What is the best way to update this theme? I’ve downloaded your latest version. 2.2
Hi, if you upload the new version of the theme onto your site, it should give you the option to replace the current version with the new version.
thank you, the upgrade went smoothly. Also one quick question, I’d like to remove (or not show) the sidebar. In the documentation, it mentions this, but there is no option. thx
Is it the home page where you’d like to hide the sidebar?

If you go to the pages section and edit your home page, you should see a tab labelled “Sidebar” where you can hide it from the page.
For blog posts, you can go to appearance > customize > theme options > post layout override and then enable those options to hide the sidebar from all blog posts.
We only have pages. I don’t see any tabs named “sidebar”. Even did a cont-F for the word. Not there.
There should be a sidebar tab on each page. Could you send me a support message so I can help you further with that.
I fixed it. Looked at the plugins from the other site that I built with your theme. (I purchased 2) and saw I was missing Advanced Custom Fields. thanks for your help
The theme should come with a plugin called “Elegance Theme Core” that includes ACF. If you go to your plugins page, there should be a prompt at the top to install that.

We’re in the national newspaper today so I’m expecting some visitors, so thanks for the quick reply. I did some research and I found out that WPBakery Visual Composer has some issues.
So to keep it short: in the backend I can only work in the classic mode, the front- and backend mode of Visual Composer doesn’t work, it just simply doesn’t want to load. So the only option now is to fix it by coding in the classic mode, which I did the best I can so the website doesn’t look like a disaster when people go on there. Yet, I have no idea how to add other ‘portfolio’ items (in my case team members: http://www.paardenboerderij.be/team/) or change the pictures in the maze without Visual Composer. The code for each ‘portfolio’ item is:

I don’t know where I can find the number/name so I can add/change the picture manually ( like in images=”1258”).
Secondly, the parallax showcase on the homepage doesn’t seem to work properly: there’s a huge white gap between the images and the overlay doesn’t fit nicely over the image when hovering over it. (http://www.paardenboerderij.be)

Hi, the theme that you currently have named “Elegance” wasn’t actually created by myself, it just happens to have the same name. The theme that I sell doesn’t have a portfolio or team section, it’s primarily used for blogs.
I did an update on our website and now some pages are broken and I don’t know how to fix it. When I bought the theme in 2014, the ELEGANCE Wordpress Theme Documentation was included but it doesn’t seem relative anymore :cry: Can I get some help here please?

No, the header of theme doesn’t have an option to show the menu to the side of the logo.

When I imported the demo content, only text was imported, none of the images were. Usually demo content includes photos so I’m a little confused. Is it supposed to be this way or did something not install correctly?
Demo images aren’t included in the import files, no. I can send you the demo post images if you’d like them. Send me a support message and I can reply to that email with them.

Hello there, great theme, I am looking to purchase it, I just have a couple of questions. Is it possible to make the Blog, one continuous read….meaning the whole post appears instead of having to click on the – continue reading- button to be able to read the whole post? without the sidebar Also I would like to omit the header photo/post and just go straight into the posts when entering the site. I hope I am being clear, it is tricky to explain…

Hi, showing the whole blog post in the list of posts wouldn’t be possible, no. The excerpt for the post is shown there, but you wouldn’t be able to show all content of the post in the list. For the “header photo/post”, do you mean the slideshow on the home page? If so, yes you can, the slideshow and promo boxes have options to be hidden. Doing so would then only show your blog posts.

Hi, that was a bug that has now been fixed. You need to delete the Advanced Custom Fields plugin you have installed and then update the theme to the latest version. If you need further help, send me a support message and I’ll help you in more detail.

Hi, just got this theme, and so far I love it. I haven´t found in the documentation image default dimensions, Im having some trouble with image quality difference between featured image and blog post content images, it looks like images are been re-sizing in the content. Thanks for your help.
Hi, the images in the theme aren’t actually being resized except from being limited to 100% width of the content area. The images used for the featured area on the home page in the demo are 1920×600 and the blog post images are 1400×900. You could use these sizes for reference, but they can be whatever you like.

Hi there, I like the theme lots, also I’m happy to see that colors can be changed individually. How about Fonts though? (Or maybe I overread that…) Are they interchangeable oder is there a fix set of fonts? Thanks, J
Hi, you do have a lot of customization when it comes to the colors in the theme, yes. The fonts however aren’t changeable with the options included in the theme. There are good plugins such as “Easy Google Fonts” which would allow you to change the fonts.
I really want to buy this theme. But i found it while i filtered the search with ‘compatible with woocommerce’ – but i can’t find any explanatory notes that proves this. Neither in the description nor in the live view itself… Is it compatible with WooCommerce and if yes – how?
Not sure how you managed to find it by filtering by that, but you are correct, there isn’t anything in the description to say it is. That is because the theme hasn’t been tested with WooCommerce and isn’t sold as compatible with WooCommerce. I couldn’t say for certain whether it is or not, but I can’t think of a reason why it wouldn’t be. The styling may not follow through to the WooCommerce pages, but the functionality should all work.
Just received the update from today. how can I tell what was updated?
The main point was to fix an issue with a plugin being used.
I’ll update the item again with the correct change log so you get a better idea. This was quite a crucial fix and in the haste of things forgot the change log.

Looks very nice! I’ll probably buy it for a client. But I would like to know if it’s possible to change the button’s text depending on the current wordpress language (eg: “Continue reading”). Do i need to do it manually or wordpress will do the trick itself ?
The text for buttons like “Continue reading” can be changed to whatever you like, including a different language. You can do this from within the customizer in WordPress.
