Hi sorry if this question is dumb, but just purchased the theme and began installing to my site. I am at the “Reading Settings” part but when setting the static Homepage, I do not have the option to select Homepage/Frontpage as “Home”. I only have the selections listed as: Cart, Checkout, My account, Sample page, and Shop.

Hello, I’m very new to website building. I’m currently building my website via WordPress and I purchased the Vex theme to install however, when I upload it, I get an error message stating,
“Installing theme from uploaded file: themeforest-ZN4nssl0-vex-creative-music-theme.zip Unpacking the package… Installing the theme… The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet. Theme installation failed.”
What does this mean? And how can I fix it?

Hello, such a gorgeous theme. Pre-purchase question: Can i edit the home page rather just showing a full screen of that picture with a menu? like i would like to add more sections to the home page via elementor, add a tiny about us sections etc. etc. I dont plan on using the theme for a music artist 
just for a creative team that does hair shows and i would it to be as a landing page. In both home page demos i saw, it only shows a full screen slide.

I’ve noticed that while surfing on Zona the player doesn’t stop playing. In the Vex it jumps from one beat to another when you’re walking through the site between different pages.. Can it function be changed manually through admin panel or another way? Also, I have question about Vex: does it support selling downloads of music by one click adding to cart and then checkout? Are there any icons/buttons “buy” or “icon of package” like in Zona or ‘icon of cart”?

Vex has a different player than Zona. Vex has a background player that plays one track (loop) to each page and can be assigned another track that changes automatically. It is not possible to use bottom player like in Zona. You can add simple WC link e.g.: : http://vex.test/shop/?add-to-cart=579 after clicking, you will be redirected to the cart page. In Vex we used button shortcode to display link in player so it is possible overwritten code in child theme.

Absolutely LOVE this theme, what is missing for me is a way to get back to the base news/beats page once viewing and article or album – it’s great being able to go to next/previous post, but a link to take you back to the listings would be great – is there a way to easily do this?

presale question: Is there any way to resolve this: I have tried your demo on mobile and if I play song from one album and I don’t pause it and open another album the 2 songs play at same time, same happens with third and fourth song.. So my question is, can you make in the theme to play only one song at the time, and when another is played form another album there is no 2 overlapping songs. Thanks

I have some questions
1. My albums. I have created categories. I am creating duplicate ‘beats’ pages, each will be showing different categories which I set in the albums.
When I activate a category on the filter (click and highlight that category name) – nothing shows on the page.
However if I set it to all, and don’t stipulate any category, then they show on the page.
I need to be able to set the filter to show only specific categories on specific pages. Please help.
2. Is there a way to play a video as a background on the page as opposed to a static image?
3. My background music track on the home page. I am battling to get that to play.

I just can’t add a soundcloud link as custom track as you mentioned in the doc. I try to insert this link : https://soundcloud.com/domenicocurcio/06-petite-valse-domenico-curcio-piano-solo to the “Release /Track URL” and it gives me an error when I try to play it. Am I missing something?

The Albums Slider Home, does the Slider feed of the added Albums?
Is there a possibility for automation when importing albums?
I’m planning to use this with Audiobooks, where there is a lot (200+) of single tracks but just a few “albums”.
Is there a filtering option for the layout when looking at the album overview? or a different layout possibility?
On iOS i have just witnessed a bug, when opening an album and playing a track – it will continue play in the background, even if you start music from the menu circle button or go into another album and play a track. This is really annoying and can only be stopped when closing the page altogether.

Hi I love the theme but have some questions about its ability to accomodate WP modules and plugins. The front page with the man wearing shades and the waves in the background is a wonderful effect. However can I upload a Slider Revolution or LayerSlider plugin and would your theme allow me to set up a full screen slider that precedes your demo front page? I want my slider with slides to be the first thing that loads before the menu selections take me to your demo theme pages and features. Does your theme allow to load slider plugins from third party vendors? what about other WP plugins like User/Subscriber Management and Content Access Restriction? Does your theme have any limitation on incorporating Wordpress plugins from other sources? Thank you kindly.

Sorry it took so long for a response, I have a small holiday break, so that’s why the answers can take more time.
Essentially, yes, because the template is compatible with Elementor. In the page editor I added layout options so that you can disable all margins. This way you can set fullscreen slider, image, video etc.
For sure all plugs (prepackaged) are compatible Elementor, Contact form 7, etc. Theme is based on AJAX so when you use it then you may notice that part of the 3rd-party plugins can work properly. I mean, can cause problems or don’t load well. It possible your plugin is not designed for AJAX. You can check it: go to theme options > advanced > AJAX loader set at OFF. If your plugin will now work correctly it means that it is not compatible with AJAX (loading the page without reloading the browser window).
You can add links to Theme Options > Advanced > AJAX Exclude Links and they will not be loaded by AJAX.

