I’m trying to set up an [Kappa] Aside Posts widget for recent reviews using the Game Review as the category. However its not showing any posts tagged with this category.
Any help would be appreciated.

for some reason my widgets have gotten pushed all the way to the bottom of my website you can see at www.nuclearcoffee.org any idea on how i can resolve that?
i want to note that is doesn’t always do this. it’s here and there so you may go look and it looks fine. Im just looking for thoughts or ideas.

OR redownload the theme from your download page and override it to the old version at wp-content/themes/ folder.

Been using the Kappa theme for a while now. A recent update in either WP and/or Redux Lite means I can no longer add additional reviews scores. For example I may want a score for graphics, a score for sound and a score for gameplay. When I click the add button, nothing happens i.e. no new score line is added to the post.
Any idea what I can do, to fix this?

I’ve been using your Kappa Wordpress theme for a good few years now and it’s great. However, I’ve just gone to add a new post and noticed that none of the features are working.
The page title bar is missing, I can’t click on any of the tabs and my YOAST SEO is no longer working.
Any idea what might have gone wrong and how I can fix it?

You will receive an update notification from Themeforest soon, after updating the theme, navigate to Appearance > Install Plugins and update the “Vafpress Post Formats UI” plugin, the issue will be fixed.

Thanks so much for your help. I have two problems:
1) As far as I can see there is no option to update Vafpress Post Formats UI. Earlier today, I updated all of my plugins and I still had the same issue with creating and editing new posts.
2) In deactivating all of my plugins to test which one was causing the problem, the layout of my theme and the colours have now changed. I remember having to input certain html to achieve the look and colours I wanted, but now I have no idea how to get back to that.

Did you receive the update notification? now you can update the theme to version 1.1.6.1, after updating the theme, you will be able to update the Vafpress Post Formats UI plugin with just one click at Appearance > Install Plugins page as mentioned.

I did indeed. I’ve update Vafpress and that seems to have fixed the issue with creating posts, but the entire layout of my site has now changed.
The menu bar has disappeared from my site entirely, the logo and banner have now changed size and all of my posts are in a tiny column to the right of the screen and the text doesn’t fit.
Is it merely a case of selecting the same plugins I had before to return my site to normal? Will it remember all of the custom html settings from before or I will I have to put them in again?
May I please email you some images so I can better explain the issues I’m having?

The update will lose any changes you made in the theme unless you modified the child theme.

i bought this template one year ago, and only started using it a week ago, and now support ended , unlucky me… but i found a SEO problem in the template, that google search console reported me…

it seems that “review, “brand” , “aggregateRating” and some identifier are not present in the JSON-LD of the template… even if it is a review. This seem to be a problem in the template, or some dependencie needed that i dont have, but i dont think so….

Hello… Json-ld or “schema” it is already integrated in your template…i belive it comes directly from wordpress…its a bunch of anotations for the google bot to better index and identify the content of the page… It seems that the schema is not right for when there is a rating…google identified that the page is a rating…but missed the attributes in the schema… Please fix it…this is a big issue in SEO optimizations… I would do it myself…but this is the first time im working with wordpress…im not familiar with WP structure… So i will wait a fix from your side as soon as possible… I believe i will need to renew my support payment to have access to the updade…please tell me once is done for me to do the payment. Hello! I just purchased your theme and I’m getting an error… Wordpress is wanting me to install the required plugin Redux Framework but every time I try installing I get an error message, saying the the “destination folder already exists.” Do you know a workaround for this?
My site currently looks nothing like the theme and I’m assuming that the absence of this required plugin is the reason behind it. Thanks!

In the settings for the “[Kappa] Featured Posts” widget you can set which posts you want to show. You have the option to show posts from a specific category, tag or even post ID’s.

Hello, i just installed this theme, and the layout seems a bit messed up, no menus appearing, a lot of things messed up… I installed the theme in the last version of wordpress, installed the suggested pluggins, also installed jetpack, yoast and woocommerce… its a fresh wordpress instalation, i dont know if it is normal to not have nothing ready, i was expecting to get a end result like the demo after installing.

The theme displays a latest posts page by default, all WordPress themes must work like this, you have to configure the widgets, menu … etc, I encourage that you read the documentation, it would help you a lot, however, I also suggest that you add more posts to see how the theme works.

Having some issue with this theme on my domain MidgarChronicles.com, the theme displays fine in viewers other than chrome, but when viewed in chrome, the sidebar briefly disappears on loading posts/pages and pushes all the body of the post/page to the side where the sidebar should be, and then scrolling down brings the sidebar back and pushes the content back in to the middle where it should be. I can provide screenshots of what I mean if necessary. Any advice?

To update the theme, you could use the Envato Market plugin, it supports updating any items that you purchased from the Themeforest.net and Codecanyon.net markets.
Otherwise, just re-download the theme from your download page https://themeforest.net/downloads
1. Log in to backend, deactivate and delete the kappa old version.
2. Unzip the downloaded file, upload and activate the new version (kappa.zip)

My name is Scott and I purchased the Kappa theme in 2018 and I love it. The reason I am sending this email is because a grey bar suddenly appeared across my logo. When I scroll down it becomes the menu, so I think it has something to do with the menu. I thought maybe something in “customize” may have gotten checked and it is a secondary menu or something, but after looking through everything including CSS I have found nothing. Although I am not a coder and I am hoping someone can take look and help me out.

You can add a review in the post-editing screen, you can add review heading, summary and criteria as you wish (screenshot)
In order to show these posts on the sidebar, you can categorize these posts into a particular category or a tag, then, set up the [Kappa] Aside Posts widget to the Primary sidebar and you can enter the category ID or tag slug to the field, see screenshot.

I’m trying to put the header image on www.stadiagames.pl – please take a look. The image resolution is 1550×419, so this is matching suggested 213 × 68 ratio.
