we have bought last year your directorist plugin for domain UPPESIVE.com
we have done a upgrade of my website yesterday of directory plugin but after that i have got an error on listing view.. So I have done a restore from a backup made last week and the result now is that all website has this fatal error..

I have contacted already the server admin, but they say the issue is caused from the plugin, If i incactive that from database it works againg but i loose all data..

Yes, it will work normally like a listing site but you will have to purchase “extensions” for premium features like claim listing, paid listings, listing with map, bookings etc.

I already have the WordPress version but I want to be able to put Schema markups in every page of the site. We find it difficult achieving this on the WordPress version, thus need serious customization. That’s why we need the template. Can you please give us a test version of the HTML template so that we can see how to achieve this? Or what’s your advice for us on this?

I’m just curious why your template is essentially more complicated than the demo. I bought your template based on the variables I found in your demo template, because I have to incorporate it into another system (not wordpress). But you delivered 2000% more variables via plugins/scss/js/etc.
It’s a great looking template but you should update your demo. Now, while I work in your template into my system, I have no comparison to go against when something isn’t loading correctly. The demo is extremely helpful for determining what’s going wrong. Also, you designed this in Dreamweaver, no? It opens like a bomb went off in the code on Atom.
I wanted to add that adding all that functionality is great but the consistency of demo to downloaded product is why I bought this and that didn’t happen. If I order silver, I want silver, not platinum 
On your sales page: “ThemeForest Files Included HTML Files, CSS Files, JS Files” Nothing in there either about scss.
You don’t have to respond. I’ll just work around it. I see what you did with the demo (condensed plugin scripts and css) but I still prefer consistency when shopping on themeforest. The site itself is flawless, but the demo doesn’t match it and that’s all I want to convey to anyone reading this.
Hi, We are not sure what’s the problem with variables. Yes we minifyed the demo assets for performance issue. You can do exactly the same with your downloaded version too. You can fully ignore the scss files, if you wish to work with only css files. Please knock us if you face any issue, we will try our best. Thanks

Hello, I’m Dino, we bought your Direo theme on but we have small issues with pricing planes.. seams that every user can have more than one basic plan and insert as many listings he wants.

Hi Dino, It is not an issue as we did it intentionally. You have the options to limit the features of the free plan. As you requested, we have decided to add that feature in upcoming updates.
If you use “Display from Map API” from “Location Source for Search Field” dropdown which is under Directory Settings >> Search Settings, then you don’t have to insert manually.

If I’m a customer who have a free plan, and this free plan allow only one listing.. why every time I click on “Add Listing” I have to choose again the same free plan and create an other listing?? I have the 6.1.0 version of your plugn but still same issue.. you subscribe for a free plan. that should not ask for payment request but let say “okay”,, the user click on zero payment and process the order.. after this I can see when I click on plans that the zero plan has a badge with “Active” label in green.. looks it works! in fact now I can see “zero normal listing” and zero featured listing but on the same window instead to have something that push user to buy the next level plan, it give me the chance to insert a new listing! again! An it works! any user can just go forward and add as many listings he wants.. at the same time, after add the new listing I can not find the user connected with the free plan anymore.. I mean it’s exactly as before the plugin update.. I think something still have to be fixed.. please let me know if I’m doing some mystake but seams as it is..
Last but not least, when I want to recover a password the system doesn’t send anything.. no new passwords, no mail.. nothing. please check it. Thank you

Regarding the another query, we did that intentionally after an extensive research on that. An user can purchase multiple plans. That way, user can submit a listing easily under any plan he/she wants. Hope you understand. But, we have decided to have both the features and leave it the users to decide which way he/she would like to use.

Hello, can you please tell me what version is the last one.. because at the moment after the last update this is the situation.. seams you don’t just make a simple test.. if I’m a user, i register the new account OK, i login OK, I create a new listing OK and looks like I can not create any other,, but. lf I simply click on the second plan, the system instead to bring me to the checkout page to pay, leave me to create anyway the second listing. Only after i see the checkout page where I need to pay.. Okay for my point of view the problem is still the same, first i should pay then I should have the rights to create new listings.. but let says that could be fine even as it is now.. So, i have the free plan (setting 1 listing, zero feautured listings) and I have in my account already the first free listing ok? now, I click on paid plan, create anyway a new listing and go on checkout page.. fine.. i select bank tranfer payment and confirm it.. that’s it! I can see the second listing!! And if I click on the same plane I can add an other listing.. and an other and an other!! but I still have to pay the bank transfer!! On my account infact now i can see my plan as “Superior” (paid one) instead the free plan.
I think the system should recognize when a customer have a plan, and don’t let put the same user to an other plan as soon the payment has been received! In case of credit card or paypal the payment must to be successful, and in case of offline payment the admin should approve the payment before to give a new “plan status” to the user.. look, I’m tried more than one theme. Your could be really good, just need to be fixed these things.. try to and your product can be really competitive.

