One more question though. I am assuming that “x” amount of users can register and are able to modify their profiles. They can only then submit the recipes once logged in? Also can i verify the recipes before they are posted?

Yes, unlimited number of users can register if you enable the option in the WordPress dashboard. Then they can modify their profiles.
There is an option to choose if the recipe submission is allowed only for registered users or for everyone.
Yes, you can check the recipes before publishing.

You can use widget areas to insert ads easily as widgets. There are many widget areas to choose from You can also insert ads inside the post and recipe content with a third-party plugin.

The reason for the external recipes not showing all the fields is that they would take so much space in the recipe card.
Also if the recipe links to another site, I don’t think you should list the ingredients on your site. (The ingredient count is automatically counted from the ingredients lists.)
There could be an option the enable the fields anyway. It would be difficult to add at this point, but I could consider it.
Thanks a lot for your reply. Still like the idea having that option to show them all together, but you´re right, maybe this would be too much for the users eye. So dont bother 
. Did I missed it, or is there a function to disable the heart icons on thumbs? Or at least to hide those zero´s 0 before them? Overall, this would look much cleaner. Have a great day
There is no another option other than disabling the Favorites plugin.
Heart icon is there to allow adding the recipe to user’s favorites, and it is displayed if the Favorites plugin is enabled.
Also the number is displayed, so it can be updated without a page reload when the user adds a recipe to favorites. And of course to display the total favorites count for the recipe. I don’t see an issue with the zero being there

I bought your theme and I’m getting on with it just fine. After building my website (I’m a beginner and can’t speak PHP or CSS), I come in two Points to my limits and I hope that you can help me!
1) In the recipe there are the fields for preparation time (PrepTime), cooking time (Cook Time) and portions (Servings) Now there are situations in which the preparation time takes several days (e.g. marinating) and there are situations in which you have to make a little additional information about portions. Unfortunately, this is not possible due to the field format! Example: Prep Time – 2880min / I should be able to enter “2 Days”
If necessary, could you provide me with code snippets in which I can adapt the format in “String”? I have the plugin snippets that I could use to insert this

If no user is logged in and the cache has been emptied, the first recipe that I look at is always displayed in “edit mode”

This theme does not have a template for AMP stories, so it’s not even included in the imported data. I don’t really know why this warning is shown. Maybe it’s a bug in the plugin handling the import (One Click Demo Import).
Were the recipes, posts etc imported successfully? If this is the case I would just ignore the warnings

I only have problem with the single recipe page layout. Recipe meta like category and time required are something important and should have been displayed on top of the page. How easy it is to modify the layout for such a change and also if I want to have a sidebar layout?
I know basic php and modification, can this be achieved easily by means of custom layouts and child theme without modifying too much core from future updates?

The posts displayed in the widget are cached for 24 hours, but the cache should clear when you change the widget options. I just tested on the demo site, and it worked like it should.
You can clear the cache by yourself. Install the plugin Transients Manager: https://wordpress.org/plugins/transients-manager/
Activate the plugin and go to Tools > Transients. Delete items that start with “rcps_widget_related_recipes_to_”. You can use the search to filter the results.
So, actually the problem is not that the widget does not show 5 recipes like on your image. The problem is that it is not showing more than 10 recipes?

Long time fan of these theme! Just realized I’m way behind in updating versions of it, when I go to upload the new zip file Wordpress says that the destination folder already exists. I know The reason for this is because I already have a theme folder on my server with the same name as the folder inside your zip file, but I don’t know what to do about it. I’m worried if I remove the theme I’ll break my site. I must be missing something, I’m sure it’s much easier to update than I’m making it out to be. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Hi it looks like (with the last update), if you are using a child page of this theme, the dropdown menu on a mobile phone breaks. The dropdown is shown with all values underneath. You can just upload a bigger logo. The size of the logo is not set with CSS
However, you can set the maximum dimensions of the uploaded image at Settings > Media > Thumbnail size.

Did you upload the image again after changing the setting? This is required for the setting to take effect.
Also do not crop the image when you upload it at Appearance > Customize > Site Identity.

Hello, this theme looks very interesting. However I have some questions:
1. On the ‘all recipes page’, is it possible to set the recipe thumbnails larger, while decreasing the number of columns per single row?
Take a look at this sites: http://www.tastespotting.com/ or https://foodgawker.com/ In my opinion it looks much cleaner when the image is bigger.
2. From the ‘all recipes page’, by clicking on a recipe thumbnail, instead of opening a local recipe post, can i redirect it to another website, where the original recipe resides?
3. ‘Load more’ button on the ‘all recipes page’. Do you plan to build feature, which would automatically load more recipes while the user scrolls to the bottom of the page?
