I’ve updated my website with the latest version but now my site says critical error. I’ve had my server guy investigate the issue and they think it’s theme related. Can you take a look?

It could be a matter of insufficient resources, could you please check this guide https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-requirements/ The requirements are the same for both our themes basically. Such issue could happen if for example the wp-memory is low for example. However, if everything is set correctly then the problem may be elsewhere. So I suggest sending us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with a link to the website, admin login, also cPanel will be needed most likely. Let us know and we will take a look as soon as possible.

The Newsmag theme doesn’t have infinite load for posts unfortunately, if that is what you are asking. The Newsmag theme has a few top bar styles https://i.imgur.com/OsivNen.png The style can be selected in the theme panel, header settings.

Regarding the ads, an exception would be in the post content, where there is a maximum of 5 ads. Other than this however, there are no limits to how many ads can be displayed. You can place as many ad boxes as needed, each with their own ads as well.

Is the current version of the theme compatible with Wordpress 5.8?
Hi illusio26 , We tested the current Newspaper version (N11), and there are few elements that are not working correctly (for example in widgets section), so, the WordPress v5.8 can be use with Newspaper v11, but can be some small problems. 1. The “By” before author, I want to change it to something like the pen stuff ✍️
2. I want modified date to show as “Updated On”
3. Can I create a custom sidebar for each post where I can put the post image and other details just like how Wikipedia does their own
4. I want my date to display as “ago” just like how it’s displaying in your comment section e.g 5 days ago

3. A sidebar can be created and set for each post if needed. A widget sidebar can be created in a few places, for example https://forum.tagdiv.com/sidebars-tutorial/ In a widget sidebar you can enter widgets, from the available ones.
4. In the Newsmag theme this is not possible unfortunately. It can display the publish date and modified date, but not a time ago format for the publish date.

I want my post modified date to show as “updated on” and not “modified”. Anytime I go to the theme editor to make changes, it does not reflect on my website

Hi guys, big fan of your theme. The recent update does seem to cause issues with Yoast. It won’t let me access SEO, Readability, Social, Schema tabs when editing individual posts. There seems to be a conflict in the code.
This was not the case before Version 5. Is this a known issue?

It seems to work fine when I test it using the latest theme and Yoast versions. All the Yoast provided options can be accessed and they work fine, for example https://i.imgur.com/XcRjYwB.png If there was a conflict, then it should not work for me as well, but it works. Does it work for you if perhaps you deactivate all plugins except theme plugins and Yoast? It could be done with some CSS. The Newsmag theme header styles are predefined, they are meant to look in a specific way. But with CSS that can be customized if needed. These are possible same as with the Newspaper theme mostly, except for the PRO demos and templates part. Newsmag also has ad boxes, can display ads on mobile, and has a slide element for posts with autoplay.
