Thank you for the information. Very useful. When I upload a video (not embedding a video) I get an error like “the element id or id supplied is not valid” and the videos do not encode. My hosting provider said it may be something with the Streamtube core plugin?

To encode video file, you will need:

- FFmpeg is installed on your server.

- Activate the WP Video Encoder plugin and configure it (documentation).

Where did you see the error? could you capture a screenshot of the error?

- Why not? the video theme is not against the TOS of Google

- The theme supports a few sidebar areas (screenshot) that you can place any kind of ads as you wish, yes, the theme has a Content Bottom sidebar where you can place the ads below the video player.

- Honestly, the Adsense should appear fine but I’m not sure how it looks on both dark and light modes.

1. You will need a dedicated server or a VPS with Linux/Ubuntu OS, most shared hosting providers do not support FFmpeg, I found a topic of the Hostinger here, they do not support FFmpeg on their shared hosting.

2. I haven’t updated the documentation yet, will do it soon, the Google Ads is running on my live demo, did you see it? please note that you will not see the ads if you activate the Adblocker extension on the browser.

1. That is a great question, WordPress is written in PHP and unfortunately, we cannot build a live streaming system with just PHP and WordPress, it is impossible, you would need a live streaming platform instead of WordPress

If you have a live streaming video on Youtube, simply, you can embed it into WordPress.

2. It can, the theme supports getting Youtube video image automatically.

If you own a dedicated server or a VPS with FFmpeg installed, StreamTube can encode your upload videos to HTTP Live Streaming (HLS – m3u8) format, our live demo is running with m3u8 format as you might know.

1. Sure we can embed a YouTube or Rumble live however the downside of embedding a YouTube or Rumble live stream is people cannot participate in the live stream chat without leaving the website.

There is a plugin called WP Stream which can do live stream, so it is possible. You need an external live stream application like OBS and then it sends to a channel created by WP Stream.

2. You say it can get the thumbnail, I know this is true when you are viewing the video in it’s own tab and are just about to watch it. But what about in search results page. Like here https://preview.themeforest.net/item/streamtube-responsive-video-wordpress-theme/full_screen_preview/33821786?_ga=2.23158330.1805501644.1636161367-46442112.1632979396 Where you have all the thumbnails in the search results below, will it automatically pull a thumbnail here? Cause I purchased another theme ‘StreamLab’ and it does not pull the thumbnail in search results.

1. Actually, If you use the WP Stream plugin, that means you embed the WP Stream videos, the videos are stored in the WP Stream servers, not in your server, it works like Youtube or Facebook, they are the same.

2. Surely, these video images will be shown on the search result page (demo), these are the video thumbnail images and will be shown on the entire website.

Hi. I just purchased your theme and tried out putting a video on the demo site I made with a Rumble URL. The thumbnail works on individual video view (see here http://paulh159.sg-host.com/video/mcj-report-135/) but in the search results and category pages it does not bring up the thumbnail.

I was under the impression it could do this so even though I purchased another video theme and then purchased this one hoping it could do this as you said.

Can you look into this and let me know if it can be made possible without uploading the actual video to my server?

Also, when a video is pending review. Where and how do we approve them?

Correction the thumbnail DOES work from YouTube in search results but not from Rumble. Can you get it working for Rumble too please?

1. From the backend, You can navigate to Plugins, deactivate and DELETE the StreamTube core plugin, then, navigate to Appearance > Install Plugins page and activate it again, I just updated the plugin on our server.

After reactivating the plugin, you can edit the video and just click the Update/Publish button (screenshot).

Rumble is supported now, please let me know if the update works for you.

2. If you are an admin or an editor, from the backend, navigate to the Videos page, you can publish the pending posts, it is simple.

Or from the frontend - Go to your Dashboard (screenshot)

- You will see all pending videos on the Videos page and you can click on the dots of the pending video, a dropdown will appear and click Approve item (screenshot 1), screenshot 2.

I would like to let you know that I updated the theme, after updating the theme, you can navigate to the Appearance > Install Plugins page and update the StreamTube Core plugin.

The Rumble video is supported, to generate the image, you can edit the video and just click the Update/Publish button (screenshot).

Yes it is working. My client will be very happy as we are utilizing Rumble for our “server” to upload videos.

I have one small issue, I am using home page 7 and adding the latest video from my client. On the large video area the actual thumbnail and video is very small. Please take a look.

The YouTube one is fine (see right video sidebar ‘hold the line’ video).

Also I just activated Elementor Pro and got this error message.

1. It is a small issue on the embed page, thanks for letting me know, I updated the plugin, to solve the issue, You can navigate to Plugins, deactivate and DELETE the StreamTube Core plugin, then, navigate to Appearance > Install Plugins page and activate it again.

2. It seems the error does not come from the theme, however, to find out which is causing the error, I suggest that you deactivate the StreamTube Core plugin and activate those Elementor plugins, if the error still occurs, make sure you have the latest version of Elementor and Elementor Pro plugins.

If no luck, could you share the latest version of the Elementor Pro plugin via this form privately? I will have a look into it shortly.

Problem fixed. I updated to latest Elementor Pro and the Rumble video in preview is now full size. Thanks again.

Also a little issue. I have updated the logo in the ‘Customize’ section and it is not updating. Cleared cache and all.

You can upload the logo images at the Appearance > Customize > Site Identity (screenshot).

Please note that we have dark and light modes, you will need to upload two different images, your uploaded logo should work on the dark mode (screenshot).

If you only want to use one mode, you can navigate to Appearance > Customize > Theme Options > General to set the mode.

Does this theme support WooCommerce in any way? I have added the plugin, then added some products, they show on the shop page UNTIL I make a shop template using Elementor which is what I do with all my sites, then the products disappear.

In Elementor when I add a ‘Products Archive’ element it says on the left side bar “Looks like you are using WooCommerce, while your theme does not support it. Please consider switching themes.”

When I am editing the product archive (shop) template with Elementor I can see the products and the page looks nice, when I publish and view the front end the products disssapear. If I turn off the template the products appear but the design is ugly (which is why I am making a template).

Any information on this?

Id like to mention that WooCommerce actually does work with your theme. It just doesn’t work as a Shop (Product Archive) template with Elementor so if you can do some testing with that and see if you can get that working that it will be all good.

On another note, my client really needs a live chat. Now he is able to run a live Rumble and then if we use that link it can display his live inside the theme. However, is there a way to turn the comments section into a live chat so people can “comment” in real time like a live chat on the website? This would be amazing.

You might only need the exact same system you have now with the chat on the right side bar of the video, except it can happen in real time without page refresh.and maybe some cosmetic design to call it a ‘Live Chat’ and also ability to have it on this page video to toggle over the suggested videos (like YouTube does it). http://paulh159.sg-host.com/

Sure. Look I know it’s a custom feature but I promise you it will be a great addition to your theme and make it more unique than the others. You already have a comments feature, you simply need to make it add the comment in real time, and maybe for UI make it take less space (height – padding) so people can see each others comments in real time while watching a live stream (from Rumble or YouTube).
