Lovely theme and well built however I need to request a feature addition.
Services. There’s no way to split them so on the services page it renders all posts under the custom post type Services. That’s the issue.
Example – say we sell plumbing and gas plumbing – two totally different services with different experiences and skills. Typically we’d have categories to list all plumbing under one services category; and list all gas services under another category.
In this example you could never list all 45+ services as one. They’re totally different so it requires categories so when we load the services widget to render the individual services, it allows us to pick either a tag / ID / category so we can select the relevant service to the correct page showing those services.
Is it possible to implement this as a matter of cause/urgency otherwise I’ll need to delete the theme and request a refund as it really isn’t usable as-is.
Granted we have discussed this via a ticket, but I don’t want it to go ignored – it’s a necessity in order to properly render & display services.
I can probably edit the core theme and add categories – after all it’s just a custom post type so not sure why it was omitted at build? But I don’t have the time to do this, on what should be a basic need.
Please can this be looked into asap?

The issue is I need to build the site this month so if you cannot sort it urgently then I would require a refund so I can get a theme that actually works as it should. Never seen a theme yet whereby services as a custom post type doesn’t allow categories and / or any method of selecting specific services to render on a page.
Very strange but as things stand, I am not sure we can do much with this theme. Quite a shame as I do like it – just this services issue which is stopping me from building the site as we cannot have over 200 services on a single page – we must split them somehow – is there a function / hook you can advise to do it temporarily? Anything really to allow us to select which services to display on each page would be perfect…

I am not threatening anyone – why on earth would you assume that is a threat? It is a simple request that ought to be standard and it is not a threat – it is a fact. If it cannot be achieved then the theme is no good to me as explained, so that’s what I said. That is not a threat – its just a compatibility issue.
