Hi, guys. I am really glad you are working on your theme’s performance right now. I am sure we will see great loading time improvements. But there’s one thing which can’t be improved right now. It’s HTML complexity introduced by pagebuilders.
It is well known that most pagebuilders produce too much DOM elements and code can be much cleaner. In this respect Gutenberg is doing much better job (you can see some tests here – https://gutenberghub.com/gutenberg-vs-elementor-html-bloat/). Also considering how much effort is being put into Gutenberg we can expect other pagebuilders to go down the hill sooner or later. Actually it’s already happened with WPBakery which is getting only cosmetic fixes, no real product improvements.
So I advice you to have a Gutenberg version of your theme by the time Wordpress includes full site editing into the core (expected to happen in WP 5.8 or 5.9 not later than in the end of current year). Some performance-oriented themes (e.g. Astra) already did that move and their demos built wirh Gutenberg are faster than same pages built with Elementor or other pagebuilders.

Yes, Gutenberg is one of the main builders for WordPress in the future. But currently, it doesn’t have all the features like Elementor for example. That is why it is not possible to build a similar demo for our theme as we made with WPBakery and Elementor. And we believe that Elementor will never stop improving and updating as WPBakery did. But anyway, we will investigate all the possibilities of Gutenberg and hope to release a new dedicated update sometime. We can’t guarantee that it will happen this year though.

Thank you for your reply. What you write here makes sense, Gutenberg is indeed less user-friendly than Elementor at the moment. I just would like to draw your attention to the fact that Gutenberg is evolving really fast and within a year or two it should be in the state where it can be used by anybody. And when it happens Gutenberg will dominate all the 3rd party pagebuilders.

Faced a problem in the subject, shop, variable goods. For example – there is a product with 3 variations (size, configuration and color), one size for all, 2 colors and 2 configurations. One of the colors does not have one configuration, and when you press the selection and you see two options, then choosing the option where the color does not have a configuration, at first it is active, and when it is clicked on it, it immediately ceases to be active. Logically, when switching the configuration, it should immediately show the color active or not for the order.

Hello, I’ve seen that you propose now Elementor as a page builder. I plan to use WPBakery. Is there a risk that in 2-3 years you stop update WPBakery to go full with Elementor ? Other question, is it possible to filter several elements in the same time : ideally i’d like to be able to filter “Attribute” , “tag” and “category” , is it possible with your theme? Thank you for your questions.
We will never drop WPBakery page builder support. Both builders will be maintained and get all the updates. WooCommerce doesn’t allow filtering by tags and categories. So as a workaround, you can create product attributes for tags and categories as well. In the current configuration, you are able to filter either by attribute + category or by attribute + tag.

One thing I’ve been struggling with since forever and is really a big problem for me (on any of these wordpress themes) is the ability to add a free sample of a product.
I have done this before by creating a sample product etc but it’s not the same experience for the customer when they can just click an “Add Sample” button and it go straight to their cart.
There was a plugin that used to do a superb job of this but they stopped supporting it and it broke, causing me much sorrow.
I feel if you could add this functionality to the theme it would greatly increase customer onboarding and satisfaction as all of the other solutions I have tried, simply don’t work.
Are there any plans to include this feature in any future updates? Or can you offer a solution to a problem that has been a thorn in my side for years?????

I sell fabrics, people ask me every day if I can send them a sample cutting of up to 6 different fabrics to help them make a choice prior to purchase
They need a button at the side of the add to cart button which just adds a sample product of the chosen fabric to the cart without them having to go through the whole site collecting the fabrics details and sending them to me in an email or something. They click the samples that they like and go through the checkout.
I am currently using a plugin (Free Product Sample for WooCommerce) but it’s not perfect, the button is out of alignment and the CSS changes I make don’t really seem to be that effective.

I recently discovered that you developed an alternative variation images storage. This is really great! I have a few questions regarding the topic: 1) should I expect old data to be converted? After changing option value to “Variations products meta” nothing changed in my DB. Neither opening product page, nor exporting product data affected this. Variation images are still stored in parent product meta. 2) do you advice activating this option without respect to data import/export need? Have you tested it’s performance, is it slower than old method on frontend?

1. There is no automatic transfer mechanism, unfortunately.
2. It has approximately the same performance. If you don’t need to import/export data then there is no reason to switch between options.

Hello! When I set a background color for a menu on mobile, that background color is displayed on my computer as well. I would like the style settings to be separate for the phone and for the computer.
Also, when I set the menu to be sticky, this setting is set for the phone and computer. It would be nice if the sticky title could be set for the phone and the computer separately.

Yes, the header row is the same for both mobile and desktop devices. That is why all row settings like color and sticky are applied globally. The only way to change this is to write some custom CSS code to change it for mobile devices for example.

I have a simple question. I see I can set an order from the list for products grid/carousel block, but my question is:
Is there a way to set a custom order for products in the carousel? Like decide which is the first product, the second and so on? because I could change date or menu item, but this reflects in other carousels also. It would be great to set a custom order for each block, is there such an option or way to do it?
