First make sure that BoldThemes WordPress Importer is installed and activated (it is one of the required plugins for the theme)
Then, go to ‘Tools > BT Import’ and select demo xml file which you want to install.

Menu on desktop intermittently switches to mobile menu for some browsers. I clear W3TC cache and it appears to resolve so it is cache related BUT … how can I ignore? Yes, the theme does the required sanitization of the content output – we are obliged to implement it due to the security reasons by envato standards.
You can use a third party plugin such as https://wordpress.org/plugins/raw-html-snippets/ and place its shortcode on the page using text element.

Hi I purchased this theme a couple of years ago, but the customer went “dormant”. Now that he wants to reactivate the website, I need to make some modifications. I canot see though ANY special options in the “Appearance > General Settings”. I just want to for example remove a couple of buttons in the main slider, but I cannot find where!

Before everything else, please update the theme and accompanying plugins to the latest version – you can download it from ThemeForest.
Once you do that, have in mind the following: Appearance > Customize hold the general theme settings. Content is being managed on individual pages.
Provided that you have installed and activated Rapid Composer which comes with the theme, once you edit the page you should see its interface and you can edit the content using it.

I’d like to override the input button styles shown on touch devices, which is quite different to the submit buttons displayed throughout the website on desktop. As far as I can tell these are being added in somewhere, but I can’t find the location or work out how to change it.
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated

You can override input button styles using Custom CSS field on Appearance > Customize > General Settings panel. If you want to do it exclusively for mobile devices, please use media query statements in CSS – https://www.w3schools.com/css/css_rwd_mediaqueries.asp

If you want to do it globally, please set Sidebar Property on Appearance > Customize > General Settings panel to either Left or Right
If you want to do it on individual pages, please edit the page and add sidebar override global setting with the value right or left.

thanks for your great work. This is not a support-question because on Firefox everything works fine but it is a bug-report for the edge-browser.
Actual at our page no pictures will be loaded at edge-browser but only 5% of the users use edge, so its not so important.

Your slider image is in webp format. Edge and ie have support for it since late 2018 but it seems to depend on the version and on third party software on your computer if webp images are going to be displayed correctly – https://www.ctrl.blog/entry/windows-webp-appguard.html
Try switching to jpeg for testing purposes – if it works it is not a theme issue

Grid -> Tiled Format. Documentation is useless – “This format will be used in Grid content element for image which represents current post.” Demo content just has numbers 21,11,11,... What do these numbers mean? Where is the documentation for these numbers?

Thanks for contacting us. Each number represents number of rows / columns the cell will occupy.
The first digit in a number is a number of columns the element will occupy and the second digit represents the number of rows the element will occupy.
For example element represented with number 21 will occupy two columns in width (first digit) and one row in height (second digit).
Format 21,11,12 means first element will occupy two columns and one row, second element will occupy 1 column and 1 row and third element will occupy 1 column and two rows. Additional elements (not defined by the format) will have default 11 shape (one column one row)

If it is only data, you should not lose any of it. If you have modified files, they will be overwritten during the update. If you are not sure about this, consider creating a site backup before the update.

I have installed the them but cannot remove the side bar. Is there a way to remove it completely to the them is using the full width. Unfortunately, there is no option the page configuration to select a different template.
You can disable sidebar in Appearance > Customize > General Settings > Sidebar (select No Sidebar).

It most likely means that the theme’s functions.php has been changed by someone or something – probably some other script on the server or someone accessing your web server using ftp or some other similar channel.
If you take a look at the original theme’s functions.php file you will notice that the referenced line does not exist – $div_code_name=”wp_vcd”;

You probably have a script which executes each time you load something within WordPress and changes the functions.php – the best is to start from a clean server and start by installing WordPress again.

I know my support has just expired but thought it’s worth a shot.
Rapid Composer in the new version won’t let me space the addresses out, see below. See the address, I want them on different lines. Not sure what is going on.

You will have to use third party plugin for that (for example https://wordpress.org/plugins/instagram-feed/). Once you set up your feed, you can add it to the page using text element – just place the shortcode into the text element.

Since I installed the latest theme version and wordpress 5.0 Rapid Composer’s interface is not showing on page edit form?

We have tested the theme and Rapid Composer with the WordPress 5.0 and it did not caused any issues with the latest version of Reconstruction theme.
Please test if some other plugin causes the issue by switching them off one by one – YOAST SEO is the common one for example. If the issue persists, please send us wp-admin credentials and site url to info@bold-themes.com so we can take a closer look.
