Subject: Help with Google Fonts loading method
Hello,
I’m using your theme on my blog https://un-tour-dans-le-sac.fr, and I’ve recently tried to improve site performance. One issue I noticed is that Google Fonts seem to be loaded using inline styles (@import or embedded CSS), which prevents optimization tools (like WP Rocket or Perfmatters) from serving them locally or deferring them properly.
Would it be possible to change the way fonts are integrated in the theme? Ideally, they should be loaded via <link rel=”stylesheet” href=”...”> in the <head>, which allows better control for optimization.

Hello there, have you tried with the custom font upload? You can download the font from Google then upload it in the custom font upload section in the theme appearance options.

good evening I recently migrated my existing website to a new server instance running PHP 8.2.10 after the move I noticed that the block type “portfolio” in the layout builder is causing the webpage to return blank (nothing is shown including other blocks or titles, images…) when I remove the block on the broken pages the page starts working again. could you please help me resolve this issue ( I would still like to be able to use that block type)

Hello there, the theme should work with the latest WordPress version, let me know if you have a specific issue. Keep in mind that the theme hasn’t been designed to work with the Block Editor, and can work only with PHP 7.4. Best, Simone
Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I have to update to PHP 8.0 in order to avoid additional costs. Is there a plan to updating the theme so it will work with PHP 8.0?

Hello, we’ve noticed on mobile if you open the mobile menu that the close button doesn’t work on our site, the only way to close the menu is to select a different page. Is there a way to resolve this issue so if someone accidentally clicked on the menu they have a way to close it while still on the page they’re on?

in order to keep your customizations you should always use a child theme, you can find an empty child theme inside the main package you can download here on ThemeForest.
By the way, concerning your issue, we have done a quick test and the button on mobile seems to work properly.

We picked up this project that someone else built and in order for it to work on mobile we had to edit the following on the theme: a transition was not ending/not removing ‘visibility: visible’ from the menu. We just commented out the transition code and now the close menu works.

Hello evolve Team. First of all. Great theme! I love it and I’m using it for several years now. Only recently I was facing a problem with the layout in the trip section: I want to use the layout style “image on the left/right” for trip stops. The text should have a darkish grey background. Only that even if I select a darkish overlay, the text will not display in white (but in black) which makes the whole text unreadable. Any ideas? Thank you for your help.

Val1103 make sure your PHP version is 7.4 and try again. I am going to do a fresh install of the update on PHP7.4 (no reason to jump to 8.0 yet) and will inform you about the results.

Not sure whether it’s the incompatability issues with wordpress 5.6 version everyone is talking about or it’s something else, but I’m experiencing problems only with the desktop verion of my website. I get random “white spaces” where there’s supposed to be text. All good with the mobile though.
Please let me know whether this will be fixed with the upcoming update or it’s something else.

Problem is not fixed for me. The problems are on the trip page. All what I have built with the tools of trip page appear in white, as you can see for example in this page : https://un-tour-dans-le-sac.fr/voyage/itineraire-lofoten/ Mobile version works correctly. I have desactivated all my plugins and passed on 7.4 PHP version, but nothing has changed

Buonasera, sto riscontrando un grave problema, se creo un articolo o una pagina, quando vado ad inserire nel Layout builder le Section e successivamente una Row la visuale della pagina scatta e sale in automatico in cima e devo scrollare manualmente per ritornare verso il basso per ritornare a inserire un block type. Se poi inserisco un qualunque blocktype succede lo stesso e devo scrollare di nuovo verso il basso, se inserisco un testo e poi pubblico la pagina si cancellano tutte le Row e restano solo le Section ma vuote. In pratica pubblico pagine vuote. Ho aggiornato anche il tema ma niente da fare. Cosa devo fare?

purtroppo al momento il tema non è compatibile con WordPress 5.6, stiamo lavorando per capire come far funzionare tutto nell’ultima versione. Le consigliamo ti ritornare alla versione 5.5 di WordPress fino a che non sarà rilasciato un nuovo update del tema.

the theme is not compatible yet with the WordPress 5.5 version, you have to roll back to 5.4.2 until we release the compatibility update.
If you don’t want to roll back to the previous WordPress version you can try to use the new plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper/ and see if everything works.
We are working to progressively update all of our products to be compatible with the new WordPress version.
An update will be released probably this week but since we are still working on a fix we haven’t a precise release date yet.

I love this amazing theme because it works the way I need it.
But suddenly all my “Trip” level pages (with trip map and time-line of posts) have stopped working. They all show as blank.
I didn’t change anything and it has happened to all (over fifty) of my “Trip” level pages, so I don’t think I accidentally caused it. Example: http://www.alexchan.co.nz/trip/iran-europe-galapagos/
My “Home” level page (http://www.alexchan.co.nz/) and “Posts” are working normally (eg. http://www.alexchan.co.nz/2020/08/09/high-security-transit/ ).
Does anyone else have the same problem? Thanks.

Locally, we’re already developing on PHP 7.3, and we couldn’t find any error using the theme, but we may be missing some info there.
