For those who also have the problem of upgrading the theme from PHP 7.4 to 8.0 (which seems to be a problem that the support team here has not been able to resolve for about a year), I have adapted the code accordingly!

The issue is in the plugin: theme_support_alicante in the subfolder: includes/helpers/shortcodes.php

There, you should look for the line: $this->$base = create_function( ’$atts, $contents = null, $base, $current’, ’$output = _WSH()>shortcodes>shortcode_output( $atts, $contents, $base, $current); return $output;’ );

You replace it completely with: $this->$base = function($atts, $contents = null, $base, $current) { $output = _WSH()>shortcodes>shortcode_output( $atts, $contents, $base, $current); return $output; };

Upload via FTP, and you can easily upgrade to PHP 8.0…

Dear Support, I have updated to the latest theme version and the website showed a white screen. I de-activated all plugins still couldnt work. I de-activated the theme and used the default WP theme everything started to work again.

I had to revert back to the old version, I am currently in version 2.0 and the visual composer is not working on the page edit.

Please advise, the website is going live by the end of this month.

I purchased the Alicante theme and I am having trouble using the built-in Events plugin – can you please tell me how to input the dates and times and how to sort the events chronologically or otherwise. I am just wondering why the “Testimonials” is broken on the home page. It dosnt slide correctly, and then the text becomes mismatched with the image. This was orignally working correctly, so I should not have to pay support for something that has since broken. Please advise.
