Great theme! I love it, it’s so versatile and clean. But I think you guys forgot to put a skin for the Food demo inside of the Customizer. I’m trying to copy that look and can’t get it exactly right because it’s using the Food demo but the skin from another theme.

Thanks for writing to us. The food demo should be available in the Demo Import but if you have already imported another demo, you will have to start fresh. Also please note that the food demo became available in an update about 15 hours ago so if you downloaded before that time, you will have to download the theme again from ThemeForest Downloads section (or use the Envato Market plugin if you’re using that for one-click updates).
Also ensure you’re on the “Default” skin from Customizer > Skins & Demos.

All the required and optional plugins are included with the theme purchase so you don’t have to worry about it. Apart from the core plugin, there’s WPBakery Page Builder (if you wish to use it), an Instagram Widget plugin, and the Bunyad AMP plugin (if you need AMP functionality).

Photography/Images cannot be the same as demo as these are copyrighted images only licensed for our demo purposes and it wouldn’t make sense to use them on real websites either. In demo import, there are different images that can be redistributed. On your own site, you should use images that are relevant to your content instead of generic demo images. You can find suitable images for your posts for free at https://unsplash.com/

In the social media link settings when you added a facebook / twitter / etc link then you delete, the icons still show on the page top bar and footer.

Hi there! I am loving the theme very much, you guys did an amazing job! Just one thing I have recently struggled with – wherever I use Instagram, either as a sidebar widget or in the footer, it seems as it cannot deal with IGTV preview coming from the feed … so the formatting is then broken (as you can see at the bottom of my page: https://www.dvatrigrepy.cz/ ) is this something that could be fixed at all?

so, after updating the theme via Envato Market Toolkit the website crashed. had to delete the theme completely, 10 hours of modification gone. This is not what I would expect from a pro theme
purchased the theme few years ago – it’s still on version 4.0 in my WP, now I see you already have 7.0 – why are there now updates showing up?

Updates are manual unless the “Envato Market” plugin is installed. And if you’re upgrading from a version that old, there are likely to be many things that have to be upgraded. We’d recommend first updating WordPress to the latest version, then update any active plugins and finally update the theme. As for upgrading from v4.0 to v7.0 in specific, we have instructions here (login to your support account to view) that have to be followed exactly.

Hi, I am a beginner and I have a few questions before buying CheerUp.
1) I like the demo « fashion » I don’t know if I can customize the homepage like that : under the 3 images (under the slider) I would like to add the block « most popular » with the 4 images like in the themes « travel », « Rovella », « fitness », « beauty »… Is it possible ? I don’t see this composition in any of the demos.
2) What is the correct process ? First I install the parent theme ? And then I have to install the « fashion » demo ? After I change the elements I want to customize and I add the widgets and plugins ? And finally I install the child theme (if I need it) ?
3) Is the child theme included in the CheerUp package ? I want to add plugins like « Contact form 7 », « Yoast SEO » … and differents widgets. Do I need a child theme ?

Thanks for writing to us. To answer your queries:
1. Yes, it’s possible. the 3 images under the slider is what we call the “CTA (Call to Action) Widgets” and it’s possible to enable “Most Popular” as well to show them both.
2. You just have to install the CheerUp theme, install the companion plugins when prompted, and import a “demo” (like Fashion – usually with Settings Only but some prefer whole sample content too). And yes, then you can install a child theme if you need it.
3. A sample child theme is included in the package, yes. But it’s only recommended if you intend to make any code customizations like making some changes in functions.php etc. Otherwise it’s not needed. The plugins you mention also work perfectly fine with CheerUp and we recommend those two as well.
