I have few presale questions:
1. Since you are using the Youzer plugin, will we have the option to change the header of the profile page as well? Since Youzer is offering it, will we have the option in the back office as well or will it cause issues?
2. Is there any option that users can block other users from sending messages or viewing the profiles?
3. Are the widgets in the profile page customization by the admin? Can i set the exact fields of each widget?
4. Can Reviews be deleted by the user that got reviewed? Also can we set the reviews to be approved by the user before being visible in my profile?
5. Is the favorite working as “my favorite profiles”?
6. Can the registration form be in steps? and can we set a profile to be private (not visible) until admin approves it? In order for a user to be verified they need to fill all required fields from their profile – so can we have conditional login or validations before a profile is send for approval?
7. The PSD version of the site has different profile view, will we be able to use the PSD’s version of header?
8. Last question, is the bbpress required for everything to work correctly? or will it cause issues if removed?

Hi,
1. All options provided by Youzer work with the theme. The theme doesn’t modify Youzer functionality, it just adds styling for its elements to match the overall design of the theme.
2. There is an option to make the profile private, visible only for friends. Other options can be implemented only with help of the third-party plugins.
3. Admin controls visibility, display order and location of the widgets. Users can only fill them with their own information.
4. Only admin can edit or delete reviews. No, they can’t be approved by the user, they are visible on the profile right after they are published.
5. “Favorites” subtab includes publications liked by the user.
6. No, registration can’t be in steps and accounts can’t be private before admin approves it. There are two registration forms. The first one, shown on the Olympus home page, it is a native Olympus element, it is not customizable and all its fields are required. The Youzer registration page can be extended or shortened by adding/deleting profile fields in the WP-admin dashboard. They can be set as optional or required.
7. PSD’s of this theme are sold separately. They can’t be used in the Olympus WP version. The latter has been pretty much modified to match WordPress available capabilities, so it is not identical with the original PSD and HTML versions.
8. bbPress is used only for forums. If you don’t need forums on your website, you can disable bbPress.

Also i registered as a user but when i try to upload my avatar it gives me “An error occurred. Please try again later.”. If i try to upload with admin in frond end its working fine but not with a normal user. Why is that?

Yes, buddypress is required for Youzer.
But bbPress is a plugin for forums. If you don’t need forums on your site, you can disable it.

Hey great theme! I’m having a lot of fun with all the options on this one. it looks and feels great. I did run into a buddypress issue. this is the second time the page has become widescreen and it’s not supposed to be. I wrote a support ticket and provided you with user and pass for both cpanel and wordpress. Hopefully we can get this looking good again. great theme! much needed!!

I replied back. I updated the theme and that didn’t do anything. all the buddypress pages are still stretched.
I did fix it temporarily and wanted to document this for anyone else with the same issue Please lets fix this though-
Now I did do the folowing which I’m not that happy with. Deleting and changing folder names is not usually a good fix, but it worked in this instance.
I Went into public_html/wp-content/themes/olympus/css changed name of youzer-new folder to _youzer-new
Buddypress pages now load fine. Why do you think that is? I did a manual update so the entire olympus folder was overwritten via ftp

Renaming the file is absolutely wrong. It simply cancels alll the Olympus stylesheet. I hope no one will do that.
We have found the reason for the problem and have corrected it on your website. The fix will be also included in the next update.

Does Olympus have the support of Buddypress and Polylang? That the url slug of the language also works? Example domain.com/en/groups Usually Polylang doesn’t work that way.

The theme itself supports Polylang. It also supports BuddyPress. But we can’t be so sure about BuddyPress and Youzer, that provide social netwoking functionality in the theme. You should better ask this question the authors of BuddyPress and Youzer.

This is a WordPress theme. It can’t be used as a part of another theme. If you are interested in social networking functionality, they are provided by the BuddyPress and Youzer plugins. They are independent plugins, and can be used in other WordPress themes as well.

Is the theme compatible with Buddypress 5.0, I see only Buddypress 4.4 is inside the theme download

I was curious of there could be added a review system for the blogs to this theme.
Basically having the option to write blogs in which we can review items by giving a score rating based on stars, numbers or points with 5 topics to score on which then counts a average as the final review score.
I am looking for that in the theme as it would be a big help for the social media hub that I am making.

1. This is a WordPress theme that provides social networking functionality by means of such plugins as Youzer, BuddyPress, and bbPress.
2. There is no such function in the theme.
3. No, it can’t be made like Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. They are not the same.
4. Functionality that is not present in the theme by default can be added with help of additional WP plugins if such exist.
We don’t recommend you purchase this theme if you don’t understand the difference between WordPress themes and popular social networks like Facebook etc.

If we got your questions right, there is no video sharing function in Olympus. It is not the same as facebook, Twitter or instagram. It is just a theme for WordPress with all pros and cons related this CMS.

The Olympus theme is a work of art, but I did some pingdon and gmetrix tests and the theme is very slow.
Do you plan on making a version using gutenberg blocks instead of WP Bakery?
In addition to being the future where wordpress is moving to, it will make your theme much faster.

At the moment we plan to integrate with Elementor builder. We will consider your suggestion about using Gutenberg blocks for the future.
As for the speed, the thing is that the theme is bound with many plugins and their assets are pretty heavy. Unfortunately, we can’t change it anyhow.

Hello, after installing the update something has broken. Everything related to Youzer doesn’t show up. The pop over on messages, notifications and friend requests also doesn’t work. I tried to contact the support but the ticket page is forever loading.
