And certainly with this case, you will not be able to use Youtube’s player through Google’s API. You need to use Youtube videos in basic embedding mode.

VidoRev uses Youtube Iframe API and it will download Youtube iframe with video player from Youtube. You won’t be able to hide those elements. Please refer: https://developers.google.com/youtube/player_parameters

I don’t understand what you are referring to… Obviously an iframe that is not from Youtube will not display elements from Youtube.

Most likely this service just downloads Youtube videos and stores it on their servers. So please provide correct information from a technical perspective to avoid misunderstandings. And we don’t support that either.

Sorry for misunderstanding. No, it is not a self-hosted video, it is youtube one, through invidous instances. Domains of invidious instances are many, so you can use whatever domain you want from the active list of invidious instances. If the instance is live, the video from youtube is playing without problem. You can try open an youtube link in invidous (or FreeTube, NewPipe), it will play it, just, without any ads, logos and links from youtube. It is like a filter player.

Invidous is an open source instance, that read youtube videos (it not store anything on it), and everybody can setup an invidous instance server. It has many instances on this point in time, across the world, here is the list of active instances:

You can test this instances (servers and domains from list) online, or, you can install on desktop FreeTube, or on mobile NewPipe (from f-Droid App, because, google play don’t host it), Or, you can install “Privacy Redirect” addon for your browser and have it directly access for every site that use youtube iframe, through the invidous instances played.

All the video are pulled from youtube through invidous. If you look at the link code, for example in my case, the “FSyfQ-0DzIQ” it is the same one in youtube, you can try to search this one in youtube, and on FreeTube, the same video.

Exactly the same is with the link code for thumbnail, just pulled from youtube, nothing stored on invidous.

Invidious has it own player, which works perfectly, and there is no youtube logo on videos. The invidous devs are doing great job there.

I put into Video URL on this post, this: <iframe id=’ivplayer’ src=’https://inv.bp.projectsegfau.lt/embed/FSyfQ-0DzIQ?autoplay=1&controls=1&quality=dash' style=’border:none;’ allowfullscreen></iframe>

but, you can use every other instance, like:

It will display the same video from youtube, but, without any youtube logo, link or anything from youtube. We don’t need any player from youtube api.

We don’t need to host thumbnails of every video, it is done for us, just to use it, directly from youtube, through invidous instance. I use the “Featured Image from URL (FIFU)” plugin to display link for thumbnail directly from source, without having to host it on my server. Take a look at this plugin too, it is great. But, maybe you can done it without this plugin, because, if you see, the youtube code for the thumbnail, is the same as for video (8W_1vg7W6Oo).

I just need to use iFrame, because, it wont work on your theme just to put link.

And that is my point: to make it work directly with invidous links, like you do with youtube, vimeo, dailymotion, twitch…

Please, take a closer look at invidous (FreeTube oin desktop and NewPipe on mobile, both are using the same backups of your playlists, follow lists, and so on), try it, and you will see what i mean. It is way better tha using google, or youtube api!

Sorry for my long comment, but, i just want you to understand how it works, and why it is way better.

Hope, we see soon support for invidous and other great sites on your themes, not just big tech crap one.

Sorry, again you’re not correct. Wordpress generates three thumbs natively for every uploaded image. It’s the theme that specifies any additional thumbnails to generate. Surely you know that if you developed this theme?

Don’t need item support for a question relating to why this theme is loading so many additional resources on our server storage.

Exactly, it has a lot of layouts and of course VidoRev will have to declare the image sizes for those layouts.

That’s normal, to make sure the image shows up correctly on different locations.

Please optimize your theme for any future releases so that your purchasers get a modern efficient theme that doesn’t hog resources.

It would also be appreciated that when a purchaser of your theme points out failings and inefficiencies with your theme with suggested potential improvements that will benefit all your customers that you don’t keep on hiding behind Envato’s support policy. This again is not a bug, but a bad design that with a little effort you could improve in a future release, that is of course if you ever do update this aging theme

Man, all you have to do is check if the YZ widgets are working with your own theme since it is packaged with your theme which we paid for. That. Is. All. We dont have to pay for extra support if this is a native issue.

IT’S NOT A BUG!!!! We are simply asking you to fix a feature of your theme that doesn’t work very well. This is for the benefit of all your existing and potentially new customers.

If you have a think about it it’s actually an important feature that hasn’t been designed very well. You need basic sorting of the advanced search at least. That is good practice.