1 – Does your theme have a built-in full screen slider option? I am guessing no, because you didnt mention it but I want to be sure.
2- LayerSlider and Slider Revolution are two of the biggest slider plugins available for Wordpress, they are basically like WPBakery (which you stated is not compatible neither is Woo Commerce). Can you test these slider plugins with your theme and get back to me? I am sure your studio has these plugins on hand since they are industry standards just like Woo Commerce. Perhaps you can plug the slider plugins into your theme and test their compatibilty and let us know?
3- If I install a Slider Revolution plugin into your theme will it work seamlessly? I want to set it as the first thing that shows up, as the homepage and I want the menu on your demo to show up on the slider and then when a visitor clicks the menu links they go to the demo you created. I have another set of questions on how you created some part of the demo, like Beats.
4- I looked at your documentation and it seems to be missing some instructions, I will get into it after you answer this question. Your Elementor compatible pages are only two? About Us and Contact? These are the only two Elementor editable pages in your theme? what about the other ones? The buyer has to use the Wordpress editor to create the other content? Do you have any shortcodes built into your theme for convenience? I didnt see any in the documentation file. Your theme is not compatible with WPBakery that means we cannot use their shortcodes and you dont have any shortcodes built into your specialty theme? There is basically only one page that can be customized by Elementor because CONTACT is really straightforward and does not really need any customization. The other pages in your demo are neither Elementor ready nor PageLayer ready nor WPBakery ready?

You can put RevoSlider via Elementor please take a look: https://rascalsthemes.com/demo/vex/demo1/revo-test/2.I tested Revoslider becauseIt is compatible with Ajax loader and it is most important to me that the template does not have to reload the entire page again. Of course, you can disable the ajax loader in theme options.
3. Please check the link I sent you. This is a simple slider created for testing purposes.
4. I added some basics Elementor widgets (also shortcodes) like Tracklist, Buttons etc so that you can build predefined pages like single release page, event page etc .. Loop pages are fixed (templates) like Beats, Events list so theme does not have shortcodes to recreates these pages like e.g.: Meloo theme.

Hi pre sales question, if I dont want to feature music tracks can this be omitted from the page layout? is there an option to use the layout but without inserting the music tracks/player?
2 – Some of the pages in your theme have a background with a dynamic flutter effect, is the photo a normal photo and you have a special filter that creates the effect or is the photo a video/gif animation?
3- the galleries and news have layouts where the photo is in the foreground and there is a background photo, are they PNG format or can they be JPG format? all are compatible? PNG large size are much heavier files and slow down browser display time.
4- The Pages menu have several formats available for LAYOUTS and GALLERY, can the developer pubish several different pages on the menu and each page uses a different format or once a format is chosen then all pages are globally set to the format selected? Can you pick and chose for each page and assign a different format for display? So under Pages the developer can create multiple LAYOUTS and multiple GALLERIES each different in design as show in the demo?
5- can this theme be modified by WPBakery plugin? is it fully compatible?
6- are you affiliated or part of the designer ClaPat? Your themes have the same look and feel. Can you theme be combined with theirs? are you the same studio?

1. Player can be disabled in theme panel and also you cant disabled tracklists in single post via shortcode or Elementor.
2. No it’s my pure Javascript code, so you can use custom image (what you want).
3.You can disabled this image background on each page or change it. Yes you can use jpg or png as you prefer.
4.Yes, you can use the format you like and then copy the page (e.g.: via Copy post plugin) in this way you will have the same settings on other sites.
5. No theme is compatible with Elementor and its is fully ajaxed. My theme is the first theme on the market that run Elementor with fully ajaxed loader.
6. I know ClaPat they make great themes.But no, I am an independent studio, I have existed since 2009 and from 2010 I started creating WP theme with full ajax loading. Vex (and future my themes) are created in pure Javascript, I don’t use additional libraries like jQuery anymore. This way the template is even faster also I created my own proven AJAX solutions with WordPress.

This is an amazing theme, I would love to be able to sell products with this unfortunately it doesn’t look good when I add woocommerce. Could you please integrate woocommerce with this theme in a future update?
