hi, I have installed your wonderful theme and its truly amazing, great work! Now I’d like to add a link preview (preview image and text being displayed) to any qualifying URL that is pasted in the community / activity stream. There is already a plugin for that, called “Activity Link Preview for Buddypress” (https://wordpress.org/plugins/activity-link-preview-for-buddypress/), but unfortunately it doesn’t work with Vikinger. I’d be willing to pay for a required customization job to make it work on my site, and I think this is a vital element to really get the maximum out of the Vikinger theme. Hi, I bought this theme a few days ago and I’m loving it but I have some issues and questions: I’m testing it on localhost and I can’t create new accounts; I can’t create pages with custom content using the Elementor; I need to know if the theme will work perfectly if I add new Wordpress plugins Thanks.
Hi vonbarme, yes, as you can see from other people, the theme works ok and people can create users without having issues. When preparing it to go live, we recommend you to do a clean install to start again to make sure that the things you’ve done don’t interfere with the setup (be sure to install the latest version of the theme!)
After that you first have to install and setup the theme you can do it following the docs: https://odindesignthemes.com/vikinger-theme-docs/ inside “Getting Started” – “How to Install” “Theme Setup” (this is an important step as you need to correctly customize the BuddyPress setting to make sure everything works OK). After that, check this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXEgduXEupk to import the demo content
Doing this things in order is very important for the process as failing to correctly setup BuddyPress may lead to errors or styling issues. If you install the latest version, you can see all steps in the “Getting Started” tab
Regarding Elementor, some pages, like the BuddyPress ones, cannot be customized by Elementor (BuddyPress doesn’t allow this), if you need to customize something you’ll need to do it via code. You can only use Elementor to edit pages created with Elementor (like the landing page or the testimonials) or create new pages.

Hello, when I am trying to edit many of the demo pages, I am getting the following error:
“Sorry, the content area was not found in your page. You must call “the_content” function in order for Elementor to work on this page.”

That’s really strange! BuddyPress sends activation emails for new users to “activate” the account. Please make sure that people are activating their accounts. Also, be sure to have BP correctly configured. Please be sure to follow all the steps in order from the “Getting Started” tab inside the theme, (this is an important step as you need to correctly customize the BuddyPress setting to make sure everything works OK)

Hi, I’m loving the look of theme and hope to purchase it soon. As there’s a lot of features to this theme, is there anyway of having a ticketing type of system integrated, or whether it’s possible with third-party plugins? Just in case I have users run into problems that I’m not aware of after installing it.

Hi GameReflect, thanks a lot! Sadly there’s no integration with moderation or ticketing plugins. The theme has a forum that, if you want, you can use it so people can open topics for bug reporting and things like that. Also, you have BuddyPress DMs system, where people can send you messages. For example; display the name ‘Administrator’ on my profile and on the member list so users will know who to contact if needed? Can’t see it on the demo. Thanks a lot.
There’s no option to display that. Only on forums or groups admins/mods/keymasters are shown: https://odindesignthemes.com/vikinger-theme/groups/cosplayers-of-the-world/ if you want, you can always ad (Admin) in front or after your name from the WP backend. Best Regards

I found that the paid membership pro plugin is integrated in the latest updated version. But the documentation and demo import are not ready yet. So are you planning on that? I asked becasue I get some trouble when configuring PMP, basically some register and payment problem. Going through your comments about a report system, I saw that you mentioned that you couldn’t find a free report system that covers what you want. Do you had a look at BuddyBoss Platform? Alternative, Block, Suspend, Report for BuddyPress would be an option and offers a free version + a paid one if the members want more features
