the updated layers are in the layerswp-2 folder . How to correctly replace the updated layerswp-2? shall I rename to folder to layesrswp as is in the directory and overwrite the whole folder or shall I overwrite the files only that in the folder ?
You can delete the old version of Layers and rename layerswp-2 to layerswp. Or you can overwrite all files, this is also possible.
Hello, your scrollex theme is great! I seem to be having an issue specifically with the load time for the main image background on the top of the website. It takes an awfully long time to load before it shows up, but on android and desktop computers it loads nice and fast. Is there anything I can do to fix this issue? I currently have a video background set for desktop and have set the alternative image for mobile. tiltentertainment.com
You are now have video on mobile. But your page contains HTML errors. This can cause problems depending on the browser version. Most likely, either incorrect HTML code was inserted manually or it is an incorrect plugin. Try disabling all plugins.

So the errors were not caused by the plugin. Perhaps HTML code was manually inserted into the page and this led to a violation of the HTML structure. Try to create a new page and check it out as well.
All i did was import the dummy data from the template, i really didn’t manually customize much. It’s a one page theme though, I can’t really create a new page

You can create additional pages. Create to check if this problem will be on the new page. Create from any preset that is marked as Page Only (Layout 1: Page Only … Layout 7: Page Only) so that the site settings are not reset. Or just create a blank page and add widgets to it.

I think the problem is with the content of the page. Try to make the same background in the new page, if it works fine, then you need to remove elements from your page that break the page layout. Most likely they were inserted as HTML code manually or using third-party plugins.
hi! i have a problem installing the theme. I’m on a vergin Wordpress site, I first uploaded layerswp through ftp, then strollex, and activated it. it looked fine so I started doing some customization when I saw shortcodes were not working. i realized I had to install the required plugins. when I did, this error occurred, and the site was not working anymore.

Hopefully the problem will be fixed by the plugin developer. Not everyone has this error. I have not this error on my test server. This plugin is only needed for the contact form. If you do not activate it, then a shortcode will be displayed instead of the contact form. You can install any other plugin for the contact form and replace the shortcode.

The theme is optimized like any other theme. Loading speed mainly depends on the number and size of images and the amount of content. To speed up your site, you can use WordPress plugins to cache pages and optimize images. You can also reduce the number of large images and split large pages into multiple pages. I also recommend using browser tools to view the load times of page elements.
Hello, we have a problem with the video background on the iphone/ipad. It isn’t loading [alternative image is also not shown – jest the black background] – although everything seems fine on the desktop and android. Can you help us with the solution?
So that I can tell why the alternative image is not showing I need to see the page. Most likely, the URL of the image is incorrect or it cannot be loaded. Perhaps you have a message in the browser console about this.
Background video on mobile devices is only supported for self hosted video (vide from file). Select the Video File as Type and specify the URL instead of the ID in the SX Background Video options.

Your page has the wrong HTML structure. It looks like you manually entered HTML code into the content of the page or it is the result of some plugin. Broken pages may not open correctly depending on the browser version. Try disabling all plugins and creating a blank page with the same background. If it is displayed normally, then this is the case. In any case, there should be no errors on the page. Warnings can be ignored, but Errors should be fixed.

Make sure you have the latest version of Skrollex and the version of Layers which specified in the current Skrollex documentation. The theme has been tested and works ok with PHP 7.3 and 7.4. Debug messages are possible, which can be disabled in PHP settings or ignored. If the display of the page is broken, then this may be due to the fact that the settings are set to display debug messages in the front-end. I recommend showing them only in the log file or turning them off. I think this will solve the issue.

You can transfer web site as it described in the WordPress documentation. https://wordpress.org/support/article/moving-wordpress/ Pay attention to information about issues with data serialization. There may be problems in WordPress if URLs have been modified in ways other than those described in this documentation. I usually use WP-CLI to replace addresses, but you can use any three tools described in the documentation.Unfortunately, in WordPress, website transfer is not an easy procedure.

I’m trying to install the Skrollex theme. But the whole site “crashes” (I get an empty page with just an error) after I activate the required plugin “Contact Form 7”. The error in german: “Es gab einen kritischen Fehler auf deiner Website. Bitte überprüfe den Posteingang deiner Website-Administrator-E-Mail-Adresse für weitere Anweisungen.”, saying sonething like “A critical error occured on your website…”. The only chance to get the whole site working again is deactivating the plugin on my admin site.
Is this a known issue? How can this be solved? Please help or the theme would be unusable.

