn’t seem to work well & i tried using the css class “mega-menu col-4” but this doesn’t seem to work either. Any suggestions?

This worked, however when ever I place/hover the curser anywhere underneath the main navigation menu the dropdown menu opens which blocks content, instead of only opening when hovering over the top menu item.

There’re 2 ways of updating your theme. First is to go themeforest.net/downloads and download the installable ZIP file. Then go to Appearance > Themes and upload your ZIP file. Then remove old version of theme and you’ll be provided with a notification to update all bundled assets. Other way is via FTP…
