We Are planning to set up and run a website with rewise, review and product’s details, pictures and Prices provided by vendors. vendors will be able to login to the member area and to list and update their products details and price, using CSV or XML file. on this site there won’t be basket or payment system to purchase a product by visitors, it will only provide listing of available sellers of particular products which visitors of the website looking for it. visitors will be redirected to sellers own site by clicking on the seller’s name or price of the product on the list on our website. we would like to know what type of Wordpress Theme will be appropriate for our business purpose. if you could please give us advice and suggestion in this regard. Also we’d like to know that are there features in the site that allow vendors to add their product which is already exist on our site and listed by other vendors, so they only need to add their own price and web site link into listing. I appreciate your help.

I am asking of loading the products. With your answer I assume the products needs to be imported. It doesnot load directly from websites via API calls….WHat ever products are there in our website, that will be available for comparison.

You have to import the products in order to have the data to work with. You cannot perform a comparison, searches, and other functionality just by loading data. Nobody would allow that.
Amazon, Flipkart etc will provide you with their APIs that you can use to get to import the products to your own site and create functionality that you need.

Hi, Can you explain how price comparison is made. From what I understand the comparising is based on the pid number from the xml file. So , for example, if the store A has a laptop and the store B has the same laptop, both products must have same pid number in the xml file so the comparising works? I want to make something like skroutz.gr but I don’t know if this theme suits for my project. Can you please explain how the price comparising works. Thank you in advance.

But this means that every shop must use the same id numbers for the products? It doesn’t make sense..for me. For example, if someone has an woocommerce eshop, he can use the sku number for the pid number .How will have all stores the same pid number for similar products?

When a product is created a PID is assigned to it. What you see as iPhone 11 Pro color Black is also recognizable with PID number that can be used for many, many things and for comparison too.
Every store will provide those in the xml file.

Hello I have a big problem importing data from xml. In the “compare product” fields of “wp all import”, when I leave some empty field for example the link or the shipping, the system reset the value of this field and I loose the old value. Hello, I already try to do a CSV import website with rehub and WP all import. When I was importing more than 10 000, the import was slow (around 24 hours !) and my server was down after… (it’s a big dedicated server)
I plan to add millions of products, do you think it can works with your system ?

It has nothing to do with the theme really and everything with your server capacity.
Adding millions of products in any WordPress theme will be an issue as WordPress was never created to handle something like that.
Thousands and tens of thousands are OK – millions you will struggle a lot.
