In our template, we do not use any software except google fonts and mailChimp (this software is safe). The problem is in the code you added yourself.
I recommend you contact your hosting support for detailed recommendations.
And check the browser console, you have a lot of js errors.

I downloaded the .zip files to my computer and then tried to install. I got this message.

In the latest version you combine all vendor JS to plugins.js and CSS to plugins.css. Do you have it as separate JSs and CSSs or at least a list. I use https://cdnjs.com/ to pull scripts
