I suggest that you reinstall the StreamTube Core plugin, it may work.

2. Regarding the Captcha, it is unavailable by default, however, StreamTube uses the default WordPress login page, this means, you can use any captcha plugins as you wish from the WordPress plugins repository, try a search.

Keep in mind that you can always use the 3rd party plugins to extend your WordPress website.

1. To remove the menu, simply, you can navigate to Appearance > Menus, select the menu you configured for the Primary Menu location and uncheck the Primary Menu checkbox (screenshot).

1. To disable comments, you can try this free plugin and you can paste this CSS snippet to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS field to hide the Allow comments checkbox.

2. You can paste this function to the end of streamtube/functions.php or streamtube-child/functions.php file (recommended), I may add it in the next update.

is there a specific coding I need so that the videos in the Media File also get deleted.

3. It is a nice idea but currently not available, I may add it in the next update with an option on the Theme Options panel along with other great new features.

The last thing I want is to clutter up the Media Files with videos that are never seen.

It is normal, the scheduled posts shouldn’t appear on the front pages because no one can see them except the post owner and the admin, this is a core feature of WordPress.

Those videos are displayed because you selected “Any” status (screenshot), this is just an advanced option, imagine, if the members can navigate to the scheduled post single page, this means, it is not a scheduled post.

Let me answer the great questions.

1. It does, from the backend, you can navigate to Settings > General and enable the Membership option, you might select the default role for new users from the New User Default Role dropdown field (screenshot), subscriber role is default and recommended.

To upload/embed videos, they need to be an Author role.

To register an account, the users can easily click the red “Sign In” button on the header and navigate to the Register page (screenshot).

Does this already have membership site functionality built into it?
Can I set it up to allow my users to create an account and then upload videos to the site?

~ To any of them. I was thinking in terms of being able to purchase a video hosting plan from a provider and then maybe have some kind of way to integrate that. Like through an access or authorization key. There is at least one plugin that I know of that you can do this but they only have access to aws, google cloudfront and one other one, but those may be a little too expense because there is no way to cap limits to a certain amount. The providers I was interested in are the ones where you have monthly limits so that you can control usage and costs.

4. It is, you will need a server or hosting with enough resources

5. The FFmpeg is used to encode your uploaded videos, imagine when you upload a video onto Youtube, Youtube will encode it into playable formats, otherwise, the video may not work for a number of reasons.

If you plan to build a hosted-videos website, you will need FFmpeg to be installed on your server, on the Ubuntu server, you could install FFmpeg via the terminal

sudo apt install ffmpeg

if you only embed videos from other websites, just ignore it.

Most shared-hosting providers might not support FFmpeg because it eats a lot of RAM, anyway, you should ask the hosting support staff for further details.

6. You will be able to install all required plugins after verifying the purchase, please check the VERIFY PURCHASE AND THEME UPDATE in the documentation.

7. Unfortunately, It is not ready yet, this does not mean the plugin cannot work with the theme, it should work as it is made but no guarantee.

If you have no FFmpeg, You can deactivate the WP Video Encoder plugin.

I checked your backend, you will need to increase the Maximum upload file size value in your PHP settings (screenshot), it is currently 2MB as you can see, very small for uploading video files, you should increase it to 64MB or greater.

Please read How to Increase the Maximum File Upload Size in WordPress

If you aren’t sure how to implement that, please ask your server technical.

After increasing, you may activate this free plugin for uploading the big files, it works very nice.

I can see that you increased the maximum file size to 8MB, which means you cannot upload a file size larger than 8MB, this isn’t something we can do in the theme, I uploaded a 6MB file for testing and it worked fine (screenshot).

I’m afraid you will need to increase the maximum file size to 64MB or bigger as suggested.

After increasing the size, you may activate this free plugin for uploading the big files.

I had a look into your website, your server does not support exec function and that is the reason why the encoder cannot work.

Please enable the exec function, if you aren’t sure how to enable it, please ask your technical administrator.

1. Sure, I will, I love WP and my themes.

2. The live demo website is used for demo purposes, in real life, the video time will appear exactly as it is, the theme will handle the video time after the file is uploaded, you could also adjust the time manually if you wish.

3. You can, I use this free plugin, it supports adding menu icons for all menu items, you could try it on your own website.

4. You can modify the child theme instead of the parent theme, the child theme is included in the purchase package.

5. You could modify the theme as you wish but you will need to understand WP coding knowledge.

Please note that I don’t provide support for the modified version for a number of reasons, this means, if you modified the theme, you will not get support if you meet any problems.

6. I may add it to a future update.

7. If you own a server or a VPS with Linux, you can easily install the FFmpeg, please read How to Install FFmpeg in Linux?, otherwise, you should ask the technical administrator.

FFmpeg can encode the videos to HLS, if you only embed the Youtube videos, just omit it.
