Hi, Does your theme support uploading videos such that some will be available for free for guests and users, and some available only for logged in users paying a monthly/yearly subscription or membership? The videos are to be uploaded to my server and used by this theme. This way I can control the access to the paid videos. Thank you.

Hi bandieramonte1,

Thank you for your interest in Francesca theme :)

Please note that this functionality is not related to the theme. Themes are meant for displaying content, they don’t provide any functionality. You can read more about this at https://webmandesign.github.io/docs/francesca/index.html#plugins

You can upload videos directly to WordPress, it works out of the box.

If you want to sell videos, this is possible in WooCommerce plugin out of the box (with downloadable/virtual products https://woocommerce.com/document/digital-downloadable-product-handling/ ).

Subscription model can be added with plugins depending on your needs. https://wordpress.org/plugins/search/subscription/

Best regards,

Oliver

Hi Oliver, Thank you for your detailed answer, it clarified many things. Great looking theme by the way!

Hi, would you recommend this theme also for a business website without e-learning?

Hi allerlay,

Thank you for your interest in Francesca theme :)

Yes, you can use the theme for any purpose you like. I’ve seen several of my customers at support forum using Francesca for business websites too. You can even use it for other purpose website if it fits your needs.

All of my themes are multi-purpose, actually. I just choose a specific topic during their development process for main inspiration. Also, there is no “multi-purpose” category here on ThemeForest :)

In case of any additional questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Best regards,

Oliver

beautiful theme

Thank you, akhils783, I’m glad you like the theme :)

hi there, does this theme support wpml? i was thinking its no issue when purchased but i just saw nothing in the description. thanks and keep up the good work.

Hi pi-pages,

The theme should work with any plugin, actually. I personally recommend using Polylang instead of WPML, but I don’t see any reason why WPML should not work with the theme.

If you experience any issues, please report them at https://support.webmandesign.eu/ where I can provide thorough help.

Best regards,

Oliver

thanks, it works well with the latest wpml plugin!

What a lovely theme and love that accessibility is the priority with your work. Do you have any suggestions on a documentation plugin (like a knowledgebase or ability to jump through documentation with a sidebar table) that is accessible that can be combined and used on your site. I would hate to purchase this lovely plugin and then make it not accessible for my needs. Thanks

Hi mcmoore,

Thank you for interest in Francesca theme :)

Unfortunately, I can’t really recommend any similar plugin you are looking for as I’ve never had a need to use such plugin.

But I believe you can build a documentation website using native WordPress posts and proper categorization. You can then display categories in the sidebar (or even a Navigation Menu widget).

As an alternative you can create a dedicated “Knowledge Base” post type using plugin such as Pods. Everything really depends on your needs.

The solution I’ve mentioned here should not compromise accessibility. (But keep in mind you have to create your content following accessibility best practices: https://webmandesign.github.io/docs/francesca/#accessibility)

If you are looking for a more complex solution with a dedicated knowledge base plugin(s), please ask the plugin developer about its accessibility. Please understand that I can’t evaluate accessibility of 3rd party software.

Best regards,

Oliver

Hello, how do I change the icons you used in demo content Home 3 Yoga instructor (those in the 3 blocks “relaxing and safe” green an d eco” “accessible”. Thank you

I thought they were svg files from webfonts such as “font awesome” or the like, I saw your icons are linked that’s why I thought I could use a font or something like that. Thank you

The theme does not limit you in any way. You can even use a dedicated icon plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/search/icons+block/) or if you can add icon SVG code into “Custom HTML” block (you can obtain SVG icons from https://icon-sets.iconify.design/ for example).

great thank you!

Hi, I like your theme but will the user be able to login to their account and see only their purchased videos? Because Account page and Buy now buttons are not working in the demo site.

Please advice. Thank you!

Hi patelsmit11,

Thank you for your interest in Francesca theme :)

Please note that such functionality is not part of any theme. It must be added to WordPress via plugins. Depending on your needs:

WooCommerce plugin provides access for customers only to content they’ve purchased. Please check WooCommerce documentation for more info: https://woocommerce.com/documentation/

In case you are building an online courses website there are various LMS plugins you can use, such as https://wordpress.org/plugins/tutor/ or others: https://wordpress.org/plugins/search/learning+management/

Depending on your needs you can possibly even use a membership plugin or a membership WooCommerce extension: https://wordpress.org/plugins/search/membership/

Feel free to use a plugin that best suits purpose of your website project.

Best regards,

Oliver

Thank you, AliA :)

Hello,

I like your theme, so I would like to ask you, if you have any showcase of accordions, tabs and some other elements (flip box etc.).

Thank you and good luck

Ahoj a mockrát děkuji! :)

I focus on building accessible themes, so I tend to stay away from such elements in theme demo websites as they tend to be inaccessible often. I try to find a way of displaying information other, yet equally interesting way.

But saying this, you are free to use any plugin that produces such elements on your website. Such elements should always be added with plugins and not with themes, anyway.

For example, for block editor (Gutenberg) you can try https://wordpress.org/plugins/flexible-faqs/ to display accordions. Or use more robust block plugins such as https://wordpress.org/plugins/kadence-blocks/

You can also use any page builder with the theme: https://webmandesign.github.io/docs/francesca/#any-page-builder

The theme demo website does not use any of such plugins as it represents the theme itself and what you can do with the default WordPress editor and the theme (and some plugins such as WooCommerce, https://github.com/webmandesign/demo-content/tree/master/francesca/#required-plugins).

Also, you can definitely use the theme to build both accessible and inaccessible websites, depending on your project.

Best regards,

Oliver
