The CV is added into the theme with corporate-resume-shift.pdf file uploaded to wp-content/uploads/2018/08 directory on FTP: http://prntscr.com/thihzx. You can replace this pdf file with your custom one.

The error means that the import is blocked on the server.
Please download demo.zip using the following link http://demofiles.themerex.net/shift-cv/demo.zip. Then unzip the archive into the demo folder and upload it to wp-content/themes/shift-cv directory on FTP so that the files path is wp-content/themes/shift-cv/demo/default…
Then go to Appearance- Install Dummy Data and try again – it should work. Also please note that the Dummy data installation depends on your server settings. Please contact your hosting provider to make sure that your PHP configuration limits are as follows:

Is there an option in the theme for users to generate a PDF which then we can link tot the print button? Because natively the print button otherwise just prints out a scrambled version of the page – similar to hitting ctrl+p. I am trying to generate a demo pdf like version of my resume. If there is a setting to do so, I am unable to figure that out after countless hours. Thank you

The print button just leads to the pdf file uploaded to the directory on FTP (wp-content/uploads/2018/08/corporate-resume-shift.pdf). Unfortunately, there is no option in the theme for users to generate a PDF, you can just link the button in Elementor http://prntscr.com/qtxivy

Such as maybe providing a print friendly CSS / stylesheet that we can add so that print would print the profile and resume section like it appears on the website? Unfortunately, the theme was not tested with any print plugins but you may try using some plugin with the theme. In case some additional stylesheets are needed for its full compliance with the theme, our Customization studio can create them for you.

The issue is server settings related. You can manually install it by downloading the demo.zip archive from our server http://demofiles.themerex.net/shift-cv/demo.zip. Extract the archive to demo/ folder and upload this demo/ folder to wp-content/themes/shift-cv directory. According to the Envato Elements policy, items downloaded on Elements are not supported.