If I click on “orders” I can see the order with status “Superior not activated” and this could be even ok, (still no reason because the user with this status “not activated” could still create new listings.. but ok..) where I can activate the status and see on the account frontend my plan?? thank you

We have plan to add option to let user charge first and then submit their listing.
System only recognize user’s published listings with a plan. For example, You have a plan containing 1 regular and zero featured listing. And user Mr.X submits a listing with this plan where he uses bank transfer as payment gateway. The submitted listing you received with pending status. Mr.X is now going to submit another listing with the same plan and the system checks is the total number of published listing exceed the allowances of the plan? Here the previously submitted listing is not published yet, so let system allows user to submit another. As an admin, if you complete the payment (https://prnt.sc/pp471v) and publish his listing, system will not then allows user to submit listing with this plan.
Once you turn the order status to completed the plan will appears in frontend dashboard of Mr. X.
Okay, we will try it. In case of other issues I will ask you again. I have tested other 5 listing themes and your seams the only one with more options and less complications, I think you are on the right way, just listen your customer and make all changment they ask to obtain a very good product. thank you

Hello there, I’m sorry to inform there is a new small issue, but maybe is my mystake.. after updated the last version, new users can not submit any kind of listing. can you help us with? we follow those steps: 1) we have set up the basic plan with one free listing and zero featured listings.
2) we have tested a new registration, new user and is fine
3) the new user is logged in, on “my account”>packages says “no package found”.
4) when i click on ADD LISTING button, or SUBMIT LISTING I’m redirect on the “add listing page” but in this case I see the pricing plans page. On this page i can see our 3 plans and on the free plan I can see “Allready Used!” on bottom..
I can not click on it, but I can not add my first free listing even!
5) Even if i see this message on price plan, if i click on packages tab on my account, the result is always “no package found”.
6) the main problem is that even I tried to modify the “add listing page” with other shortcodes, the result is always the same. I can not add any kind of free listing..
This is really stressful. Can you help us? I don’t think we have done any mystake with setting the plan, but seams something is wrong.
7) then, If click to change the plan on paid plan, then same story as before, I can add any listing befor go on the checkout page.. you said that with new update this should before to insert the new listing but at the moment is still after..
So, in total, new users can not insert any free listing even if the basic plan is free for the first listing, they can insert a new listing on the paid plans instead to pay before, and in any case the account is not connected with the plan in the “my account” page.

i double check this thing.. i think is a problem with the zero price plan.. when i change the plan from free to paid, the system let me insert the new listing, but if I go back to free plan, the system say “already used” and nothing happen when I click on it..

Hi, We have added three new features following your suggestions which are, now its possible to skip plan page for paid users (to enable it, go to Directory Settings >> Extensions Settings >> Pricing Plans), listing will be counted even if its in pending status and user won’t be able to have more than one free plan (it will be disabled and show “Already Used!” text). The last one has an issue that we didn’t find, but you faced it. A small condition is missing which results the issue you are facing. We have already fixed it. You may contact us for the fixed version or wait for the official update release on Saturday/Sunday.
Regarding the Elementor, its not possible now. But we have a plan to make it Elementor compatible.
Regarding Inserting a listing before paying, it used to go to in pending status if payment failed. After receiving an user request, we made some changes which created the issue. We will fix it and release an update. For the time being, please make the default status of a new listing “Pending” using ‘New Listing’s Default Status’ dropdown.
WooCommerce Pricing Plans and Pricing Plans do the same job.
okay, I want to trust you one more time.. I will go back to the price plans without woocommerce because it seams more complicated than usual one..
to my personal point of view is that the account is not connected with the plan.. in case I select a free plan with one listing, (please try it) in case I remove the listing, the system should recognize it and let me insert a new listing for free.. instead when the write “already used” there are not chance to change it! that’s it.. i remove cache few times, but it’s still the same.. “already used”.
Hi, The account is connected with the plan, but we kept that to function that way intentionally. Some may want to restrict it literally in 1 listing with free plan, to avoid misusing of it, ignoring whether user remove it or not. However, we have decided to implement your idea. It will be added in the next release. If we receive request of the current feature from users, we will add it as option to let the admin decide how he/show would like to have it.

