This theme is great due to many features. The author of this theme worked hard to create it. But the Ella ver 6.2 have some issues. Hope the author of the theme will consider it.
The collection page is not showing the title of the page and the background image.
When you will rebuild the site from scrath on Ella version 6.2 you will notice the product description format is not same as it was in Ella 5.1. I mean there will be distrubance in text layout some text lines will be merging without line space in the paragraph.
There are only two footer options in Ella version 6.2 while Ella version 5.1 had ten footer options.
As you mentioned that you built this Ella version 6.2 from scrath and you worked on it approx 12 months so if we want to update the theme from Ella ver 5.1 to 6.2 then we will have to build our website from scratch again. But I think it is very difficult for website developers to rebuild the site again only to update the theme. Because a lot of time is required to do all things.
I requested at support that i want to bring the collection descriptiion at the bottom on Ella version 5.1 and they did it but now if i will update this theme to 6.2 then all that work will be disturbed. I want to write long different description on every collection page. And if there will be long descripton on start of the page the visitor will have to scroll many times to check the products on collection page. So want the collection description below the products on collection page.
And want to request to the author that create collection descripton section moveable so we can drag the collection description section from default to bottom as we move any section.I found this feature in shopmall shopify theme by boosthemes when that theme developer can create this type of feature then why you not offer this feature to us. Is it very difficult to create that you are not working on this.

=> Although Ella 6 has 2 footer layouts, it has custom settings to be able to set up layouts like in our 20 demo homepage.

Hi, For the request number 6: Collection Description in section Main Collection: we added an option to put it on or under product. We will update this feature in the next Ella update version.

This is awesome that you have added the moveable collection description section feature to bring the long different collection descriptions below the products in Ella next version.
And make sure that if I write a paragraph in the collection description then the paragraph should be according to page width and should be aligned automatically. As this paragraph is also aligned according to the page width.
Please highlight this feature in Changelog also because this is very powerful feature.

But Author is actually super genius and is unable to understand what I am saying. I think I have to tell you like babies but these babies are unable to understand. And only wasting my time.
I checked this Ella 6.2.1 version but still I can not bring the collection description below the products on collection page.
What the Author did. The author added collection description section block in the collection header so when I write long different descriptions it shows the paragraph above the collection image banner. The author should add collection description section in the main collection but he added in the collection header. Why

We think your comment can cause mislead to our customers. In our theme, we have Collection Header and Main Collection. Both of them have collection image and collection description which you can move from top to bottom of page. It has 2 places because of the specific designs. I checked this Ella 6.2.1 at IN VOGUE theme and did the content alignment at bottom but still showing description above the collection image banner.
If you are right then move collection description below the products at collection page and send me the picture. Otherwise it seems that you are misguiding me.

You cannot update directly from version 5 to version 6. They are 2 different theme sources. You need to set up theme again as a new theme, we are so sorry for this inconvenience but we have no way to update directly from 5 when 6 is made from 0

Hi, in your demos I don’t see a valid product video feature. I’d like to show prodct videos as part of the product media but keeping the ratio of the uploaded video and not horizontal 6:9. In your demos I only see youtube videos Cheers!

Video on products of Ella you see is uploaded in the product media as Shopify structure.
You can show it as a video icon and popup when clicking the icon or you can show it as a thumbnail image and play the video as the main image.
The ratio will show based on the product image frame but the content of the video depends on your setup in video.

New version of Ella so I understand that many updates are needed but I have only one kindly question – could you please add to every new changelog also information about on what theme files new update have impact? This will save much time for your customers, especially to this customers which made many changes in liquid files.

1. Theme Settings > General > Customization Option > Show Customization Option => Inputs are showing on all products regardless of type selection (All products, Products by Tag, Products by Collection).
2. Theme Settings > General > Customization Option > Show at Checkout? => Customer provided image or text is not showing at cart, checkout page, order confirmation email, or order admin view.

I have a Question about images for Product Variants. I am using Print-on-demand to create different Products for Shopify. Each is a different Color, but identical in Pattern, so I would like to combine them and create a Single Product with Variants, instead of having each Product be separate. Each Color has 4 images/ mockups.
Does Ella allow me to create a single Product for all these Colored Variants?
And when the Customer chooses a particular Color, for example “Blue”, only the 4 images for the Blue variant must be displayed. Is this possible?

The first link you provided doesn’t work.
In the second link, there is only one image per variant. This can be done in Shopify using the CSV file Export/ Import.
However, what I am trying to do is display 4 images for each Variant. When the user clicks on, for example “Black”, she is shown 4 images (Front, Back, 2 Sides) of the model wearing Black T-Shirt.
From looking at the Shopify’s CSV exported file for the Product, it seems as if they don’t support multiple images for variants. Only one image is allowed.
I was wondering whether Ella could provide this functionality… perhaps by storing the different images in its own database (?)

Our Ella Shopify theme works well on Shopify platform only. You cannot use it for wordpress because they are totally different platform.
