Is there a way to let the blog templates be used for pages? I have a bunch of things set up for pages (for parent/child relationships), but would prefer to use the blog template for them vs. the default page templates.

Hello out there, my page (fokusprodukt ch) uses the full-slider-page as start page and seo-checks are complaining that I don`t have a H1-titles there. And indeed: All the titles are H3. How can I change that in the code? (Tried css and clueless editing the code of the page with replacing H3 with H1 but that didn`t help.) Thank you for your help!

(Just adding this code to additional CSS editor in the costumizer didn`t work for me. So I went deep into my webhosting files: wp-conten – themes – jackryan and edited the slider-full-page.php file with replacinh H3 with H1. That helped.)
You could have changed the tag without logging in to the server. WordPress has a built-in file editor. In anyway, the main thing is that the issue has been resolved

Hi, 1. Can you clarify if the homepage are posts? (its not clear since clicking the “View Case” is set at #) 2. If you have 1000’s of posts, can you limit/restrict the homepage to a number? 3. Does the slider/swipe feature allow you to swipe up/down, instead of left/right? 4. Why are the sliders soo jumpy for responsive size? (mobile and tablet size are not smooth like desktop). 5. Apparently you purchased the theme through the Envato Elements platform. There, during registration, there is an agreement that states that goods purchased on the platform are not supported by the authors.
The plugin itself, unfortunately, has not been supported for 2 years, it was also removed from the repository of the official WordPress site, but I managed to download it to my hosting and redirected the download from there. I have purchased the theme and i must say, is not easy to customise it. The block settings are hidden and is not easy for someone that has no technical experience to be able to make any adjustments. I am trying to customise the text on the sliders and i can’t, i can only change the font family but not the size of the text! can you please create a video on your documentation how to do that? Also, there is a new version of Advanced Custom Fields PRO plugin and i can’t update it – it asks me for a license? The slider flickers when in mobile view – is this a bug?

This theme works on the functions of WordPress, but has additional options with the ability to change the font, color scheme, and more. For font size changes and other more detailed theme customization, you can use the additional css style (using the customizer).
So, basically i have to do hardcoding to be able to make any changes to the theme? there are no functions for me to be able to add additional text block to the slider etc. It is very limited. The only things i can change are the blocks that you have already created and that is only text and images… I’d have to be a developer to do the things i want. Can you also let me know how to stop the slide flicker on mobile view?
This is usually how it works – the buyer chooses a theme for himself, buys it and imports a demo date, then replaces the pictures, text, font and colors to his liking. I didn’t say anything about hard coding, it’s about styling elements with a cascading style sheet (css). You can also create your own additional fields using the ACF plugin(I will update it in the near future).
There are also other plugins, for example, the elementor plugin is very popular at the moment. It is very flexible to settings. On which mobile browser do you have flashes in the slider?
I tried installing Elementor with this theme and the slider gets stuck in 5th slide.. I want to add some additional text section to the slide but it doesn’t work with Elementor? Any way of solving this issue?
I did research how to create additional fields with ACF but nothing is working whenever i try and ad fields. The field is showing in the backend but doesn’t reflect the changes on the frontend. I would have expected this to be documented, but it isn’t. I am very disappointed with the purchase to be honest.

Regarding the elementor: this plugin uses built-in widgets, all content manipulation and editing is done only with them. The slider that works in my theme was made using the ACF plugin and swiper.js
Slider full page – hyperlinks, font and color
Hello MadSparrow, I (a photographer) love your theme and like to work with it. With html code on the slider full page I managed the text lines to be hyperlinks by themself (instead of using the icons under the texts). But now the font is not white anymore but the color I set for accents. Can I change that?
Furthermore in the customizer-Typography I can adjust the fonts for titles and it affects the texts of the side hero section (thinner) but it does`t affect the slider full page texts (still bold). Can I change that?

Hi, I am trying to get a link to my LinkedIn page to show up in the socials. When I paste the link into the LinkedIn section of the socials widget (Jack Ryan Social Links), I can Update the page and it says it is saving it, but then when I return, the link/URL is not populated. As a result, I can never actually see the link appear on the page (footer or contact section). If I put text in the Title section, it will show the Text on the Contact page, but never the LinkedIn icon or link to the website.

When using the “Slider Parallax” function for the home page of my website, whenever I access the site, the slider will be on the fourth “slide” and will suddenly lurch to the first slide.
I have “Autoplay” turned off (which is buggy anyways and just lurches between whichever slides it desires, usually the first and fourth), so I would hope that it would just sit on the first slide until someone actually scrolled.
I’d like to use the Autoplay feature and have this theme work, but I haven’t made much of any adjustments for it out of the box.
Please advise!

If you want, you can use another third party plugin of the same type (block gallery). But if you need exactly the plugin that I use, then I will try to download for you from my installed demo theme.

Hello! your theme is beautiful, and I love it, but I’m having two minor issues:
1. The portfolio page always displays every entry, no matter how they are categorized. For example, I have a category called “Baking.” It shows every portfolio entry, even the ones for the other categories.
2. Is there any way to hide the featured image on posts? I’ve tried doing this myself with CSS, but it just leaves a blank space at the top of each page where the featured image should be. I love having a featured image for my blog list page, but I use a lot of pictures in my posts, so it just makes the actual blog entry look more cluttered. I tried poking around in single.php to see if there was an obvious fix, but I was a bit out of my depths!

1. The portfolio structure displays all of your work, but it is also possible to filter them by category using the API. Unfortunately, there is no such option to display on different pages – different categories. To implement this, you need to write additional code.

Thanks so much for your answer. I don’t think I explained the portfolio issue clearly. The filter by category option doesn’t seem to work for my site. No matter which category I choose, it shows every work in my portfolio. It’s not a huge deal, I can just change the titles of my work to make it clear which category they belong to, but “Filter by Category” seemed like such a cool option and I was excited to use it. Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated.

This theme is built entirely on the official WordPress features. It supports all plugins, but be careful, sometimes plugins can conflict with each other.
My clients installed these two plugins for themselves and they had no problems with it.
