By “subnav”, do you mean the level 2 menu dropdown? Unfortunately, we cannot replicate this behaviour at our side. Can it be something at your end, e.g. browser or rendering glitch? Do you see it all the time or just occasionally? Do you see it in a different browser?

yes, for example if you hover over pages and then hovering over the options below will cause the text to render strangely. it only happens for me in chrome though, not firefox.

If you are speaking about background videos – yes, somehow it turns out we almost don’t have them in demos, but they are available, and you can use Youtube, Vimeo or selfhosted videos there. You can see an example in our ICO demo: http://themes.whiteboxstud.io/scape/ico/ (scroll down to see it).

As for the videos in a lightbox – they have standard size, and each video still can be expanded to full screen.

But so it’s not possilble to change the standart size to be already more full screen. It feels kind of silly to have the user click a second time just to get what he initially wanted.

and for the first video on the page below, which works without popup: http://themes.whiteboxstud.io/scape/main/video-player/ Is it possible to have it fullwidth? Is it possible to have an other Video-Loop Autoplayed and when you click “Play” a different video starts?

It depends on what a user wants – not everyone watches videos fullscreen, so why force them. Having said that, it’s rather easy to change the initial video popup size by simply adjusting some values in JS file, and we also might consider increasing it by default.

Regarding your second question – this is not available out of the box, so if you want this behaviour, you would need to add it manually.

First of all, you are probably looking at the mobile version, not the desktop – there the score is much higher. However, please bear in mind that it’s a demo page, which is designed to demonstrate theme’s features and beauty, not the optimization possibilities (which are dependant on many aspects beyond the theme). E.g. we didn’t compress the images to the maximum level, we use external assets, we use excessive number of DOM elements to display the big mega-menu, as well as other scripts and styles, which are demo-specific. Things like these significantly reduce the possible maximum score a page can get.

Yes, I’m looking at the mobile version. There is also a low score on http://themes.whiteboxstud.io/scape/main/contact-colorful/, with almost nothing there (a few sentences and elements). Where can I find a demo that shows me the real speed you’re promoting (95%)? Btw., desktop version also does not reach the declared 95%.

As I said, in the main demo the page content is just one of the things that may influence score. Page content itself may even not be as important as image optimization, additional custom assets and hundreds of items still hiding in the page header on that page. You can try http://themes.whiteboxstud.io/scape/coming-soon-one/ if you want a truly “empty” page, where desktop score reaches even above 95%, even with external typekit font being used.

Additionally, please bear in mind that Google’s pagespeed requirements are often hard or impossible to fulfill for a WP theme, especially given the restrictions and limitations that ThemeForest enforces, so in many aspects there often be some trade-offs.

We will definitely use this as a reference point. I must note that Scape is a general multipurpose theme, while examples you mentioned would be more suitable for a specialized portfolio theme. However, it makes a great source of inspiration for us as well for future updates.

Yes, you can totally change the main accent color, as well as colors for many shortcodes individually. Take a look at other demos – they all contain elements of different colors and different main accent colors, meaning that the color settings are very flexible.

This theme includes all demo content, images, videos, backgrounds right? I’ve purchased themes where they ended up being all grey squares.

Majority of images are included in demo content. However, there are images that are licensed only for preview purposes or custom-made pictures. Those will be blurred after import.
