In the settings I have changed the Font to Amiri on everything, but the theme still loading Lora from Google.
So now basically I’m asking the browser to load 2 fonts from Google for no reason.
Lora font seems to be hard-coded .. how can I get rid of it as I don’t need it and it is causing extra data and loading time.
Also what does this option do exactly? image included.Please note that I do use thumb regenerator plugin anyway.

- Search is working because I have installed demo page and edited that to get it. Need to know how can I get the same search for new pages, unable to find it. - Contact form created by you is not working at all. Hello I have something strange with my website since many weeks now. Indeed when I try to upload images in my article it does not work and it even crashes the website. So the image does not appear in the wordpress library or in the article even though it is present in the upload folder of the site. After trying everything I think the problem would be with template writting after disabling all extensions to no avail. Are you aware of this kind of problem? Regards

Optimize Featured Images Quality is already set NO but but the problem persists!!! other tracks? I ve been stuck for months and as I said I had already explored several and the only certainty is that the problem is related to the template. So if PHP 7.4 is not yet supported what is the latest version supported by your template?

I suggested the “Optimize Featured Images Quality” as it’s the only function that depends on some php features, it should be working on 7.4 too but I suspected that it’s the reason of this issue as it’s related to image upload as it may differ between servers, I can’t replicate this issue on our side although we are using 7.4 too.
However, as this isn’t the case here apparently. I’ve emailed you additional steps that may help us track the issue.

I’m almost there, I think. I was able to get a basic footer up and running, which is all I really need.
I do have a question that probably isn’t meant for you, but I thought I’d ask.
Part of my site — byalecharvey.com — is a tab/gallery of my freelance work. I’m using the supsystic gallery, and it works fine on a laptop, but it’s not loading on my phone. Any idea what I can do to make that work? Do you recommend a different gallery plug in?

That ended up being fixed by Siteground support. Thanks! I have another simple question that I should be able to figure out. I’m trying to add a widget (categories) to the default sidebar, but I can’t figure out how to add the header so that it’s spaced like the others.
OK. Just a few more questions and I may leave you alone. lol.
First, the question I asked above. If you look at my sidebar at byalecharvey.com, you’ll see that the Tags header is aligned differently than the other headers. I don’t know how to make it the same as the others.
Secondly, is there a way to add a list of links to the sidebar? Kind of a “Favorite Links” list that I keep updating?
Lastly, are their different ways to indicate who wrote the post. For instance, in the metadata, instead of just my name, can it say “By Alec Harvey”?

Thank you for your patience, for the first question, it seems to me that you have added two categories widgets, the first one has headline while the second one has categories, I’ll need to see the widgets editor page, can you please send me a screenshot of the page to support[at]ahmad.works so that I can help you better?
for the second question, you can create a menu with the links you want to share at (Appearance > Menus) then (Add New Menu). After this go to (Appearance > Widgets) and add the Navigation Menu widget and select the menu you have created
For the last question, this option isn’t available currently, but it’s indeed a great suggestion I’ll add it to the next theme update.

Thanks! I just didn’t know if you were getting these posts or not. Main question is about the footer. I’m not quite sure how to use the widgets to build my footer. Is there anything out there that can help me with that? And on a post, the cutline below the photo, is there a way to make that flush left rather than centered? (These may be stupid questions—I’m brand new at this). I love the theme, by the way, and for the most part, I was able to get through it and build my site pretty easily.
For the footer, you can set widgets for your footer from (Appearance > Widgets) then insert the widgets you need at Footer Widgets 1 or 2 or 3 as you like
For the cutline below the photo, can you please explain more?

Yeah, this is where my inexperience kicks in. I see the footer widgets, but I just don’t know what to do with them. Do Footer 1, Footer 2 and Footer 3 show up at different parts of the page? Or do I just use one of them? And as far as cutline, I mean the caption of a photo. Can it be flush left?
The footer area is divided to 3 columns, footer 1 is the first column while footer 2 is the second column and footer 3 is the third column
For the cutline (image caption), it should be already aligned to left by default, can you please write me your website link (more specifically, a link to a page that contains image caption) so that I can see why it’s not aligned to left?

The flush left worked great! (I don’t know how to remove the cache, so I didn’t do that, but it still worked). The met tag setting was already set to yes. I can’t figure out why it’s not working.

I have it set to show the latest blog post for the category I want to display, but the text of the blog post does not show. Only the image displays, with an excerpt of the post.

Don’t worry it’s common issue that can occur with users new to installing WordPress themes is a “Broken theme and/or stylesheets missing” error message being displayed when trying to upload or activate the theme. The sidebar of the Writing theme(sample) includes ‘Categories’, ‘Recent posts’, ‘Tags’, and ‘Search’.
Among them, ‘Recent posts’ were found, but the rest of the widgets were not found.

Hey Author! I really liked your theme and bought it a few days ago to publish my blog site and tremendously enjoying it. But I need some advice to improve my site performances.
I have tried to run a site speed test via Google Pagespeed Insights and GTMetrix and both are auditing to eliminate render-blocking resources and details are as per below:
Resources are blocking the first paint of your page. Consider delivering critical JS/CSS inline and deferring all non-critical JS/styles. Resources that may be contributing to render-blocking include minified cache (currently using W3 Total Cache).
1) Would you be able to give me some advice to resolve the issue please? or any recommended plugin that might help?
2) I have also tried to use a CDN plugged called BunnyNet and as soon as I installed it, all svgs were displaying squares. Any advice on that too?
