These filters are available for all posts lists: Grid posts, grid with sidebar, classic, carousel, etc.

One more question:

If I wanted to tweak the way that blog posts are shown on the home page (picture + title + excerpt etc.) so it’s always fixed size and alignment instead of adapting, like on this page: https://www.tomlooman.com/ can I do that or tweak the php files easily to do that? So In that case the image has a fixed size, you can control the excerpt length and the number of displayed categories. The only thing you must add with caution is the title, like always 2 lines of text of always just one.

It is recommended to use only 1 post list per page to avoid problems with the pagination. But you can use as many carousel as you need filtered by featured category.
