Instagram has recently turned off an API endpoint without notification. You will have to update to the latest theme version and follow the update guide to fix it. We’re planning on using CheerUp for our Lifestyle Blog, which we would need to translate into multiple languages using the WMPL Plugin. In your item details I saw that it should work together, however when I searched for the compatibility on the WPML website I couldn’t find it under the currently certified themes.
Would you be able to tell me if it still works together? That would be great!

Thanks for writing to us. To answer your query, CheerUp is compatible with WPML and we have many users using it for multilingual sites without issues. As for their official certified themes, that’s only available to companies who apply for their certification which we didn’t deem necessary.

Sorry we don’t have a guide for such a setup as it’s handled by the WPML plugin. As WPML will be used for that, you will have to refer to WPML guides and their support will be the best resource on the subject. They have extensive docs and tutorials as well.

The individual per-post options won’t be available but the global customizer setting should apply considering it’s a CPT that also has a category taxonomy. My featured slides disappeared from the homepage after an update! Settings did not change but slides are simply gone. Tried to switch to a different one in customizer, nothing worked.
hmmm…the featured slide settings changed. I had to install a new template to suss it out. In the past, it auto showed new posts on there, now it requires a featured tag for it to work. There should be a way to give people options on either auto show new, featured only, or specific ids

I can’t access your forums. Yeah, it stopped loading latest posts a few updates ago. I had to place a temporary image in it’s place until I found the time for a work around. I checked all the plugins and turned everything off but the ones that are need to make it display…that did not work until I added tags for the products.

hi i am considering buying your theme. But i do the google pagespeed test via the link in item detail section, the speed for desktop is awesome, for mobile not so appealing though?

In real world tests, the speed is excellent if tested on real devices. In synthetic tests like Google Pagespeed Insights (which isn’t a real-world measurement), you can see it’s a very good score if you compare it against any news or blog site, even on mobile. Further it can be improved by some more optimizations like using the WebP Express to serve images with better compression (we don’t use it on our demos yet).

Thanks for the reply. Another question: i am running a food blog, but if i choose to use the other demo styles instead of “food demo”, will the recipe card inherit the style accordingly? or i have to style the recipe card in the wordpress recipe maker plugin? thanks !!
The recipe card will be styled the same in all of the demos – only thing that will change is the font, and accent color (such as the steps numbers) to match rest of the demo.

I am using Sahifa (tie labs) right now and I like to migrate to CheerUp – Are they compatible?
I should be able to do the basic install – but I am not sure about bringing my stories (around 200) and images across.
Does anyone have any suggestion that can help me…
1) Make sure my existing site is backed up in the best way possible for a migration
2) Suggested steps I should take to ensure a smooth migration
Any help – much appreciated!

Thanks for writing to us. Migrating to CheerUp is similar to to most other themes. If your previous theme had any theme-specific shortcodes, they won’t work on a new theme (but shortcodes from plugins will be fine) and everything else should be fine.
As for the process, apart from backups, we would recommend using a “staging” site to setup and test. Many webhosts offer a one-click staging site so you can check that with your host. Other than that, a normal setup process should be fine.
While we don’t offer migration as service, you can look around Envato Studio for an expert suitable for your requirement and price range. Or for a more premium service provider, Codeable.io has some of the best experts.

I’m having few problems with the theme. 1. I’m getting around 763 AMP error index and 72 validated URLs errors from the theme and this causing a huge problem. 2. The theme never been updated since the time I bought it which is causing me problems such as the search in the navbar stopped from working same as the likes, don’t know what going to happen after. 3. Having few errors – Uncaught ReferenceError: lazySizes is not defined - Uncaught SyntaxError: Invalid or unexpected token
Please need these problems to be fixed as i cannot proceed with my website when I am having such these problems.

The AMP errors are likely from the plugin as you can run the official AMP verification on our demos and it passes without issues. CheerUp has had at least 6 updates in the past year so if you haven’t been updating it or are below version 7.0, please refer to this guide (login to your support account to view).

Hi! I have a few presale questions:
1) With my current theme, I have a full main menu, and links to my about page, contact page, write for us page and privacy policy. Can those menu links be added to that top menu?
2) Do you have more social buttons you aren’t showing? I currently use the “Yummly” and “Flipboard” socials
3) For subscribers, can I use MailPoet rather than Wordpress?
4) Is there a way to add either a footer menu or a list of links for a menu in the footer?

1. We have a feature for “topbar menu” that’s available on certain header styles. Under the features menu in header styles on each demo, you can see the list of headers. It’s available for Header Style 2 and Style 8.
2. Sorry we don’t currently have Yummly or Flipboard. But we have noted this for next version.
3. You may use any services’ subscriber widget in the sidebar, however, we provide native integration with MailChimp.
4. It’s possible and prominent in “Bold Style” footer. Alternatively, you can use HTML in footer copyright to add links or anything else.

Hi there, quick presale question. Can you confirm that AMP works for Recipe posts too? & if so, are all schema.org data mantained in the AMP version?
Also, is the recipe a Custom Post type or a regular post with some extra meta fields?

We use the WP Recipe Maker plugin and extend its styling and some features. And yes, it makes available the schema data in the AMP version too. So Recipe schema is available in AMP.
In fact, most schema data is also available in AMP, but for plugins, it depends on whether the plugin makes compatible schema data available for AMP.
As for Recipe posts, they’re normal posts with embedded recipes – and you can try them out in WP Recipe Maker plugin.

I downloaded the envato market plug in and updated the theme and it crashed my admin panel. Then, I added the new uploaded file and it says I already have it but the food blog is not there.
Update to 7.0 does not work. A technician tried it with the plugin and manually and all it shows is a white screen and crashes my site.

My present theme has some features and I want to make sure your theme also has it. And there are some issues with my present theme so I want to make sure your theme doesn’t have them.
1) Does your AMP image size match/meet the new Google AMP image size requirement of atleast 1200 pixels by 670 pixels?
2) Can I insert Google Adsense ads and inline related posts in the AMP pages/posts?
3) Is it possible to add last updated/modified time on the single posts?
4) Is it possible to display breadcrumbs in the single posts?
5) Does your theme have the ‘back to top’ button on the posts?
6) Can I add a subtitle below the main article title on the posts?
7) Can the google fonts that are used by your theme be self-hosted on our site so that it speeds up the site?
Is it possible to add a user photo/local avatar by uploading image on the user profile pages in the backend?
9) Which schema markup do you use – JSON-LD/Microdata/RDFa?
10) Is it possible to have a posts carousal at the top of a single post?
11) Do you provide options for custom branding, that is, own logo and background on the theme admin/login page?
