Hi there! The default thumbnail 300×300 with crop enabled works well for the family collage and family directory. However, I can’t figure out how to change the featured image crop in the galleries section. It always shows the top part of an image (especially in portrait) and I want to be able to choose a section for the featured gallery image. How do I change this?

gallery thumbs are cropped via CSS. You can use this CSS to center the image:

Not sure if that will work honestly. Each family member is created using a custom family member post type, post title is name, content is bio and there are bunch of custom fields for birth/death dates etc.

just create a regular page and set its template to Timeline. Leave the content blank, the timeline will be generated automatically.

1.) You can create a separate editor accounts for any of your family members, but there is no direct link between the editor and the family member. You may need some 3rd party plugin which will allow you to add some sort of post block into a post content which lists posts by author.
2.) You mean on the member archive page? You can change that number under Appearance / Customize / Family / Archive via Number of Columns option, but the maximum is 5. Higher value would require custom coding.

I cannot find a reference to making the Timeline page? There does not seem to be a block command either. I am only using year in the dates. Does that matter?

Hi,
create a new standard page, leave the content blank and set its template (in the right panel) to Timeline. The timeline will be automatically generated when you visit the page, however only for dates in the right format, if you are using only year then it won’t work.

Hi folks, great theme! Wondering would it be possible to integrate the birth dates (and maybe other dates) with some sort of calendar plugin? Ideally I want to have some sort of Month or Year view (with all the Months) that could be printed.
That is the only feature I need that I am not sure this theme supports.

that’s a very solid implementation! I’ve noticed only two issues:
1.) Resolution of your photos in gallery is not optimal, so there are big gaps between thumbnails. You can change that by following this guide (don’t forget to regenerate your images as mentioned in the last paragraph): http://docs.lsvr.sk/lineago.wp/#post-installation-setup-media
2.) I would darken the header overlay layer, as some texts are very hard to ready, especially on the member profile pages. You can do that under Appearance / Customize / Header or under Appearance / Customize / Header respectively.

I have done both the changes suggested by you. However for point 2 increasing ‘Background Overlay Opacity’ from earlier 20% to 50% now, doesn’t seem to darken the header very significantly.

Also how do I add the small ‘Red box’ in the header on to the new custom pages created by me like ‘About me’.
You can add the box by adding a subtitle in the page settings when editing a page.

Gallery problem I can create a gallery but when I try to add one or two new pictures the original gallery is wiped out and only the new pictures appear. How can I add new pictures to the original gallery.

as for the more information, your best bet would be to use custom fields in person post settings.
As for the Gedcom, unfortunately, I do not plan to add support for it, since the theme can’t support all the possible relationships a Gedcom file can contain, so it would be a very partial support which in the end could be very misleading to potential customers.

Hi, I have setup everything with www.xyz.com/community domain. Now, i have changed the hosting location as well as the domain (zyx.com).
I have changed “home” and “siteurl” links in wordpress db but few links are not working and giving 404. Can you help me to change all urls in theme to make website work as dev environment.