Please follow these steps below to update the theme.
Step 1 – Go to https://themeforest.net/downloads and Download the latest version of Direo
Step 2 – Log in to your WordPress Installation
Step 3 – Navigate to Appearance > Themes
Step 4 – Deactivate Direo theme by activating any other theme
Step 5 – Hover Direo theme with mouse and click Theme Details
Step 6 – Click on the Delete button
Step 7 – Click on Add New
Step 8 – Click on Upload Theme
Step 9 – Click on Choose File, select “direo.zip” and click Install Now
Step 10 – When the upload is finished, Click on Activate
After updating the theme, you will see a notice like this screenshot (at the top of the screen) https://bit.ly/33mfPqh if there are any updates available for Direo Core and Direo Extension plugins. This two plugins are exceptional as they were only developed for the theme and comes with the theme. Click on “Begin updating plugins” to update the plugins.

There are two ways to update a themeforest theme which are manually that we shared with you in our previous post and second one is using “Envato Market” plugin automatically. How you used to update in the past?

By the way, your content will not be lost in manual update because the theme doesn’t store any data.
I have got new theme now. I have direo extension 1.2.7 and direo core 1.4.8. Well. when I click on directory listing I still have the same error.. get re-direct on frontend “404 page”.. i start to be tired of this.
Neither we found this issue on our end nor we heard about it from other users. This usually happens if your .htaccess file got deleted or something went wrong with the rewrite rules. To fix the issue, go to Settings » Permalinks, and simply click on Save Changes button. This will update your permalinks settings and flush rewrite rules. In most cases this solution fixes the WordPress 404 error.
done. nothing changed.. if I create a new administrator then we can get to the listing page.. with my account as first administrator not. no idea why. i can see all other pages, locations, categories, plans, but not listing.. on that, i get to the 404 page, not found..
i have got it.. for some reason when I click on listings, the link below show me this url: /wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=at_biz_dir but it’s missing a part of the url.. must to add “&listing” on the final url.. if I add this part then it works.. any idea why?

I’m starting to think its best to stay away from this theme. It’s a complete waste of money. For such a light theme I can’t seem to understand how they cannot get it to function properly. Every update that is released, seems to break something that was working fine previously. If you are looking for a busines directory all in one theme, this is NOT it.
For starters: Support is horrible – never get responses when you report bugs. Also: Their partner plugin Directorist does not work with their own theme that it is bundled in. Also: They added in search by radius – but it doesn’t actually work. Also: the styling gets ruined on updates by the developer.
This is really, really bad. like REALLY disappointing. changing settings has literally no affect. I’m shocked at how bad both the theme & the support are. If you’re looking for a directory plugin that WORKS – go with web directory 2.0 – it’s already functioning correctly with google maps and radius search.
Pretty much any free theme with that plugin would be better than Direo theme with directorist.
Fix your issues man! don’t release updates unless its been tested!
Hi, There could be few features that might not work properly with the plugin because of several reasons. For an example, we customized several features of the plugin in the theme to present differently on the theme matching the design which might result the features settings not work properly. We are continuously releasing updates fixing issues and we have already started extensive test. Lack of testing is the reason of these small issues. We are going to be very careful about it in future.
We admit that our support is bit slow sometimes which going to be fix very soon extending team members. Search by radius feature is working perfectly on our end, tested by 3 developers. It won’t not work for a listing which address is not selected from the map dropdown at the time of adding listing as radius search is depended on map API.
Its not clear why you have promoted a plugin complaining about our theme and support. Our free plugin Directorist hasn’t any issue. It works with any free/premium themes that we ensured testing dozens of themes and function perfectly with Google Maps and Radius search.

Yes I am sure your directorist plugin works fine on other themes free and premium. But We are paying for your theme which claims to be a directory..I think it’s fair to say that your Direo theme partnered with your Directorist plugin don’t seem to be communicating properly.
The frustrating thing is that you are charging $ for the theme, and it claims to be a directory…but the radius don’t work?
I would be more than happy to show your testing team exactly how the radius does not work, as well as the radius not even appearing when you switch it to on in filters.
We have found a conflict in Radius search with the rating filter which is going to be fixed in the next update as soon as possible. Thank you very much for letting us know about it.
1.5.1 Issue. -> as usual it seems each time this theme updates, it fixes one thing and breaks another. now the styling of the search-home is broken. The box sizings do not look right. the search button is not inline with the search fields and looks messed up on mobile. Pricing plans css is also ruined and is small and floating to the left. guys comon…this theme is almost worth a 1 star right now.

