Hello, I have a problem with demo setup. There is some way to create a portfolio masonry page without demo setup? I think Elementor doesn’t let me do it. Thanks.

Yes I received the email and working on it. This is happening in the latest version of ‘Elementor’. It was fine is the older version.

Hi,

I have made the necessary corrections in Elementor’s global settings and now the portfolio columns are working fine.

‘Elementor’ has made some changes which is why this happened.

But everything is fine now.

Hi there,

I got a problem when I want to sort my project in my portfolio. As you explain in your doc, I rearrange the order to sort the portfolio post by drag & drop but at this moment there is a pop up which says “There was an error saving the updates” so I can’t do it… I have no idea why.

Do you already see this problem ?

There is a possibility that despite of error the portfolio is sorted.

Hi,

I just bought the theme, it’s really nice, I appreciate it !

But I have a question, how can I do to have a section “Latest works” in my home page ? Actually I have one, but the problem is that every projets that I upload in my portfolio page will be in the section “latest works” on my home page. So I just want to know if there is a way to limit the number of projets which can appear on my home page ? For exemple if I just want 3 projects, how can I do that ?

Hi,

If you edit ‘Portfolio Section’, you have a query tab, there you have ‘Exclude/Include portfolio items’. Choose include from the dropdown and put the ‘id’ of the portfolio that you want to show.

You can find the ‘id’ in the URL of portfolio item or if you go to ‘Portfolio items’ in the dashboard you can see them.

I’m not sure what is happening, I can edit every portfolio page with no problem, but the latest page I created, it doesn’t load up at all through the elementor page builder.

Hi,

In dashboard go to ‘Elementor > Settings’ and under ‘general tab’ check the option which says ‘Portfolio items’ against post types.

Hi, when uploading large images, the theme automatically scales them down, so they look very blurry. Talking images that are more than 5000 pixels high.

Thanks, I managed to fix the problem myself by adding add_filter( ‘big_image_size_threshold’, ‘__return_false’ ); to the functions.php file

Hi, I just bought the caster creative portfolio theme. Now I am not able to setup my portfolio because it says you have to buy Elemntor pro to drag the portfolio item. I paid for full working theme if it doesn’t work then I want refund and I don’t want to waste my time.

Hi,

There is no need to buy ‘Elementor pro’ for portfolio item. Whatever you see in the demo is built without ‘Elementor pro’.

Theme offers it’s own ‘portfolio section’ shortcode to display portfolio’s.

If you navigate to side panel, at the bottom under ‘CASTER ELEMENTS’ you will see all ‘shortcodes’.

If you import the demo data you will see the portfolio section.

Hi, I have purchased these theme and it doesn’t contain any information on how to use it at al. The description said it was simple and intuitive to use, this is far from the case.

I am using wordpress.org (self hosted). I have installed the blog and imported demo using one click demo importer.

The portfolio page is empty and says ‘add portfolio in admin’. This makes no sense, I don’t see a portfolio anywhere

When you download the theme from themeforest you get two options for the download ‘All files and documentation’ or ‘Installable WordPress file only’, the documentation in not included in ‘Installable WordPress file only’.

We have included documentation both offline & online.

Please make sure you have installed and activated all theme required plugins, without the plugin portfolio won’t work.

How do I set up the Portfolio without importing any demo assets, because that’s what I actually prefer? I’ve done everything right but on the Portfolio Details page, the image doesn’t show. Is this possible or the “One Click Demo Import” is a “necessary evil” in the whole theme setup?

When you add new portfolio item you get to the portfolio item page. There you need to select the project type and based on it you need to upload media’s like images, slider, video etc.

I’m thoroughly confused. I have installed the Caster theme. It works great, looks great etc. problem is only one portfolio item will display. I have 2 published. I can even duplicate the one portfolio item that is displaying and the second will not show up.

I installed the demo site. Built the working items from one of the sample portfolio items. I set the rest to “Draft” so tehy would not appear. If I re-publish them only some of them show up in the portfolio.

Hi,

Edit the ‘portfolio section’ using the elementor and under Query tab remove Portfolio Id’s.

If you want to show all the portfolio items then remove all portfolio id’s, else add specific portfolio id’s.
