Rain effect is not working while selecting rain effect option. Let me know how to make work

Did you try importing the demo content and see if the rain effect works on that homepage demo? Maybe there is an issue with the page configuration.
Secondly, are you sure you’re checking the rain effect on the same browser you checked the North theme demo? Since it’s a pretty advanced effect, it may not be supported by some browsers.

Rain effect is not working in the homepage and also we checked in chrome, Mozilla and IE not working in that browsers too. Please help us to solve this.

1) I noticed that the theme was created in 2014 but there has been an update released through this year. How much longer in future do you plan on updating this theme and supporting it?
2) The “Style Switcher” gear button towards the middle left on the demo (http://veented.com/themes/north/home3/) is also included when I purchase the theme or is it just for demo purposes? If it is available as part of the theme can I change it with other content?

1. We actually release a theme update every month and this year was very special (we released over 30 updates since the year has started) as we were pushing to receive the “WP Requirements Compliance” badge stating all our themes are compliant with the very latest, strict quality requirements. You may rest assured we’ll keep updating and supporting the theme for a very long while.
2. Unfortunately, no: the style switcher is not included with the theme.

1. I’m really sorry but that feature is not available out of the box for mobile.
2. The style switcher was created by us and we’re not familiar with any plugins that would offer a similar functionality. However, we’re pretty sure that you can find some.

However, shortcodes could be possible… Would you mind opening a new thread on our Support Center along with your site credentials so I can apply a little customization for you that would enable shortcodes there? If it works out fine for you, we may include it in the next theme update.

Well, this is really strange? No one has reported similar issues. Are you sure you’re following all the instructions in the docs correctly? Are you sure the “North Core” plugin via Appearance / Install Plugins is installed? If yes and you’re still experiencing issues, please open a new ticket via Support Center including your site URL, more details about those issues and your website credentials. I’ll be happy to debug it for you.

Hey, I just bought the theme and everything works great. However, when I set the blog page on the “read” section the full width image on top is not full width anymore.
When I change the settings (not as blog page) then the image(s) on top are full width again.
Now, I would like the full width image on the blog and the blog posts down below. How can I do that? And why is this weird thing happening (I checked the demo page and there you have full width image on the blog page).
Mind helping me out?

Hello, I’m totally in love this theme!! Amazing work! Just had one question. If I set an image as a background it shows up properly on the desktop but it gets chopped off on mobile. Is there any way to have it get adjusted on mobile or it looks ok? thank you in advance.
I have activate the theme 14 with the vimeo backround video cause youtube videos are not showing at my mobile phone but vimeo works. But the sound button to activate or deactivate the sound of the vimeo video cant be find. where do i find this?

I’m sorry but video backgrounds are not fully supported on mobile devices. Please install the Revolution Slider plugin (bundled with the theme) to activate some more advanced background options.

Great theme and support.
I’ve been using North for a few years now, but the last few updates (from 4.4 onwards) have been ‘breaking’ my site. Even with today’s update (4.5.2), certain elements like contact forms or testimonial carousels do not work. I’ve rolled back to 4.3 so my site looks normal again.
Is it just me or is there something wrong with the latest updates?

Are you sure you have updated the North Core plugin to the latest version as well via Appearance / Install Plugins menu along with the theme update? North Core plugin is now crucial for the theme to work properly and the theme shows at least two notices about it during the latest update. Can you please send me on e-mail, what exact issues are you having and possibly your WP credentials so I can debug it for you?

Just tried using update 4.5.4 and the problem still exists. I am using the latest North Core plugin (ver 1.4) but no change i.e. site still broken. Only theme version 4.3 seems to work and I have deactivated North Core (ver 1.4) as that completely breaks my site i.e. can’t log in… “Your Site is Experiencing a Technical Issue” and have to log in via recovery mode.
Error details: An error of type E_COMPILE_ERROR was caused in line 14 of the file /home/web10597/public_html/wp-content/themes/north/framework/functions/blog-functions.php. Error message: Cannot redeclare vntd_blog_post_settings() (previously declared in /home/web10597/public_html/wp-content/plugins/north-core/metaboxes/metaboxes-blog.php:11)
Not sure what’s changed from ver 4.3 onwards as the site itself has not changed i.e. using the same plugins etc.
I have emailed you some screen shots as well.

I tried it again and worked out that the North Core plugin wasn’t active…

I am in version 399.12, just went and updated to latest version and got this error which crashed the whole system – [30-May-2019 17:05:08 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function esc_html() in /home/mudflowr/public_html/wp-content/themes/north/css/style-dynamic.php:42 – how do I install the new update and not have that happen? This is so strange? Each update is checked both by us and the ThemeForest review team – such an error would never pass by unnoticed. Can you please deactivate & remove the theme (non of your changes will be lost) and install the new version from scratch? Don’t forget to install the North Core plugin as well once the new theme version is active.

Like many others here, WPBakery/Visual composer and some other things broke after a WordPress update. I followed your instructions to update the theme, however the latest update available for download (10th May) only includes version 4.5 of Visual Composer.
Your support article (https://veented.ticksy.com/article/7794/) says that I need v5.6 and has a link to download the latest version of the plugin, however after entering my API key it says that my support period has expired and will not let me download.
Can you please provide a link to download the updated plugins so that I can get my site back up and running. Thank you.

The latest WPBakery Page Builder version is 5.7 and was released over 2 months ago. Right after that happened, we updated our theme with that very latest version of the plugin. I just double checked now and confirm that v 5.7 is included with the latest North version. Numbers in the article were outdated.
Just update the theme to the latest version (by doing the manual update process explained in the article or by installing the Envato Market plugin) and you will be able to update all plugins.
The service you mentioned (Veented Plugins) works for purchases with valid support periods, only since it provides instant access to those files. However, we keep updating our theme packages with the latest plugin updates.

After fumbling about with the install through the Envato Market plugin and re-downloading the install package (which did have v5.7 as you suggested) then manually updating some plugins it’s all working again – thank you!
I’ve also just moved to “Turbo” hosting over at a2 hosting, and haven’t achieved the significant speed improvements that I was hoping for. In fact their optimisation plugin and customised version of W3 Total Cache actually make it slower.
Do you have any tips/guides or recommended plugins to improve page load times for this theme?

Totally responsive site.
The website is not the same on all types of screen, in notebook with smaller screen, the information (text and image) are getting very large, losing the areas of respite as on a computer with the largest screen. How to solve this?

We’re truly sorry for the delay but we had a National Holiday! And I’m sorry but the hamburger menu style is only available natively for the iPad/mobile version of the header. To get it on desktop, it would require some tweaks in the theme’s code and it’s more of a customization request.

Background videos are by default disabled on mobile devices because of a poor support (by default, iOS devices play those video in a separate player). We suggest that you use the Revolution Slider plugin that is bundled with our theme – it offers more advanced background video options that should allow you to force videos to be played on mobile devices.

You can use the theme for a multipage website without a problem. The one-pager feature is completely optional. However, a “sidebar” header is not supported, I’m sorry.
