You can open the homepage’s widgets or page builder’s settings panel and just change the Thumbnail Size field (screenshot). The correct sizes are full, large, medium and video-featured

That changes the image resolution, the box always will be a 16×9 aspect ratio as you might know, but why 16×9? you could search on Google to find the right answer, 16×9 is recommended for a number of reasons.

The theme has used the default WordPress login page since version 3.4 as you might see in the demo, to enable the Register form (demo), you will need to navigate to Settings > General and enable the Membership option (screenshot).

Hi, it’s clear now that the site will use Wordpress default login but, it is confusing for me and specially for future members. To submit a video, you have to be registered to the site right? But when you open the register page (http://videotube.marstheme.com/register/), it shows User: demo and Password: demo. Below that is Username and Password. What if you are new to the site and you want to register, where do you go? There is not a link in that page to create an account. The page is assuming that a visitor is already a member.

In short, how can I remove that user demo, pass demo part?

and as an admin of the site, I tried using to register the admin credentials but it won’t log in.

That Register page is old and has been removed from the demo website, I’m wondering how did you know it? , I suggest that you use the default WP login page instead, You can enable the login menu (screenshot) at Appearance > Theme Options > Misc > Login Menu field.

To enable the default WP Register form (demo), you will need to navigate to Settings > General and enable the Membership option (screenshot).

I just bought your theme few days ago, that is where I got it, downloaded it. Can you check the files if what is is in download page is the new version?

I think you need to remove that Register page on your files so customers who bought it won’t get it and get confused with it.

Again, you have not answer the user: demo, pass: demo, on why are those showing on the login page? What does it do?

It’s the newest version, on the old Register page, you see the demo account info, you can edit the page and just remove the text (screenshot).

The demo account info will not appear on your default WP login page.

I also suggest that you use the default WP login page instead.

1. You could edit the form at wp-content/plugins/videotube-core/includes/class-shortcode.php file, however, I’m afraid the change will be lost if you update the plugin.

2. The image will be shown in a 16×9 aspect ratio.

Is there a way or a plugin to use to automatically use the thumbnail image used from youtube video and fit it in the 16×9 aspect ration? So it won’t look weird?

If I will just upload the image myself with 16×9 aspect ratio, I can do it but a lot of the sites using this theme have subscribers that do not have knowledge about how to resize an image to use just for thumbnail image. The bottome line, subscribers will not even submit videos.

I think the theme would need this update, this will be great for current and future buyers of the theme.

1. Unfortunately, the images will be cropped as explained, they do not appear as the original size for a number of reasons, it’s possible but the images would be stretched, if you wish, you can:

- Paste this code to the end of videotube/functions.php or videotube-child/functions.php file (recommended) if child theme is activated.

- Paste this CSS snippet to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS field.

- Set full for all available VideoTube widgets/builder blocks(screenshot).

2. Just navigate to Appearance > Widgets, if you updated to WordPress 5.8, you will see a new widget page, read more about Manage Widgets with Blocks

3. I suggest that you use the Widget Importer & Exporter plugin to import the example Widgets data, then you could adjust something as you wish.
