For some reason the theme will not load. All I get is a blank header with a border and my menu/logo showing but nothing loads! No images or even the sections I have created. I’ve not added or removed any plugins. So I’m very confused. I went through all of my plugins, turning them off and on to see if they’d become incompatible. Nothing helped. I’ve even had my hosting revert back my site to a couple of days ago and it didn’t help. I’ve had zero issue with this theme until now and I do really like it. Can you please take a look at it? I don’t know how to give my information to my site without making it public…
Well I paid for my hosting site to kick back my site to a previous version. I still cannot change any of the colors. I will be in the customizer, and I will click the gears on the front page and it will not open the panel I used to have access to. Is this an issue with the theme? I’ve not added anything other than images to the sites. No plugins have been removed or added. I’m just trying to update my site…
Sorry for the delay in responding, but you haven’t provided enough information. If the feature isn’t working, there should be messages in the server error log if logging is enabled, or messages in the browser console. Most often, such issues are related to access permissions settings or server-side restrictions. If you provide error messages from the browser console and the server log, I can provide more precise information. Ask your hosting provider where the server logs are located and make sure logging is enabled.

Hi, is there a way that I can bypass the caching for my fluentform in Skrollex? The current form https://aifluence.biz is not working properly unless the cache is fully flushed. I would like it to bypass the form. If this is not possible, is there a way I can use the fluent form widget in a column section and replace the form shortcode in the column?
I am not familiar with this plugin and Skrollex does not have caching functions, this is done by some other extension. You most likely need to change the caching settings in the tool you use for caching or in fluentform.

If you log in as an administrator and then open the front-end, you will see a gear on the left. Click on it and a panel for editing the color scheme will open. The loading background is Color O.

When you change the color scheme, it applies to all pages.
How do I link the site map features in the footer to the appropriate layers anchors? I just want the links to jump to the specific site area. Nothing special.
Also, is it possible to hide a layer and work on it while the site is up and published? So that end users don’t see it until ready?

You can use a regular anchor link anywhere, like:
http://domain.com/some-page#some-anchor-id
To make it link to a section on that page in SX Section you can set:
Anchor ID for links: some-anchor-id
To hide section you can in SX Section click “Advanced” on the right toolbar. Then add to CUSTOM CLASS: hidden

OK, I’ve added a widget for a testimonial slider to the page however it is displaying as black text on black background. It looks like the theme is controlling the background. How can I manage the background for this widget?

If you are using a widget that is included in the theme, it does not support this. You can use plugins for this. Keep in mind that in the theme you can create pages using Layers or using the standard editor. If you want to use third-party plugins to design a page, it is better to create a page using the standard editor, since most plugins are compatible with the standard editor and may not work with the Layers editor.

This is a shortcode that works like a regular WordPress shortcode. Maybe I didn’t quite understand your question, but if you can’t insert a plus, it’s probably being treated as a special character. Try inserting %2B instead.

Hi, I’m using the Skrollex theme on my site, and I’ve added a large amount of custom CSS in the “Additional CSS” section. I noticed that Skrollex appears to be a child or inherits from the Layers theme. Could you please confirm: If the parent (Layers) or Skrollex itself gets updated, is there any risk of losing or overriding the custom CSS I’ve added? If so, I will consider creating a proper child theme to protect those customizations. Thank you!
Updating themes does not affect settings. Your CSS is stored in the WordPress database. When you update Skrollex or Layers, only the downloaded theme files are updated.
Hello, I would like purchase layer pro in order to change logo’size. But when your purchase page redirect to elementor download. They are not made specifically for the shop, but you can use WordPress plugins for this. Since the theme is not tested with third-party plugins, I cannot recommend which one will work best for your purposes.

Hi, we have some trouble with your theme, as for a while (don´t now since when unfortunately) the customizer won´t load the SX sections.
I am able to change the Menue, the logo etc. but when I try to edit the Page itself all the sections are displayed with a spinning loader and nothing happens.

We use only a few extra PlugIns (duplicator Pro, Wordfence, DSGVO All in one PRO and useanyfont)
I hope you can help with this issue. Btw. is there a possibility to have someone make some optimisation (as loading times are quite high) for our page? (of course as a paied job…)

C PHP 8 should not be a problem, Skrollex is tested with the latest versions of PHP and WordPress.
Also try to disable all plugins.
Also, remove all unnecessary Layers pages, including those from the trash. It is better to create many pages in the standard editor, as the Layers editor works slowly in the administrative part if you have many pages created in it, even if they are not used.
After a clean install it works again, but now in the mobile version the protfolio just shows the newly added projects, not th old ones. I can open a project and click on next and see all of them, but on the HP onlythe newly added ones are visible.

Portfolio was missing thumbnails from WPcontent so igrnore that.
For selfhosted video, the theme tries to determine whether it can be displayed on the device or not and automatically shows the video or alternative image, regardless of what device it is. Unfortunately, this may not always work correctly. I recommend hosting videos on YouTube. In this case, an alternative image will always be displayed on the mobile device.
The message about Demo Mode is most likely related to caching in the browser. I think that if you clear the browser cache, it should disappear.
With the portfolio, I did not quite understand what is happening, but it is also possible that this is related to caching in the browser or on the server. Try clearing the cache both in the browser and on the server,
Also try disabling all plugins, or plugins for optimization, since they most often cause problems with displaying content.
I’m running Skrollex Version: 1.3.3. Haven’t needed to update site in awhile but understandably, a lot of functions aren’t working. If I purchase latest version and install on WP, will it update using my existing content and layout or will I need to completely rebuild everything? thanks
It is also advisable to update WordPress to the latest version. And if you install the latest version of Skrollex, you need to install the version of Layers, which can be downloaded from the link in the current Skrollex documentation.
