Is there a way for Admins to “Delete Post” on activity feed / profile posts other than in the Admin CP?
Hi game-invaders, sadly, the BuddyPress plugin doesn’t have any moderation tools, so this is not possible at the moment. You’ll need to grant people wp backend permissions. If BP add a feature like this, we’ll integrate it to the theme. Best Regards!
With the base BP admins / editors are able to delete activity feed posts I believe.
There’s an option, but it’s with WP admins, not BP. We’ll pass this to our dev team for the next update!
Is there a way of adding a “Delete Post” to posts on the activity feed / member profile posts?
Right now the only way to remove them is inside the Admin CP and my Moderators need a way of deleting any potential unwanted Profile / Activity posts

Hi. This is a great theme! Thank you. I am having issues with the Register function. I can’t seem to edit it. It only gives me editing options for the Login function.
I am trying to link the register button to a form with email, password, confirm password etc
I have enabled subscribers etc in settings.

The “Customizer” -> “Vikinger Settings” -> “Login – Register” options apply both for the login, register and activation pages.
The theme is using the BuddyPress Register and Activation pages, to add fields to the register page you have to either add new fields to the (Primary) field group or assign individual fields by using the new “Signups” option that BuddyPress included in all profile fields in their latest update (v8.0.0).
Profile fields can be edited from the WordPress backend -> “Users” -> “Profile Fields”.

Sorry, GamiPress doesn’t have that option.
If that membership sub thing is coming someday, its be amazing if there was function to add Best subsmembers name in some where, like twitch shows latest subs and bits!
We don’t have ETA on memberships yet because, as you can see in the changelog, we still have lots of other updates requests, like edit post text or moderation tools, so it may be a while until the integration. Best Regards

Blog post will remain from back panel due to the functionalities and updating features that the WP post editor gives. Remember that if you don’t want to grant access to the complete backend features to someone, remember that you also have the option to give users the role of “Editor”, “Author”, or “Contributor” https://wordpress.org/support/article/roles-and-capabilities/ which allows them to write blog posts from the backend but “locks” some of the other features.
were using the verified add on with vikinger but if a user is automatically set to our wordpress verified role using the setting “Automatically grant verified badge to the following roles:” the verified badge does not show up for the user. This is bad because our membership software automatically assigns our wordpress verfied role when the user purchases our verified add on.

On the ranks page for gamipress it is showing all earners as default. How can I turn this off as it slows the page load down due to 1500+ users

Ok so I installed the theme. Followed the steps to a T. Now I got the registration button to show up but when clicking it I get sent to the “404 page not found” and using Elementor to edit the landing page sends me to a “404 page not found” page as well. I can’t even view the debug menu.

I was wondering if I could put in a feature request for a layered mobile menu?
At the moment everything is one giant list and when logged in it’ll show the header menu, features menu, side menu as well as the profile dropdown and that could easily rack up to 20-25 items. If it was broken down though: it would only be 4-5 tab that would open up to various navigation items and really improve ux.

If a user posts a twitch link on their activity stream they get this error: Twitch embed error message:[NoParent] parent query string value was not specified

ok i got that thanks. But what about the issue with posting a twitch link into activity stream? it pops up an error about not having the parent
That’s because the theme doesn’t have integration with Twitch at the moment so it doesn’t embed like a youtube video. If we add this with a future update, we’ll let you know. Best Regards
thats fine but how do i make it not try and add an iframe when the users pastes a twitch.tv/ url into the activity feed?

The WP version doesn’t have a sidebar chat or Twitch box, you can corroborate this in the live preview https://themeforest.net/item/vikinger-buddypress-and-gamipress-social-community/28612259 The HTML and WP are both different versions, each with different features and are in different categories. Hi we got the theme and I have to say its blown us away! just one thing and i’m not sure if its theme related but when we installed buddypress we are getting about a 12 second load time on the activity feed that we have set to be the home page. Any ideas would be great thanks!

i thought the same but we are using a vps with 4gb ram and 2 core cpu with ssd drives and 2tb bandwidth. I tried our old theme (buddyboss platform) and the activity feed loads instantly. Not sure what else I can do
ok migh thave sorted, I just installed a fresh wordpress to a test folder and added the theme and plugins and it works fine. Think i’ll have to look into starting fresh on main site. Again great theme love it!
