FYI, with the last update the Recent Posts with Thumbnails widget isn’t recognizing the show number of posts field. It was only showing 1 as I had set it, but after the update it began showing 6 no matter what number I tried to change it to.

The core plugin is up to date. I just installed the update for today. I see how it changes in the video, but it’s still not working on our site. I can’t create a ticket because our support has run out.

If you are using the default products archive as shop page then it will need a little custom css else for a page showing products using the Woocommerce shortcode it can be done with the page options.

Pre-sales question: I know that some theme developers customize the included plugins (like WPBakery Composer). Have you customized WPBakery to suit your theme? Or can I use my own licensed version of WPBakery instead? (for more features and the ability to update as needed)... or will that break your theme?

BTG theme uses non modified version of the WPBakery page builder plugin. So you can use your own license. However we do have a function in theme to set this plugin as part of theme, this is a standard function vc_set_as_theme( true ); This can be removed by using our child theme.

Have the same problem as Edith88 with the WP5.5 update. I am using Born to Give v2.6.1 and get the same warning as Edith88. Update breaks layout and can’t edit page with WPbakery.
- Tried cache clearing, does not make a difference - Tried using the jQuery Migrate Helper plugin, helps with some parts of admin, but prevents some parts of home page from displaying images and those warnings are displayed - All plugins are up to date.
Only solution was to revert back to WP4.2.
Is there an update for Born to Give on the way soon?

Sorry, but this site is live and I cannot leave it a mess, so I have to keep it reverted to WP4.2 to keep it displaying correctly. But based on your response it sounds like no update is coming.

Hi! I wanted to open a ticket on your support page, but I’m not allowed since my support expired. However, this is a general issue since Wordpress 5.5.
The backend editor for WP backery is no longer working, only the frontend editor.
That’s why I installed the Enable jQuery Migrate Helper plugin and I can use the backend editor again, but it gives these warnings:
/wp-content/themes/born-to-give/assets/js/admin_scripts.js:8:47): jQuery.fn.live() is deprecated
/wp-content/themes/born-to-give/assets/js/admin_scripts.js:13:40): jQuery.fn.live() is deprecated
I saw that you updated the theme to be compatible with Wordpress 5.5., but can you check these, too?

Hi! I updated the theme to Version 2.6.1 and all plugins before posting the comment here and those warnings still appear. The good thing is that with the Enable jQuery Migrate Helper plugin enabled, I can use the backend editor.

I am unable to update the theme via Envato Market. I’m getting an error from the Meta Box plugin: You have not set your Meta Box license key yet, which means you are missing out on automatic updates and support! Please enter your license key or get a new one here.

Where is the Welcome page? Dashboard – theme Options?
It seems like you are using a very old version of theme which doesn’t have the new theme dashboard. Make sure you are using the latest version of Envato Market Plugin https://envato.com/market-plugin/ so you can update the theme easily. If this isn’t working for you then you need to update the theme using FTP or from WP Dashboard after deleting the old version of theme.

1. For the campaigns/causes donation form, yes you can add in your custom fields. It uses WPCharitable plugin and it’s tutorial is here: https://www.wpcharitable.com/documentation/custom-donation-field/
2. Campaigns/Causes uses Charitable plugin which do offer some additional payment gateways which you can checkout here: https://www.wpcharitable.com/extensions/ However. for events the only payment option available is PayPal.

No, there is a blue button that appears on the dashboard in WordPress that says: “Important notice: You have an outdated version of WPBakery Page Builder Design Options. It is required to review and save it.” When I click on it it says “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page” and the plugin developer says “The issue is because the design options are disabled on your end by the theme developer. You can contact the theme developer and get rid of the code used to disable it from the theme to get it back.” So how do I enable it in the theme? I have the latest version of the theme and the plugin.

Is it possible to shuffle the order of the team members on a page? When I drop the BORNTOGIVE Team element into a page, it seems to use the order in which the team member was created in the team section. It can’t be changed without deleting the team member and re-adding them in the order I want.

We have been using your theme for a while now and have the following questions: 1. We have noticed that if we activate the child theme, RTL is no longer supported. Is there a fix to this? 2. We are using WPCharitable plugin for the campaigns/causes which does come with User profile page where profile, password can be managed. Also a page for “My Donations” is there to see all past donations by a user and donations current status.
