I read that when activated with Booked, you can create tour products and then use the custom fields tab to add WooCommerce products to your booking forms. Can you tell me how to do this. I have appointments working. I need to change them to booking
Hi, yes the booking system is powered by the Booked plugin which is included with the Embark theme, it is auto-installed as part of the theme setup process, and it connects with WooCommerce for payments. By default in the plugin, it shows up in the admin area as “Appointments” but with the Embark theme, it should display as “Bookings”: https://cln.sh/9fT9zk
If it’s not showing like that, it could be due to language settings. Can you tell me what your language settings are in the main WordPress settings area?

I checked all the documentation but unable to locate the section where it explains where i can change the price per group to price per person. I intend to use booked for instant booking using variable pricing. Kindly help

Pre-sale question: Is it possible to put multiple type activities in the booking calendar? Lets say 3 different activities same day, different time.
Hi, yes there are a few options.
First you can create as many separate calendars as you like. Generally we would recommend a separate calendar for each tour or activity. Then there is an option to display a dropdown directly above the calendar to switch between the tours, such as the second example on this page: https://demo.themovation.com/embark/wine-beer-tours/elements/booked-calendar/
So that would be our main recommendation, but technically speaking if you prefer you can have different tours on the same calendar, and you can have a title/label for each time slot.

1. Yes, the booking system is mainly based around times. You can set a tour to be minutes or multiple hours, etc. It can start and end any time.
2. Yes, every day of the week can have a separate schedule, and specific dates can be different as well.

4. Yes the payments are setup through WooCommerce – the above example shows it as well.
5. Yes it is.
6. Yes there is an area to add custom fields. However this booking system is not designed for accomodations / nightly bookings. The booking system is mainly designed around time based bookings of minutes or hours.

The package widget can contain any content you like, it can be added anywhere, and can link to the individual Tour pages. The only feature that is not part of the package widget is the optional tour filter that appears above the tour grid.

We are having problems with our actual theme, on which we have built our project and developed our business model.
We would like to move to Embark, giving up as few options as possible… Please, let me know if your theme supports the items below reported:
1. Affiliate program for Partner;
2. Partner dashboard with privileges to insert and manage listings and orders;
3. User dashboard to consult his reservations and favourites;
4. Possibility to offer extra services (like an hotel stay) in tour package;
5. Min and Max numbers of participants for each tour;
6. Different status of the tour according with the availability (i.e.: 10 guests in total —> if 2 reservations is on: status “available”; if 8 reservations is on: “almost full”; …)
7. Waiting list for complete tour; 8. Different type of bookings: Instant bookings / Pending Approval Bookings / Booking cancellation options;
9. Different type of payments: Full Payment / Percentage Payment / Security Deposit / Only Service Fee / Full Payment Locally options;
10. iCal Synch for availability or maybe even better an XML connection for availability, price and more.

I have been using the Embark theme since 2017. It is a great and excellent theme. However I got a warning form one of security plugin about OptionTree Plugin as it has no any update since 02 years, it is considered abandoned. So, is it safe to use this plugin with my site with your theme?

That functionality is not directly built into the booking system, nor is it a standard feature in WooCommerce which the booking system uses for payments. However it should be possible by using a WooCommerce extension:

There is a one way sync tool included. It’s a ical feed. Works with Google Calendar.
We do have a product with our Bellevue theme that is a two way sync between AirBnb etc..
Great theme as I have been using it for the last 3 years.. Lately I am having problems with the `jquery migrate plugin` as it breaks the website. Is it still compatible with it? It seems that for some reason the Elementor admin page is not working as expected and it needs the `jquery migrate plugin`

1) Yes our theme supports booking through WooCommerce and you can use any payment option in WooCommerce.

4) Yes WPML is compatible. We have many customers who have used WPML.
5) The example in #2 is showing the Booked plugin which connects with WooCommerce. Or you could set it up to just use WooCommerce instead if you want.

The “Tours” item (including “All Tours”, “Add New”, “Tour Types”) in Wordpress dashboard does not appear when child theme is activated.
When i activate the main theme, the “Tours” item is visible. You can see that on a fresh Wordpress installation with the theme installer launched. I use last version of the theme and Wordpress and all plugins.
Please correct this problem as soon as possible because i can’t work on my website and i need child theme to make customizations.

Hi, our themes include a child theme option during the theme setup process, and if you use that included child theme, then there is no issue with the custom post type. As long as you don’t rename the child theme, there should be no issue. If you have renamed the child theme, just revert it back and it should be working well.
does it work with DOKAN
Hi, we have not specifically tested Dokan, but the theme does fully support WooCommerce, and my understanding is that Dokan uses the templates and features of WooCommerce – so I believe it should work well with Dokan.
I am Embark updated to the last version. In Demo site there are several options in drop-down menu in menu section “Tour”: single tour – sidebar form, single tour – single tour – full width etc.
Where can we get these type of pages in WP dashboard?
We don’t see pages with this layout in Templates or Pages sections.
