Problem: LOTS of Zeen’s main navigation and sidebar features are using headings.

Zeen doesn’t use HTML headings to style text. All HTML headings used are for hierarchy purposes only. Posts titles are hierarchal so are always headings.
Styling applied to these elements is not done by styling the heading html either, it’s done via classes

I am trying to insert post boxes in a page and it seems all “classic” ways to insert these boxes (classic a, classic b, classic c…) won´t work, it appears the rotating waiting icon and it stops there, most of other boxes work just fine.

The theme already has lightbox features – you can have a normal lightbox or one that smoothly zooms in the image when you click on one. What exactly are you hoping for?

Hi guys – just noticed on post format Gallery – when the gallery at the top of the post is set to normal width there is an excellent ‘enlarge’ button to enlarge the gallery on the screen. This works brilliantly on desktop but noticed when used on mobile, clicking the enlarge button makes the gallery disappear and freezes the screen.
Not sure if we have a setting wrong but can’t see a way to fix it or change appearance for mobile – any advice would be great – thanks

Ah you know what, I don’t think that feature is actually meant to be visible on mobile, due to the tiny screen size vs a desktop screen, and because it’s already full-screen technically.

Great – hoping to use the gallery setting but with a simple scroll through or lightbox feature on mobile. Thanks for looking in to it.
It’s been tweaked in 3.9.5, as it’s already edge to edge on mobile there’s no point in having this feature there
The lets review is buggy, buttons disapear, cant add more pros or cons, not even aff link. This is when you add it inside a post using the editor.

This has already been reported and is currently being patched up.
It’s not buggy though, it’s actually a new issue caused by Gutenberg’s markup changes.
They are constantly changing Gutenberg’s way of working after every update, it’s really annoying and bad for anything that’s created custom Gutenberg blocks (such as Let’s Review).
Hopefully they just make their minds up and stick to a single consistent foundation for Gutenberg

Hi codetipi, when editing Tipi Builder content on a page, some blocks do not have the Limit Max Width option. For example, post blocks have this option, but columns and others like the text editor do not.
Even with global width set in the theme customizer, individual Tipi Builder pages override it. It’s useful to have the full page design when creating something like a homepage, but not for individual content pages on a narrow site.
Would you please consider making Limit Max Width available for all blocks?

Do you have sticky sidebar option enabled? If so, then all default sidebars should be sticky, if this isn’t the case, please open a ticket at http://codetipi.ticksy.com and share all the details (like the fact you have sticky sidebar option enabled) + the url of the sidebar that isn’t sticky, if you tried disabling all plugins, etc and someone from support can help investigate it.

the dark mode is not workink well, when loading articles the theme come back white and one half second after go to dark mode. You can see on your demo site is also same.
Also, please can you work on the vidéo player, the first video has to be also into the playlist.

Waiting for the next update now. Version 3.9.5 hasn’t fixed the dark theme that comes back white for half a second each time a page loads (it’s like a kind of flash that stings the eyes), and still not the first video in the playlist. But I believe in you Codetipi, with hope for the next 3.9.6
Since update 3.9.5 there is a huge space underneath the videos 
This has been fixed and a quickfix update will be out later today

Hi guys – in the Tipi builder for a taxonomy there is no option to choose left or right sidebar when using the ‘default posts’ block. The sidebar defaults to the right – I wonder if that option could please be added maybe at a later date??
I know I can style up the page separately with blocks etc but I need the ‘default posts’ block for a search function I’m building with category+location. I have the sidebar set to ‘left’ in the category edit but once I switch to Tipi edit it defaults to the right and there there is no option to move it to the left – none that I can find anyway. Hope this is possible

If i am looking to change the zeen theme to something different then what I already have; is that possible or does it have to be a complete install. I currently have the default Zeen and would like to change it to Robots. Thanks in advance!

You sure can – you can go to Appearance > Theme setup to run the import process again. You can use the advanced button to only import what you need (such as theme options). If you have a staging site feature in your hosting, do it there so you can calmly do it without affecting your live visitors.

Hi there tipi folk – chicken or egg question – a) is it possible to show breadcrumbs on tipi styled category archive pages? – if not – b) is it possible to show the default category archive page posts in random order?

Sure thing:
a) I believe the breadcrumbs * should * appear in the default title block that you have access to when building a category archive page with the Tipi Builder, have you tried that?
b) You could use custom PHP to override the order to random for your category archives too, search on google for it and you should find a PHP snippet that you can paste into the child theme’s functions.php

I’m thinking about switching to this theme (it looks great). My one concern is the reactions—it doesn’t seem like there is the ability to add custom ones from the research I’ve done. Thanks for checking out Zeen
The theme comes with loads of different expressions to choose from – you enable/disable each one and the theme comes with two different emoji designs.
There is also a theme hook that does allow you to use your own reaction images! It’s very easy to do and the documentation explains the easy steps to do it. You can pass your own image code for each expression (can be an image tag or svg code, or anything you want).

Ah the Facebook private page messages aren’t checked too often as they’re so buggy and hard to use/share code/files/etc. You need valid support to open a ticket, do you not have it? If you can open it and share admin login details (and have all plugins disabled, except Zeen Engine) someone from support can help and if it still doesn’t work, it’ll be escalated to Chris
