Can you check if the “The Landscaper Toolkit” plugin is activated under the plugins tab? If not you can install and activate this plugin via Appearance -> Install Plugins.
Please let me know if that fixed the issue after installing and activating the plugin.
the landscaper toolkit was activated but needed update also…...once i updated that it is working fine now thank you!

By default there is no schema data added to the theme or any settings for this. If you want to change the schema data you need to install a plugin for that. This plugin support the “Organization” type.

The plugin is included within the latest theme version. To update this plugin please follow these steps:
1. Go to Ess. Grid -> Import/Export
2. Click the Export panel and then the green export button
3. Go to the plugins tab and deactivate & delete the plugin
4. Go to Appearance -> Install Plugins
5. Install and activate the plugin
6. Go to Ess. Grid -> Import/Export
7. Import the file you’ve just exported
8. Plugin is updated

I have 2 questions:
1)
I’m using the wide header layout. When I mouse over menu items that have a submenu the caret appears however when I’m not hovering over it, the caret icon isn’t there. Is there a way to make the caret icon appear by default so the user knows there are submenu items?
2)
Right now I’m using custom links and a url of # for some parent menu items. Is there a way to disable those parent menu items since they’re not really clickable links?

Hi, the .post-item .title is a H5, it would be very useful to be able to do it change to H2 return the same size, can you change it? Where can I go to change it ?! Thanks for the attention

The title is set in a H5 heading for SEO reason because the page title will always be H1 and the widgets titles H2. I don’t know exactly why you want to change these titles from H5 to H2 but if it is only for the size of the title I recommend to add some custom CSS instead to Appearance -> Customize -> Additional CSS:
.post-item .title { font-size: 22px; }
If you want to change the title for other reasons you have to edit the widget template file which can be found inside the theme folder: /inc/widgets/widget-featured-page.php on line 88
Thanks for the reply; I changed from h5 to h2 in line 88 as your suggestion, I modified the widget-featured-page.php file and cleaned the cache but in the site I always see h5 class = “title”, why? I forgot something? Thanks for the info.
If you’re running theme version 1.7 + and have installed the “The Landscaper Toolkit” plugin you might need to change it within this plugin. Within the “the-landscaper-toolkit” plugin folder navigate to includes/widgets/files/ and make the same changes to the widget-featured-page.php file on line 88.
If everything goes well your changes should be visible at this point.

You can change the mobile background color for the submenu links via Appearance -> Customize -> Theme Options -> Navigation -> Mobile submenu background color and Mobile submenu link color.

The logo has a missing graphic and just displays words. I tried to remove the logo and replace, but it’s the same. How can I fix this? Also, are you able to put a button, like call now, in the primary menu?

Can you try to add a random image from the media library as logo image, then click the “delete” button under the image slot and then press the “default” button. That should fix the issue.
Unfortunately adding a button to the default menu is not possible. Only if you use some custom CSS you could add the phone number as regular menu item link and then style it to a button.
If you want to add a button to the header I recommend to use the “Header Overlay” layout which has been added in the latest theme version.

I see that in response to a customer’s question, you suggested the free Crelly Slider. Is this compatible with your theme (using the shortcode)?
And, although I have not yet found anything in the theme documentation, is there a recommended size for the slider images for your theme? I want to start cropping my photos to be compatible.

Yes the Crelly Slider plugin is fully compatible with the theme. If you’re familiar with this plugin I definitely recommend it else I would go for Smart Slider 3.
The recommended size for the slider images is 1920×730 pixels (width & height). You can find the slider section in the theme documentation, please see this link.

Ah yes, I see the size now. I had glanced at the documentation but hadn’t read it closely enough. I just took a quick look at the Smart Slider 3 site, and it looks pretty awesome. Do you prefer that over Crelly? And if this is not sufficient for my needs, what is your opinion about the Slider Revolution vs. Layer Slider. Do you have a personal preference?
It depends. The Crelly Slider plugin require a basic knowledge of CSS to style the headings and texts on the image slides. If you’re familiar with that I still recommend the Crelly Slider. If you prefer to not use any CSS I would go for Smart Slider 3.
The last two sliders you mentioned are also a good choice if you want to create advanced image slides with all kinds of transitions and animations, but it will not be my first choice simply because those plugins are heavier and contain too many options in my opinion.
Thanks for the reply. I don’t like using CSS unless I absolutely have to, so I’ll check out the Smart Slider 3 plugin if your built-in slider is not sufficient for my needs.

Our built-in slider is does not contain any options for layers or rich animations to keep it very lightweight and fast. If you only want to add an image and a heading with button I recommend to use it.
If you don’t want to use CSS but want animated slides then I would suggest the Smart Slider 3 plugin.
