Now I want to add video instead of image in the “WE ARE” section.

You can insert a new SX Section and delete the unwanted one. In this new one, insert as many columns as you need. Then, in any input field, paste the embed code, which you can take from a video on YouTube or on another hosting. To insert embed code, you need to switch the input field to source mode via button on toolbar. Depending on the embed code you get, you may need to change size of video.
As alternative, you can change existing SX Section.
I want to add video in background. How can I set it ?

If you create a new page in Layers, then the title is not displayed. If you create a page in the standard WordPress editor, the title is displayed, but you can hide it using the plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/yellow-pencil-visual-theme-customizer/
Select “Extra / Display: none” in this plugin for title.
Alignment also depends on how you created the page and where and how you enter text. Usually, the options for text alignment are visible in the interface of the editor or the element you are entering text into. If there is no such option, then you can use the same plugin that I linked to above.
You can duplicate pages created in the standard editor using the editor’s copy/paste functions. Pages created by Layers do not have this feature. There are plugins for duplicating pages, but they may not work with Layers pages. Layers itself has a json export and import function, but it is only available if you open the Layers Page in the old WordPress editor. In order to open a page in the old WordPress editor, you need to temporarily disable the new editor. The new editor is called Gutenberg. The repository has plugins to disable the Gutenberg editor.
Please be aware that the theme is not tested with third party plugins, but I have previously worked with the plugin I linked to and it worked fine. Plugins that are designed to edit content usually work fine in Layers pages if they work as shortcodes. If the page is created in the standard Gutenberg editor, then it is better to use plugins that work like blocks.

Of course you can. You can create as many additional pages as you like. You can create pages via Layers or via usual WordPress editor, but keep in mind that you need to edit the page with the same editor in which it was created.

Hi, after installing the theme, which I am happy about so far, all my shortcodes show as text instead of responsive items. For examples Banners = [sx_banner colors=”M” overlay=”Warning” title=”Parallax” subtitle=”Effects”]Highly Optimized Smooth Animations[/sx_banner] All buttons etc… just show as text. Am I missing something?
If you activate Skrollex, the notification about the need to activate necessary plugins will be displayed on top of WordPress admin panel. Please activate required plugins.

Make sure you have the latest version of Skrollex and the fixed version of Layers downloaded from the link in the current Skrollex documentation.
This problem can be if you have a very old version of Skrollex installed on a new WordPress or Layers downloaded by the link in the old Skrollex documentation
OK. I have improved my “gallery” by using the sx section template. thank you. BUT. is there any way to improve spacing between the sections? it’s mostly fine on my laptop but on the mobile there’s lots of space. Thanks for the help today.

HI. Sorry but. I purchased yellow pencil and everytime I change something it screws up my whole site. 3 times it was just easier to delete and start over. Can someone please tell me how to center a gallery? And why are things nicely spaced on my desktop but on my mobile they are all spread out. Also – there always isn’t an option to set background images to auto resize between devices OR IS THERE? I would like to use some of the parallax features but they end up distorted.

If I understand you correctly, you bought another plugin from ThemeFores, I never used it.
Your gallery looks like it was created using standard WordPress widget. This widget has only basic settings. It’s better to create a gallery using the SX Section as it’s done in the demo and in the presets. In the Team or Our Work sections. SX Section added to WordPress by theme and looks better.
Or, may be it is best way, try using plugins for gallery from the free WordPress repository.
Those plugins that work as shortcodes will work in the Layers pages. But you can also create pages in the theme using the standard WordPress editor. In such pages, you can use plugins that work as Blocks.
well. it wasn’t free. I got it because i could easily change fonts. I used the gallery from the layers>customize menue. OR SHOULD I ONLY BE USEING items with the little layers icon? does that mean the rest of the stuff is from wordpress?
Widgets that start with SX are added by the theme, others are either standard WordPress widgets or Layers widgets or widgets from other plugins. You can use any, but all demos are made only on SX widgets and these widgets are adapted to the theme design. Other widgets usually require some extra tweaking to make them look good.
If the SX widgets don’t work, then it’s best to look for plugins in the WordPress repository that allow you to do what you want. And usualy good plugins work like shorcodes (can be used in any pages) or like blocks (can be used only in pages which created via standard editor). Plugins that act as widgets usually very simple.
Hi, I recently installed the Scrolled theme and I love it (www.caltechforce.com). However, when trying to customize colors as in the video tutorial the “3 gears icon” does not appear and so I can’t get to the custom colors palettes.
I don’t know if this is something with WP, the Theme, or I’m doing something wrong.

Login as admin, then open site. You should see admin bar on top and gear icon on left. If no, in most cases it is related with permission restrictions on your server. Check that you have permissions to change theme files. You should have menu Appearance / Theme Editor in the admin panel if you have this permissions. Also, try to disable all third party plugins. But keep in mind that if the rights were disabled by a plugin, they may not be restored after deactivating or uninstalling the plugin, as the record of the user’s rights remains in the WordPress database.
I am having a repeated issue with this theme after a year of no issues. I have attempted to update the theme but when it goes to 2.9 it has critical issues. I attempted to update PHP to 8.0 and it continues to fail and say that Layers is missing when it has always been installed. I have tried installing a fresh file and it still gives this error. Please see below the Error message as this continues to happen over and over:

Download Layers from the link in the theme’s current documentation and reinstall. Make sure you only have one version of Layers installed and that it is installed correctly and can be activated in the list of available themes.

In SX Section, you can’t set gaps for mobile devices. Video scaling depends on how you pasted it and where, but it usually works the same as with pictures. If the size is set in percentage or not set at all, then the video is scaled, if in pixels, then it is not scaled. The best way to embed videos is with the embed code from video hosting. Also, in those cases where you need to set styles that cannot be set using theme functions, you can try using plugins like this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/yellow-pencil-visual-theme-customizer/
Hello, Under the “WORK” section, what if I have over 50 images to display? What is the maximum number of images I can display under WORK section, and would there be a pagination if it goes over a certain number of images?
Or, is there a way to make a separate WORK page, if I click on the WORK menu on top?

You have asked a question in the section for WordPress version of Skrollex, but you are not showing up as a buyer. Please specify which version you have. In short, there is no automatic pagination, but you can create additional pages or use plugins if you have WordPress version.

I believe we have permissions correct and necessary plugins/software versions installed. Any ideas to get past this?
Try to disable all plugins. Check if you have “Appearance/Theme Editor” in the admin panel. It is mean that you have permissions to edit theme files.
The parent theme could not be found. You will need to install the parent theme, layerswp, before you can use this child theme.

Hello, just launched my site. Skrollex looks amazing on a desktop. I have an Iphone and the logo is being cut off (you can see this at the very top of the page where our image overlays the photo) when holding the phone vertically, could you take a look? https://consciousheartintegration.com/.
FYI, here is the source code which I figured would adjust for the phone width, is this correct? Any smaller and it is too small for a desktop.
Also, separate question: on a phone some of the columns are word wrapping words that should not be word wrapped in the WHAT IS CHI section. For example, Emotional Regulation, Body Integration, and Intellectual Curiosity are all wrapping the words – how do I get it to not do this for each of those sections when holding the phone vertically?

It allows you to control the display of elements in cases where this cannot be done using the theme options and its widgets. For example, your you can change font size for titles.
