You told about Radius search using google unrestricted API key for reverse geo coding. Here maps also has similar features. Instead of google API can I use Here map API? I want to avoid using google map altogether due to it’s high cost.
No, for geocoding we only have option for Google Maps API ( you get 200$ free credit monthly for use which is pretty good amount https://cloud.google.com/maps-platform/pricing/sheet )
If I use Here map will it not show nearby places? Alternatively can I use geo coding api from google and map api from here or maybe bing or MapBox or openstreet?
I noted that you’re using Mapbox on demo site and it’s actually trying to find nearby places when I’m searching using my current location
Searching by location geocode your postion/address to latitude and longitude, and listings in set radius from that location are returned. For that you need Google Maps API. For displaying the map, you can use any of the map providers available. Those are 2 separate things
I understand. Each geo coding call is 0.005 $ so technically in a month we can have 40000 calls free. Later this will be some limitation but not initially. Do you have plans to use any other geo coding in future?

it’s server side geocoding, this key is not public anywhere on your site. From my understanding HERE maps is also paid service after some usage level
Google map geo coding after 40000 a month is 5$ per additional 1000 calls. Here map is 250000 per month and 1$ per additional 1000 calls. So here map comes much cheaper than google maps. Another popular map you don’t have yet is apple maps

Hello – apologies for possibly repeating a question, I did originally email you via support but I have a feeling you may have responded when my email wasn’t working correctly and so I haven’t seen a reply.
I shall ask again here if you don’t mind (plus another one)
1. I need to assign parks to states/counties/areas and for them to only show up when that state or county is chosen, for example, the visitor selects ‘California’ (as the state) and the next drop down only displays parks in California, not parks from a different state. Is this possible with the Listeo theme or would I need to get it modified using something like the WP Facets plugin?
2. I need to add a property feed from an affiliate partner using an XML feed for the initial import and then continue to sync up using their API (to include keeping availability synced via iCal). I am thinking to use WP All Import Pro – can you see any issue with this and the Listeo theme?
If 1 & 2 can be done I will renew support.

ad1. we don’t have such functionality at this moment (probably someday will do), and It probably wouldn’t work with WP Facet as our search form is rather heavily customized, so you’d have to hire a developer to help you with that.
ad2. That’s something that sounds like you’d need to work with a developer to figure out. We don’t provide such services, and for the record, it’s not what support renewal is

We want to make map to work as a filter to filter listings that fit only in the map boundaries, but we have faced some difficulties:
1. After ajax-search we have listing coordinates in Listeo-core, how they are transferred to leaflet-listeo to be shown on the map (this data also includes the listing metadata)? At the end we receive information in html format with all listing details to be show in the search results. But we cannot link these event (how data is sent to leaflet-listeo, how it’s being transformed there).
2. We can’t understand how and where in leaflet-listeo happens transformation of incoming data about listings to draw icons and little listing cards on the map. Could you please explain us how it works?

each listing on the list has data attributes with latitude, longitude and marker informations, and that’s parsed by the listeo.leaflet.js and shown on map.
Can you please tell us: 1) what part of listeo.leaflet.js is responsible for parsing data attributes and 2) how the map itself creates these beautiful listing cards on the map?

I did check it 3 hours ago and indeed it was super quick on firefox and safary but on chrome didn’t even opened. I didn’t have time then to investigate, but I did try now and I don’t see any issue on the chrome. Have you found out what the problem was?
No, I am still investigating and trying to know the root cause. maybe google map API ? Its a vps litespeed web server from digital ocean. I hope the server type is not main issue.
Now it’s slow again. But I have no idea what could cause it and why it just on chrome

Are there any plans to add a ‘paid claim’ rather than just a form? I need to option for user to claim their listing and either keep it free or pay to enhance it like featured show contact info etc…
It is somewhere on TODO list. For now you could assign the listing to the user, and set it as expired, that way they will have to “renew” it in their dashboard for which they would need to pay (if you have paid listings enabled)

1. How is the integration of Here maps? I intend to use Here maps. 2. I will include our cab rental service as one of the listed services. Can we manually put a booking on the dashboard? 3. In our case the exact payable amount will be finalized after the service is delivered. Can we put final price only after the service is complete? Can as listing owner we add the final amount from frontend? 4. We intend to use Woocommerce for invoices and payment cart. Can we upload the tax invoices to my booking page where GUESTS can download the invoices if they require? Tax invoices are prepared after the service is delivered because some variable costs are often added at the end of the service. 5. Apart from Listing owners and admin, can any other roles put listings from front end? In our case many small owners are not tech savvy and they want us to upload their listings. 6. Wordpress by default has five user roles namely Administrator, Editor, Author, Contributor and Subscriber. You said you have two roles Owners and Guests. Are these two roles over and above the standard WP user roles? WooCommerce has a role called Customers. Is Customer role also available? If yes, can I use the specific permissions for these roles? 7. When checking a listing I noted that you have a button ‘Get directions’. When I clicked ‘get direction’ button direction on map opened in anew window. This new window and direction is it using my map direction API call? Or is it using the guests own device map? If it uses my API then the number of API calls will be added to my map API account. If it uses guests device then it’s not in my account. I prefer guest to use their client side maps. 8. You have three types of listings namely services, rentals and events. When we add any tourist attraction for example a mountain peak, or a sunset point or a beach, which type of listing will it be?

Based on your questions, I don’t think Listeo would suit for your needs
Your theme is actually good because lots of map options. So point 1 I understand is fine. Because you support Here map. Point 2 I will use a separate dashboard and woocommerce cart. So I will handle this separately. Point 3. I will find a workaround by making all extra payments locally in cash. Point 4. I will use a invoicing plugin. Hopefully it will work. point 5. I will use workaround by doing the listing on behalf of owners using their email to login initially Point 6. Is wordpress and woocommerce related so I understand will have no problem because most likely you added two additional user types who will have dashboard access. Admin will have all dashboard access anyway. Point 7. I tested several times and I got my answer. Point 8. I guess can use a service but without booking which you already replied in my other question.
If you are willing to do the customization required for that than of course Listeo would be a good base for such website

Every update is important It was just some hotfix for 1.3
While checking the demo I noted that when registering as guest I can see the User dashboard and also the add listing button on top right corner. I understand these are for listing owners. Should these buttons be visible for people who are doing searching also? I want to register also the people who will search. Is it possible to ensure that add listing button and user menu buttons are not accessible to people who only use search? I mean can we have two levels of users 1. List owners and 2. Those who search. In fact some themes have multiple types of users like authors, participants, moderators, admin etc.

Hi I want to use a Directory listing and also cab booking services. For this I plan to use a directory listing theme and on add a booking plugin. 1. I am using caledarista booking plugin. How will I know if this plugin will work on this theme? 2. Your theme is great because it seems it allows google, openstreet, mapbox, Bing and here map services. So it’s quite versatile. Please tell when I click demo the location on map, I note that it opens on separate map page on my phone. You won’t fit those 3 inputs in one row on mobile view. You could hide the first input on mobile using CSS