This plugin is not mandatory, it is only used in the demo content for the contact form. You can use any other plugin for this purpose. You are the second user to have problems with this plugin. I will try to figure out what the problem is. Unfortunately I am not getting this error on my test server. Perhaps I will replace this plugin in the demo content with another one. If you do not activate this plugin and recreate the demo page using a preset, then you will see a shortcode instead of a contact form. You can replace it with shortcode of any other plugin that supports shortcods.
Also, if it’s not difficult for you, could you please give the full text of the error message? Look like you have not given all the text.
Hello – Loving this theme but just encountered an issue – Fatal Error when I tried to install required Plugin “Contact form 7”, I deleted the plugin through FileZilla and that resolved the error but then I reinstalled it and got the error again. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

I have checked on the latest updates, the plugin works ok. Perhaps the previous version was uninstalled incorrectly or the new one was installed incorrectly. The error is indeed related to this plugin, but the theme does not interact with the plugin in any way. The plugin is only required for the contact forms in demo content. Try asking the plugin developer about this error message.
If you do not activate this plugin, then everything will work, but you will not be able to insert such contact forms into the content as in the demo, but you can use any other plugin for this purpose. But this error indicates that there are some problems with the server configuration. Of course, it is desirable to resolve them, in order to avoid any other problems.
We migrated the template from our development server to the customer server. After the finished migration with updated database and links, the website displays only the logo and the rest of the page is white. If we go to Design > Customizer > Sophia template > the widgets we configured are gone. What should we do?
Thanks for the info. We replaced the url strings directly via the database. It doesnt worked. Only if we replaced the urls inside the options table under url, both entries. After that it worked, but some images was not laoding. We had to manually change the image url under customizer inside the sections. Even we used Velvet Blues plugin for string replacement. Is there a common solution for future migrations, to change all image urls automatic?
I have never used this plugin, I can’t say how well it works, but if you have already manually changed any addresses in the database, then using the plugin after that will most likely not solve the problem. I always migrate as described in the WordPress documentation at the link above and it always works fine. I’m using WP-CLI to replace the URL, but you can use any of the other tools listed in the WordPress documentation, I’m sure this will work. The problem is when you change the URL in the database to another one that has a different number of characters, you also need to change the digits in the serialization data. If the URL is stored serialized. Therefore, you shouldn’t change URLs directly. I think that the plugin you used should do this correctly, but if you have already changed something manually, then using automatic tools after that will most likely not fix the error.

Wow, this theme is incredible. I have just finished my partner’s website at https://makeitcommunications.com/. The only issue I have is that the column title is overlapping words at lower resolutions. This is probably my fault in changing font size in custom css for class .heading-col-title and not in media css but I am not sure how to fix it up.
Ah I found the issue, no worries. I had set line-height to 0px on H5 for some reason that I have forgotten.
The issue is still happening on mobile though and also how do I remove logo from mobile devices

I tested the theme in this configuration but didn’t get this problem. Try disabling all plugins.

and I installed those to discard if not being installed was the cause of the problem
If the recommended plugins are updated to the latest versions, this will not cause a problem. Perhaps there are some restrictions on your hosting. There is not enough memory or some resources are not available. Most likely, some more messages should appear in the error log during this operation. Also check the error messages in the browser console. In Chrome press Command + Option + J (Mac) or Control + Shift + J (Windows)
Hosting is fine, 256 MB Ram per process, nothing else on error log, I’ll install on a fresh wordpress again and can i send you loin details so you can identify the issue?
It will not be correctly if I log into your system. Please check your browser console as well. If you administer the server yourself, try increasing the PHP limits or ask you hosting provider how to do it. Also check your MySQL configuration and database error log. I have tested this operation on your PHP and WordPress versions and it works correctly. Many users are used the theme on PHP 7.4 and the latest version of WordPress.

This theme relies on Layers to work. I know that the company that created Layers went out of business. If we use this theme (and purchase support), what kind of reliability will Layers have? Will you be updating layers? Will you provide support if something goes wrong with Layers?

Of course I support Layers. The documentation provides a link to the fixed version of Layers in this version problems are fixed if they occur. All theme updates will be tested with this version of Layers.

It depends on how you inserted the mp3. There are no mp3 widgets in the theme, you may be using some third party plugin or widget. If you give a link to the page, it will be clearer for me and maybe I will tell you what needs to be done.