Its probably true that the theme doesn’t deserve a good rating with the issues. We were spending most of the time adding new features which was the reason of the issues. We have now decided to spend most of the time making the themes and plugins perfect than adding new something and providing better support to the users. Again really sorry for the bad experiences.
That’s very reassuring news. I hope that it is in-fact true. I am actually just hoping for a day when the theme can be updated enough that I can then fix the issues myself and move forward. Hopefully in a few more updates things will be working to a level where I can actually put the website on a live environment and be proud of it

Hi Team. I’ve decided to put all this in one post because the compatibility issues with Direo & its partner plugin Directorist is just getting too much at this point. As a stand-alone product Directorist is a great free directory plugin. Unfortunately the theme that actually cost money (direo) which is said to be the perfect theme to use your plugin with is having consistent issues with the plugin. Given that they are both made by the same developer I’m hoping I can illustrate these issues here in an attempt to get some attention to it.
Please note – I am using the most up-to-date versions of both direo, direo-core direo-extensions as well as directorist.
Issue 1: The modal login form provided with the Direo theme no longer works since the latest up date -> when you click login it just does nothing, OR it redirects to a login page which holds the shortcode [directorist_login] – These should be linked up and partnered
Issue 2: The “List Your Business” button that comes with Direo/Directorist sends the user directly to the page that has [directorist_add_listing] shortcode -> where as before this update it would link the user to wherever the [pricing_plans] was -> which was then linked to add listing, why did you change this???
Issue 3: The Direo theme doesn’t seem to be updating along side it’s partner plugin? For example if I use Directorist plugin with ANY other theme besides Direo, it’s a matter of building a home page and using the short code [directorist_search] – which shows the filters option, as well as the newly added location/maps api search option. The Direo “Search-Home” template however doesn’t seem to be reading this. Which leads to any changes made in directorist settings simply being ignored by the search form on ‘Search-Home’ page template.
Issue 4: I’ve raised this issue about 3 times over the last month, but your team seems to be more concerned with releasing styling updates as opposed to fixing serious bugs. I’ll mention it again here. When a user visits their profile using the sliding box on Direo Theme. When they click my profile it will pop up a box asking if they want to delete their listing! This is a such a bad error. I mean so many users are going to make a mistake and click delete because this pop up box comes up.
It’s a real shame because it’s a nice neat theme. I can’t help but feel there is so much work going into directorist plugin but the theme which customers are actually paying for falls behind.
I appreciate all the work you guys do on the free plugin, I purchase all of your stuff but the quality is really dropping on the Direo & Directorist theme relationship I really hope you guys can get these core problems fixed.

1. Its actually not an issue! We have added a new options to add links for login and registration under Appearance >> Customize >> Header Options. If you use this feature, the buttons will redirect instead of popping up. So, you probably added the link of the page where this shortcake exists [directorist_login]. 2. We didn’t change the feature. If the Pricing Plan/Monetization is disabled, it sends the user directly to the page that has [directorist_add_listing] shortcode. Please make sure that the Monetization and Pricing Plan is enabled. Pricing Plan on/off option can be found under Directory Settings >> Extension Settings >> Extensions General and Monetization is under Directory Settings >> Monetization.
3. Yes, it sometimes take time to be updated along side the Directorist for various reasons. But, its not going to be happened in future.
4. We haven’t found the issue in our testing and no user has informed us about it except you, so probably there is something in your website that conflicts. Please share the URL of the website.
In response to your answers.
1. Yes – I will admit this was fixed in the latest update – but there was an issue it was just fixed in an update before you actually responded to my comment.
2. Obviously monetization and pricing plans are enabled – yet the button will still go to add-listing shortcode, and not pricing plans shortcode. I’ve been dealing with this plugin for almost 6 months now so I have ensured that this is the case.
3.Thank you, but I hope you understand that you are selling a theme for real money that claims to be a directory. it needs to be the first thing that is updated when directorist is updated.

Hi Team. I just updated Version: 1.5.0 of Direo & although It’s nice to see that the logo is bigger and the menu bar has been changed; unfortunately the login modal that is on the top right hand side no longer works at all. It doesn’t log you in, it just brings you a seperate page with the login short code.! Please fix it has worked fine in previous versions. It also goes without saying that the register modal also does not work as intended.

Issues with Modal Login. 1. When signing using the modal login on the menu navigation bar, since the latest update when it logs in it is showing html in the modal as it is logging in, which means it hasn’t been coded properly. 2. If you are on the login page where the shortcode [directorist_user_login] is, and you decide to use the modal login – it will keep telling you fields are required even though they are entered. this theme should be compatible with directorist theme.
