We have been using your theme for a few years now and absolutely LOVE it. However, as our site gets larger we are now having an issue with inodes as we intend moving the site over to a better performance server. This server does however have limitations on inodes.
Once looking into this we realised that your theme is generating between 20 and 30 thumbnails per image. Would you be able to assist in this regard?

Thank you for loving our theme! 
Most of thumbnails are defined by plugins. You can use the Stop Generating Unnecessary Thumbnails plugin and disable thumbnails which you don’t need. After that, you may need to regenerate thumbnails.

Actually, we have the product category filter ( as you said it is the post category ). When you click on the Filter on the Shop page , you will not see the product category filter. But we have added it into the left sidebar .
