Hello,
Can you tell me why does accordion has issue?
For example I have added 6 accordion items and when I click on any of them to expand it just expands for a second and then collapses again.

I am sorry but there is no accordion element built-in in TownPress. You are probably using some 3rd party one, but theme support doesn’t cover that (and your theme support is also expired).

Just, this is so strange that element is not working even though it is built in theme. We haven’t used it so far so we didn’t have any need to address you.

https://prnt.sc/vhyqblAre you using the latest version of the theme? Because the accordion was built-in in TownPress 1.x but it is not anymore. More importantly, the 1.x version is no longer supported. Your best bet is to use 3rd party accordion element, for example if you are using WPBakery Page Builder, use the one which comes with it.
We are using 1.x version.
And also we are using WPBakery Page Builder that is built in theme but there is only this Accordion inside that when we click to add new element.

Edit the functions.php file in the parent theme and remove line 53, this should make all the default WPBakery elements available.
Sorry but this is also not working. They just don’t collapse.
We will have to find different solution.
It is not a fix for collapsing, it is a fix to make all default WPBakery element appear in the builder.
Well that doesn’t help at all. Also we tried 3 accordion plugins from WordPress repository and they all have issue collapsing.
I am sorry, but again, the version you are using is no longer supported. Your best bet is to hire a freelancer who will be able to take a look at it.
OK. Can you tell me if there are some instructions in your documentation how to migrate from 1x to new version of theme?
Upgrading to the latest version will require you to basically create your site from scratch. You can import your standard posts and pages (but only ones which do not use theme elements) and you can also use plugin like this one to convert other post types. However, it will convert only post titles and content, you will have to set up your metaboxes (event start, document attachments, etc.) manually, since they are completely different between old and new version. It is highly recommended to do this on a clean WP installation. I really do not advise to do it directly over your current version. Make sure to read the whole documentation as well.

sure, it is a regular widget, you can put it into whichever sidebar you want, even into a content (but it probably won’t look good in a content though).

Thank you for your reply well now ive bought it and installed it but it gives me this lovely fatal error on the site (i still can manage dashboard, thank god) the error starts with Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function wp_body_open() and then comes like 8 more rows with this… so how can i fix it? or you need to see the whole thing? (then i would prefer to send it to you privately somehow :)) thanks
Make sure you are running the latest version of WordPress (5.5.3).

Thanks for the help so far, I am loving this theme. My next question is I want my documents page to look like yours but can not for the life of me figure out how? I created a documents page and use the LSVR Documents Widget and it only shows the Latest Documents. I want the folder and hierarchy look.

go to admin / Appearance / Customize / Documents and set the layout to Categorized Attachments. Then just access your documents archive via yoursite.com/documents.

The Home Page says “your site does not include support for the “lsvr-townpress-toolkit/sitemap” block. You can leave this block intact or remove it entirely.
What does this mean? Is this the menu that would be saying Choose your interest? If so I want that to appear.

please make sure your sidebars are properly assigned. You can set sidebars fo regular pages using the Sidebar Settings when editing a page. For post type pages (blog, events, notices, etc.) it can be done under Appearance / Customize / [Post Type].

I am having an issue where new events are not showing up in widgets or in the event listing. I add them, but they do not appear. I also cannot get them to show as a past event using events/?period=past&order=desc so I don’t believe the issue is timezone related. Have you got any ideas how to get this to work?

Hi, I have a an issue with the events plugin on a multi site. When I create a new event in the other site, it keeps showing “There are no events” in the right side bar. There are also no events listed in the events page. I tried to disable and enable the events plugin, but to no avail. I also tried to search for the lsvr_event_occurrences database, but I only saw one entry. Please how can i make it work?

ad center buttons: you need to put them into a centered element.
ad color: you can use a CSS like this:

You can get the page ID from its URL when you edit it in the admin.

1.) I am sorry, but I do not have RTL demo available

4.) you can have as much widgets as you want there, it’s a standard WordPress sidebar (the menu is also a widget BTW).
5.) The “Classic” home page uses two sidebars, you can disable one or both of them and put any widgets you want into them. This is the same for all pages, just take a look at tother home pages for example and you will se they have just one sidebar and in the case of “Dashboard” home page, it even has a different sidebar. There is no fixed content, this is a WordPress theme, everything can be customized. The home pages you see in the preview are mere examples, nothing is set in stone when it comes to content.

Ad video: I am sorry but you will have to hire a freelancer for customization like that, unfortunately that is not something I can help you with
ad documents: you can create document posts which work in the similar way as standard WP posts, with the difference that you can attach document files to these posts. Then you can either display them as post list with attachments (you can see this layout in my other theme – Pressville demo here) or as a list of attachments. You can also display those posts (or just attachments) via various widgets in sidebars or content of standard pages.
hello. I would like to use xml rpc to upload my old documents to you theme. when I set up the post type to lsvr_document the error message is “Sorry, one of the given taxonomies is not supported by the post type. ” [terms] => Array ( [category] => Array ( [0] => 164 )

Hi,
custom post types use custom taxonomies for categories and tags. For example for lsvr_document CPT, the category taxonomy is lsvr_document_cat and tag taxonomy is lsvr_document_tag. I don’t have any experience with that particular script so I can’t help you on how to properly configure it to use these taxonomies instead of default ones though.

How much is problem to update from 1.1 to current version?
I updated php from 5.6 to 7.2 and now wordpres 5.5.1 does not work. Could this be problem because I have Townpress 1.1 ? thank you

if you want to update to the latest version, you will have to rebuild whole site from scratch.
However, even the v1 should work fine with PHP7 and latest WP. Make sure to update to 1.6.4 which you will find in the full package in the Legacy folder. Updating to the latest general version (3.5.0) is of course highly recommended as v1 is no longer supported or maintained.

Our municipality currently uses this theme, however most of the bundle plugins seem to have disappeared and the functionality of the site is not working for our needs without them. Is there a way I can download this bundle again? Any tips are greatly appreciated.

Hi,
you can always re-download the whole theme using an account with which it was originally purchased. But if you are not able to log into the account with which the theme was purchased, then you will have to buy a new license. There is really no way around that.
However, the version you are using is very outdated and no longer supported. But you will find the the latest version of the 1.x branch (the one you are using) in the downloaded package so you will be able to update up to that version.
BTW, the original version you are using came with only two bundled plugins, one of which is Redux Framework which is freely available on the official WordPress repository and the other one is LSVR TownPress Toolkit which you still have since you still have stuff like notices which are part of that plugin. So any issues you are facing, missing plugins ain’t it.

If I were to repurchase the license, to access the updated version.. would I have to rebuild the site? Or would I just download the package and suddenly have the updated version?

Link I gave you is a repository link as well. Try to install it manually via FTP.

If you want to update to the general latest version (currently 3.5.0), then yes, you will have to rebuild your site form the scratch as that version is not compatible with the old one you are using.
